Title: STV Manipulation: How to win an election by supporting your opponent.

Abstract: We study potential manipulations of the single transferable vote (STV) voting rule, where a coalition of voters may vote strategically to change the result of an election in their favour. First outlining landmarks theorems in electoral science, we improve on a manipulation algorithm and use the result to derive a new stability measure. We explore the monotonic properties of the measure and how the stability measure changes under simulated STV elections.
