Oh god this makes me miss my family. My parents are Turkish and I was born and raised in Holland. I have never loved Turkey that much, but seeing these video's make me realize that it's a wonderful and beautiful country. This reminds me of my grandma and grandpa, I used to make all these kinds of food with them and it was wonderful! But sadly i don't remember much of it, so this is amazing for me. Thank you all for making these video's, they always make my day! :)
Can you please make more videos like this? I love learning the story behind the food. It's so great when a video/documentary connects food to culture and people because food is more than what you eat, it's exploring other people's way of life.
People of America need to wake up and start paying attention to what they are eating. Food in US is overly processed, packed with unnecessary ingredients some found in inedible products. Many of my good American friends are taking some type of medicine, and i do not know many who do not take any. Sad thing is, these are pretty young people. I have never heard of so many diseases until i came to US. Well, we learned about diseases in school, but people were not as ill. I believe it is one of the sickest nations in the world. Even their news broadcast called it "Pill popping nation." Government is to blame because they allow lobbyists open doors for poisons. First such corporation that comes to mind is Monsanto. Good people of US, it is time to take your country back in your hands. Corporations/government need to work for you, not the other way around.
That is so true. They are building a Walgreens pharmacy in almost every corner followed by CVS pharmacy. To make matters worst, children in foster care are used as lab rats for Autism medication and other diseases as well. Those are the reason I got out of there. They can keep the paycheck but my children's lives are worth way more than that.
Two sentences that start with "in our religion" is not said by anyone in this video. What's the purpose of adding such cheesy religious statements to the subtitles? Yes I do speak turkish.
