    I agree with the cultural change. The most fun jobs and the ones we don't want to leave are the ones where we all look out for each other and go out of our way.

    I’m actually the chairman on the department shared leadership committee, so I have a small group already. Spoke to manager about ways to implement “new culture” and we are going with education as I know how it empowers me in passion, intercessor to my pt’s, keeps me engaged, etc. was approved to present ‘waveforms’ education at our next department meeting along with other smaller education opportunity. I will be using your videos to help me in our department New Year 2020 vision👓🕶
    Thank you🙌🏽😁

    I think what you are trying to say is nobility over materialistic culture is what we need as a “norm”

    I must admit. When I first started my clinical rotations, I was quite confused because I would have a day with a therapist who loves his job and has the high that you speak of. This got me so excited for this profession ive chosen. But then my next clinical I got put with someone who was very negative and would give me a real hard time because I didn't know how to set up an SVN. It also seemed like they would trying to scare me from this profession by telling me horror stories like if I draw an ABG wrong I could cut off circulation to a patient's arm and kill them. Not saying that isnt possible but the contrast between the therapist that loved his job and the therapist that looked for any reason to find fault in me got me very confused for a while. Its like the negative therapists are so scared that they are going to get sued for something so they do the bare minumum work and always pass the buck if a situation occurs. Is that how it is for anyone else?

      Hey Kyle, you hit the nail on the head. Positive people exude positivity and negative people exude negativity. Positive people naturally bring you up with them, while negative people pull everyone around them down. Sucks that that concept bleeds over into the healthcare profession. Positive vs negative...it's a choice! Good luck my friend!

    Hello! What is the difference between oxygenation index Vs p/f ratio?

    • @RespiratoryCoach
      @RespiratoryCoach  4 роки тому +3

      Oxygen index takes in account for mean airway pressure. P/F ratio does not. P/F ratio and Oxygen Index are inverse of each other. High P/F ratios are good while low Oxygen Index's are good. Video on this soon. Thanks for watching.
