Join me for a peaceful morning ride on a single-loop at Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring, Florida. This ride took place on a 45-degrees cold Wednesday morning, allowing for a tranquil experience with fewer crowds.
We'll follow the marked bike route as well as pick up a section of "secret" trail

History: This unique park preserves a remnant of Florida's ancient hammocks - islands of hardwood trees that once dominated the landscape. Established in 1931, it offers a glimpse into the state's rich ecological history.
Ecology: Highlands Hammock is home to a diverse array of plant and animal life, including towering oaks, majestic cypress trees, and diverse wildlife. While sightings were limited on this particular morning, the park is known to host deer, turkey vultures, and a variety of bird species.
Natural Beauty: The park's pristine beauty is truly captivating. The lush greenery, winding trails, and serene atmosphere provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
