Beautiful Jonny! And so well presented, as always. Thanks so much for posting.
Great job you do!
Excellent again! Thank you!
This is sweet. Thanks!
Love this! 💞
Super job, thank you.
Thanks Jonny! The runs you played sounds a heap more sophistated than that G7 one. Or at least we get some variety to choose from now. Thanks so much. Awesome runs you taught. And awesome speed too.
I Love your videos my friend! You teach the details that nobody teachs, thanks!
Very nice ideas! Thanks!..you are the first person to sit down and teach me runs (besides major arpeggios)..Thanks! I needed this!!!!
Another hit, thanks Jonny!
Amazing teaching, thank you!
Thank you Jonny!your lessons are always very helpful! :))
Thanks Jonny for being so generous with the 'good stuff.'
Nice video, good job
Thank you so much
G13 Sharp 11 Flat 9 . Yeah baby.
Awesome 👌 +
That's a beautiful run. I've done that same type of thing throwing a B flat into a second inversion D major arpeggio run, striking the B flat first...all the way up.
Thankyou brother 😊
Thank you
Sweet tip!
I like that format more pls
you could also put quick tips in the title
I love you!
¡Nice!
Him: a very easy g7 run
Me: *sweats* oh yeah
I always wanted to get in to these broken crazy chords its beautiful
Thank you, Jonny, as inspirational as always 🔥 God bless you! You’re one lf my biggest inspirations in piano! 🎹

Both those arpeggiated dominant extension runs have a sort of timeless, rarefied beauty. They speak to the expansion of the harmonic palette that twentieth century music instilled in our collective musical imagination. Insofar as my own aesthetic sensibilities dictate, I would advise against playing something pedestrian following that intro. Or, put another way, these particular extended dominant chords have a profound beauty that should be reserved for special moments in a set. But overall I totally agree with you that when executed properly it makes the performer sound like a well seasoned house musician at the Village Vanguard circa 1959. Wait, here’s a good analogy: say someone gifted you an expensive bottle of wine that’s sure to be a special experience drinking. You’re not gonna want to uncork it on a date with a girl barely 18 who hasn’t figured out yet if she’s comfortable dating a man as opposed to a boy. This date might have some comical light hearted moments, but it’s not going to provide the ambiance that let’s you enjoy the subtle qualities of this special bottle of wine. (It’s also not wise to ply a minor with alcohol depending on what state you reside in!) disclaimer: the preceding anecdote is hypothetical fiction for the sole purpose of illustrating abstract concepts in music aesthetics...yeah, right!
Man , this is what happens when you comment on YT after a fat blunt. Albeit I was seduced by harmonic feast that fell so mellifluously upon my ears and then upon my morning melancholy to coax hope into my day.
@@DrTWG lmao
I have never seen this methodology before...going to try it out!
God, I feel so dumb.
🔔😊
That 20:16 tuplet though
Do you live in Bern ?
You make it look easy. Were you classically trained first? When did you do all of your woodshedding? Your 10,000 hours. 🙃
C#m7 / G7 shell (G+F) = this chord. Anyone reading this...youre welcome for this technique
E6 (root at top) /G7 shell -- basically major 6 on the 6th (E being 6th of G)
for the blues arpeggio, make it B major (drop the 5th) / G7 shell. basically 3rd major (drop the 5th) over the dominant shell
I hate it when I have the runs
Unless there colorful ..... lol
Aren't they just playing it how they see it as written?
you say piano like pyano
good lord it takes you a long time to get to teaching the run
You are not my real dad!!!
Nitpicking...should be flat 5 instead of sharp 11...Nitpicking. Thumb on A flat. I'm so tedious.
toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BULLSHIT
Too basic. not sophisticated enough.
What ? O.o
@@brianplassan2793 No harm meant, but there's not much "feeling" . No "Mood" Yes it feels to you and most people but only a handful can sense true feeling. Would you like to share music background in order to better understand me?
Sure it has not much feeling I can feel it too. The idea is interesting but the rendering isn't that good.
I knew what you mean but the man Is doing it mostly for beginners and as a pro I think you know how to teach beginners... Sometimes I look to this 5 years old Asia play the piano and i say wow they are damn good. However they play like robots! If I were them I'd rather play music that require less technic and more feeling
@@SalHardy Yes why not. Send me
@@brianplassan2793 I understand. And by the way, this is music ....................beauty is not a profession, its an existence. I am a spirit of conscience and feelings. When you say "pro" are you referring to people who makes a living by way of music?..............because in my eyes, there are no pros............there is music.......and then there is beauty.
