When I was knitting the Nightshift shawl, I had a weird curl in the first few rows. The Drea Renee ravelry boards came to the rescue and suggested once you knit the 3 i-cord stitches at the start of the row, add a yarn over and drop the yarn over on the way back. It gave me the perfect amount of slush in the i-cord and let everything block perfectly. Thank you again to the lovely makers who were there to help me out.
Hi Andrea, I've found your channel just a few weeks ago, I know nothing about spinning and never thought I would be interested in it buy your joy for spinning is so contagious that I want to try it too! I've already checked for courses in my area and found a cool one. Let's see how many more of your episodes I need to watch before signing up 🤘I love your podcast, learned so much already! Sending you much love from The Netherlands, Olga 🧡
I've been meaning to leave a comment about how thankful I am that you mentioned bust darts several episodes ago! I unraveled a sweater last week because I was so unhappy with my increasing method, and thanks to your inspirational comment, I was able to research bust Shaping. I'm currently re-knitting my sweater and I know I'll love it!!🥰
Happy holidays, I wish you a very fun time with your family. I wish us all Peace, Health, Empathy, Compassion, Connection, Love and Joy for the new year. May you all have lots of time for creativity and crafting !
Your comments on the icord were a Christmas present! Three cheers for another year of fabulous knitting tips ‘n tricks (maybe I’ll be a spinner one day. My hubby says he wants to try it. What?! Yay!!) Looking forward to 2024. Thank you for all you do 🎄♥️
About the i-cord edging on a rapidly increasing edge, I add a yarn over before the i-cord. Then I drop it on the way back. I’m pretty sure AM has suggested this before.
Thank you for answering my question! I finished the three needle bind off while I watched and now I get to block my shawl 🙌 tassels to be added later 😊
“Well-prepped fiber spins better…” …right off the BAT. Do you think the origin of this saying comes from the spinning process?? Love learning so much from you although I’m not a spinner. Happy New Year, Andrea!!!
My husband overheard you say your dog is a "Chug" and he immediately said "Andrea just went all the way up on my list, you can buy all of her patterns..." (1. as if I dont already, and 2. We have two pugs!) Also- thanks for the tip on I-cord edging, so smart. I wouldn't have thought of that!
Did you mean pre-(before) blocking for the tassels? So, if the yarn looks wavy you want to have the tassels on the shawl so they would relax while soaking.
Hi Andrea, I am relatively new to spinning and find I am confused over some of the language. Please explain the difference between a batt, rolag, and braid. Also, you have talked about making a rolag. How does one make a rolag? In this episode you mentioned that it is harder to spin from a rolag because it is more difficult to draft a rolag. Thanks in advance for your answers. I watch every one of your weekly episodes, and I will be looking forward to your answer to my many very beginner questions.

I usually put a single crochet edge when a pattern calls for Icord. It is easy to work and lies flat. It is easy to adjust and frogs easily.
Miniature Dachshunds oh my God!
Thanks for the video! My grandparents dog was named Lil Bit also ❤
I think a tiny glimpse/ tour of your glorious looking studio would be sooooo cool! 😬

I’m thinking of getting a support spindle next year and beginning. Your smile when you talk about it just makes me want to.
I’ve only had mini dachshunds! They’re the best little barky dogs!!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday, Andrea. ❤️🎄💚
