This particular sequence seems to be the most valuable i have heard from Mr. Spira so far. (Though all his talks have a coherence that seems to make them fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.) [1] Practical situations [2] Exploring my experience [3] Celebrating my experience. All other thoughts not fitting this pattern should be questioned.

WoW...Love the fact that was emphasized "how many experiences can be experienced at the same time?"...and although the audience laughed, the profoundness of this simple truth is generally overlooked in our culture...Thanks for posting!!!

I don't believe in this false self and true self. All that there is is whatever is being experienced. If that is lostness in thought then do be it. All this demonization and fear of thinking is pointless. You cannot stop a mi d from thinking. The "illusory self" is nothing more than being lost in thought.

@@realmckoy1143 absolutely agree with you. And obviously they too know that but perhaps just for sake of explanation, they have to use concepts like these.

@@realmckoy1143 any belief is a concession to thought which says whether it believes in a supposed separate self or not. Thought is the one that claims itself as an "I" and you're that which is aware of it. In reality there is no thing that is represented in the thought "I" only the subjective cluster of extra feelings thoughts and emotions that you relate to that symbol.

Ha ha ha ... This one of the most beautiful videos in which Rupert expresses his cute side (well, I found that cute 😬) while explaining the process of enquiry.
Lovvved the enquiry part of the explanation 😅💗

Loved this one so much, brought a lot of clarity into the practical side of the nature of thought. 🙏

This topic needs more attention. Everything is experienced through the mind, and thought is predominant in our lives, thoughts, contemplation, reflection, analysis, some is valid, some is poison. This is critical, to be able to discern truth from identity.

I understand what this woman is asking. I had to step back and realize that we are all still here in body with mind. We cannot deny that we are human, what I find myself having to do is step back and take a good look at every thought and only allow and or choose to respond to the thoughts that are for safety , health and sharing love. I do think this will continue for all as long as we are here in body. I think the struggle for many is thinking and trying to deny this human self.

Dear Debra, the idea of "here in body" is a perspective that softens when we investigate and take Rupert's Yoga Meditations to heart.... the human self, the separate-self, is an amazingly stubborn mental habit, we believe into existence. Gentle and loving (-; and maybe some occasional outbursts... What tight place our person can be.
