Welcome to Thursday Afternoon Reliving the War. Once again, thank you for the best wrestling program on UA-cam. Can't wait for a Davey Boy Smith Chinlock.
“Ice Ice Maybe Vs The Outsiders”. We were denied this amazing upper-midcard feud. Imagine Earnest Miller kicking Kevin Nash in the head to win? The pop would have been……..
I do not comment enough, but the highlight of my Thursday work day is watching "Reliving the War." I own my own and I have the ability to do it... But sometimes I put up the "will return in 20 minutes" so I can watch uninterrupted lol. I think my customers just assume I eat taco bell for lunch every Thursday which is why I close down around 3:00 briefly as if I'm taking a S*** because it's like clockwork. Keep it up, I love it!!!
This series really shows Eddie's promos Weren't the only thing that improved. His ring work got even more smooth. I wonder was it him getting more comfortable in WCW.
As i've said before, keep saving these as workout videos. Slowly catching up on them and look forward to this one when I get there. They really keep me interested. A lot of fun, a dose of reality and lot of respect when it's deserved. That goes for the career bio's / eras and special events. Great stuff.
I'm so glad that I found this channel. It reminded me how much I loved WCW as an 11 year old and looking back it just hilarious. Thanks for rekindling my enjoyment for the spectacle of wrestling and keep up the great work!
Another awesome upload, from the greatest wrestling channel on the planet. The beginnings of the build up to the debut of Kane on Raw. It was such an over the top storyline. However at the same time, very entertaining. I think from here WWF is going to start running away with “the war”. Besides maybe the odd win from WCW the odd week here and there. This is when WWF really started to come into its own. 1997 was the greatest year for WWF quality wise. Only improving as the year wore on.
@@lexkanyima2195 not by name no. However it’s who Paul Bearer and The Undertaker were referring too. This week marked an important week in the storyline and character development of Kane, before his name was even mentioned. It was only a few more weeks until the name Kane was used.
Waaaayyy past episode 83 (you get the significants).. been following since episode #1! Thank you for taking us through the pandemic and beyond! I'm glad theres someone out there that validates exactly how powerful this Era was for a generation of impressionable young men and women! Thank you!
Yeah, this is one of those episodes of Raw that ends up going down in history - even if it's for the lore rather than the matches. I remember discussing Kane with my best friend on the school playground at the time. We just assumed he would be showing up at some point and we both drew pictures of what we thought he should look like. The actually Kane reveal ended up blowing our minds though and was way better than our ideas (which come to think it - were suspiciously similar to Wrath and Mortis' design). I also never realised that this episode was Cole's first appearance as well. Pretty interesting all in all.
I vividly remember the ending to this Nitro as a kid. It was one of my favorites. So many big time names all coming together there at the end, not knowing what was gonna happen was really an awesome sight.
I mean, they are called the 4 Horsemen.. They already have 4 members.. Jarret was more of a 5th wheel.. I consider that briefcase as one of the members.
31:58 "But Nash then puts an end to the offence with an inverted atomic drop that made Ray's arsehole fall out of his mouth". OMG I laughed out so loud when I heard that!
I've been kicking around your channel for a couple years now. It's fascinating to see how far you've developed your own style (your humor especially!), compared to the early videos. I got roped in off your John Tenta video and I'm glad I've stuck around! Keep up the amazing work Brother!
Seeing Hennig, I always think of the time he wrecked Flair's face with the caged door. I legit hated him for that. There was also the vignettes. Apparently, he could throw a football 80 yards, stick around for a compliment on said throw, then go catch the ball. Mr. fuckin Perfect. One of the best in the ring, up there with Brett or pre BPP Scott Steiner IMO
Sooo..Soon... Bike or be Mikeing? Or Mike or be biking? Fact or be Factioning? So many slogans so little time. Let's call it a Saturday night and dance it out... great content. Love the content brother.......
Excellent videos. You’re about to review the first episode of Raw I ever watched so looking forward to it. I remember Austin having a gun aimed at him in Pillman’s house. Didn’t realise at the time just how amazing it was.
The Pillman gun angle, was featured in a November 1996 episode of Raw. Where Austin broke into Brian Pillmans home, only to be met with Pillman and a gun. I understand Pillman was injured at the time. However a proper feud between Austin and Pillman with a couple of PPV matches, seems like such a missed opportunity. I wonder what it would have done to Austin, Bret Hart and Pillmans careers if they had Austin VS Pillman at WM13, instead of Austin VS Hart.
@@jonathancampbell5231 yeah I know, sadly, before Summerslam Pillman would be gone. Perhaps they did have plans for a future PPV, or series of, between Pillman and Austin. RIP Brian Pillman. An awesome talent taken far too soon.
Must have been confused and thanks for clearing it up folks. I’m sure the Stampede was the first ppv I watched so it was around this time. Anyway good times and excellent videos.
@@Darkuk the Canadian Stampede is an awesome PPV, considered one of the best ever, even although it’s basically a one match show. I watched it live back in the day too. Right at the peak of the Harts VS America storyline.

It's really sad what happened to Taker's family. Had to be hard to deal with as a child.
The AUDACITY of Mcmahon to laugh during such a tragic and heart felt story.
Kane had to deal with most of it, leading him to accidentally murder Katie Vick.
CAN SOMEBODY APRECCIATE THE FACT THAT THIS MAN KEEPS
UPDATING AND UPGRADING HIS INTRO? Its the small things my guy! Keep it going

I've been anticipating each new episode. So much that I'm watching Davey Boy in classic wrestling matches, while Pillman cuts promos in my dreams.
I didn't know I needed only audio feeds of Wrestling matches, and now want to go back and listen to matches to hear if they live up to the same hype.
