I have many reports with SSRS and in this first video I have learned some new ways of doing the work, for instance I have never tried the "TextBox Properties dialog" and I have been formating in the properties window all the time. Also i think it is a good idea to show the report environment before working with the data.

This is really valuable and good content. However, I am struggling with the audio. I am not sure what it is, whether it is the low volume or the voice tone or lack of range or the speed or the articulation, but I find it really difficult to follow the accompanying voice. Hoping that you take this comment is a constructive suggestion to improve a fairly good video series. Really difficult if there is any background air conditioning or heating fan noise. Test it on some friendly subjects in a regularly noisy office environment.

I have to learn SQL debugging and data extraction in about 15 days so I immediately uninstalled it and tried something else when I realized what I was trying wasn't going to work. Sadly my virtual server doesn't have enough storage space to install the data tools so I've installed 2012 on my own PC for learning purposes. I installed SQL 2012 express with advanced tools. No idea if that's the one I want or not. I'm really flying by the seat of my proverbial pants here.

You go into a lot of detail as to how to drag tools but no explanation of how this might relate to data coming from an SQL database. As far as the audience is concerned you are simply showing them how to draw boxes on a screen with text in them. What's the difference between what we are doing here compared to doing something which looks similar in Publisher?

The 2014 version doesn't seem to have the same options in the start menu. Doesn't seem to have SQL server data tools as an option.
