Ever since I discovered the Cardano project........I've been deeply in love (lol). I love their goals, concepts for smart contracts, and how green the project is overall. I also love the academic approach behind the scenes for stability and reliability. Ergo being similar pretty much means I need to get some because these projects are really appealing to me! The rent storage an amazing feature, as it eliminate a very common problem with every crypto supply so far : coin get lost, because the keys were lost, the owner died or whatever and In these conditions, given a long enough period of time, every coin would be lost or taken out of circulation. The ergo rent will drain these lost wallets over time making sure every coin is still usable as long as the network exist. Great foresight

Also something else to consider, in the mining circles, this is one of the very hot coins being considered to be mined after Etherium goes Proof of stake. This would bring a tremendous amount of hash rate power to its blockchain and make it a very popular coin amongst miners to be traded, the price could explode then.

Mine whatever is most profitable and use that money to buy ergo... don't mine another coin just to get some, think smart. Or mine multiple coins and hold for the long term
I think the 4 years redistribution movements are for something much projects don't take into account: death. I know the "every token is fractionable to a small amount" but is a big flaw into their design to not think a way to manage wallets after someone died. Obviously you can (and should) think of a smart contract to manage your coins after you're not here anymore but have something that does it by design is a great long term approach
the part where you mentioned charging wallets that have been non active for 4 years is genius because people lose wallets and this would mean the lost wallets would still be valuable to the ecosystem
That would be a bit annoying for me as I have some crypto in wallets for my son to inherit if they go well. Token price appreciation plus compounding staking rewards. So now I have to remember to make a transaction every 4 years. A pain when one uses off-line storage. I thought that staking was contributing to the ecosystem. Now, you want to charge for it. If the tokens in a wallet and rewards disappear from the system, doesn't that reduce supply and therefore contribute to token price appreciation in the long term? I just quit an online broker because they were charging me for not costing them anything.
I partially agree but i do see situations where that can be a serious issue. What if someone looses their wallet during a large move and cannot find it for years until one day they find it in a box in the attic 6 years later, or a person gets a 5 year jail sentence and gets out hoping to have money to survive on and it is all gone. It certainly has issues with that part.. Or worse case is a person gets in a wreak, goes into a coma and stays in the coma for 10 years, he comes out of the coma and his money is gone..
@@bk341 if ur realizing it now ur kinda late already. Best case it hits 750b market cap. That's a 7.8x over a $3 price. Key is to find something under 1b market cap then watch it hit +100b market cap.

I seriously have the SAME bubbly feeling I had for Cardano 2 years ago with Ergo. I think people will be blown away by just how fast it’ll climb to the Top 10. The community is growing but not as apes but as intellectuals who appreciate TRUE decentralization and what a crypto is meant to be. Ergo is what Satoshi would have made and would be proud of it.
The thing about the storage rent (coins that are not moved for 4 years can be taxed slightly) is that it solves the problem of coins being lost forever - like how in bitcoin out of 21 million coins there are estimated to be 8 million lost forever. This is not ideal. And what do miners do at the end of the emmision? Ergo solves both problems with storage rent.. it's not a massive thing it's just one of many examples of why this project is exceptional

@@MaxMaher Under $2 is a great entry point though. The merge is around the corner, I can't see how Ergo wouldn't take the spotlight, or a major part of it. It has the best tech out of the top contenders.

Well, that's funny. I was very excited about which project you're gonna mention here and then it's ERG, which I follow and own for a long time already. Appreciate your effort. Since - as you said - their marketing is lacking a bit, every attention through videos like this is very welcomed. The ERG subreddit is very similar to ADA as many ADA holders find out about ERG when they deep dive through Cardano for informations. It's important to stay sceptical and not to eat the golden apple at first sight, but I think it's safe to say that this team and their project, their approaches and their ideas are ahead of the time. They pretty much nail it.
The marketing will come naturally by the people spreading the knowledge. No need to be like solana or algorand that pay for ads. Ergo is different and it will blow everyone away

If you are even a little versed into the ADA verse, you know there is no such thing as a monopoly. No maximalism in the space. Ergo will offer way more than just oracles to all of the networks out there. Don't be affraid to dip your toes into the ERGO life :)
Ergo is it's own blockchain with many use cases, oracle is just one of it. Cardano is an open ecosystem, it should have many oracles (each with their own speciality), not just one.
@@janellc900 I looked it up and it said KuCoin is not licensed in the US. So they can't do anything for your account if stuff happens. And the gov can freeze your account also. At least that is what I read on it as a US citizen
Thanks for the video, you forgot to talk about their stablecoin, of which the reserve system design is pretty interesting, and will be similar as the cardano one as they were co-developped, as well as the mixer which, as i understand it, can render every coin private. ANYBODY IN THE US.... What exchange are you buying ERG from? Really want to get in before $20 (shit, I want to buy NOW), but am having a hard time finding a reputable exchange that allows people in the USA to make an account/buy anything. ETH’s income been stable since 1559. ERG plummeted since I started mining in May. Went from almost six a day to slightly over two, that’s how hot the network has become/difficulty has risen. Best get in there while you can still mine a decent amount a day/week/month, even though ETH brings in more $. A little spec mining never hurt anybody.
@@momostube9625 The market cap is the amount of money invested in that project/coin. Basically the more people that buy the coin, the more the value goes up. If coin already has 838 billion dollars invested in it, like bitcoin, a lot of people already know about it and there's not as much room to grow as a coin that only has 500 million like Erg. So basically the smaller the market cap, the lesser known the project is, so the earlier you are on getting it... but that just means potential. If its a small market cap it also means it has a long way to go to gain enough popularity to stick, so it may just go to zero at some point. Basically don't look at the price of the coin, look at the market cap to understand how much room it has to grow... also there's a lot more to tokenomics than that, but that's a good starting point.
Just go through the following insights and think why Shiba inu is branded as a quote "Dogecoin killer". SHIBA is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. 50% of this supply was sent to Ethereum founder "Vitalik Buterin's cold wallet by Shiba inu founder. Why Shiba inu's founder met Ethereum founder Mr. Vitalik buterin in Japan in 2019. Regardless of who Ryoshi(Shiba inu founder) is it's clear that he has close connections to some important people's in Crypto and this means that he's not just some anonymous developer who came out of nowhere. KuCoin or Coinex! By the time it's listed on Binance/Coinbase the price will probably be several hundred dollars based off the rising market cap and tokenomics. It inconvenient but probably well worth it to set up an account to get in early. Especially if it gets in the Top 25 coins which could mean 1500$ per coin..

Appreciate the video. ERGO is pretty close to an ATH right now. You said it's like buying ADA at $.05, which recently topped $3, as you know i'm sure. So you thinkg ERGO will hit $928 (which is 60x it's current price)
it probably won't hit that this cycle, maybe a couple hundred but the thing is ERGO is under 1bil market cap, its growth will be exponential over the next 4 years and in 12 years it will be 40k/ERG
If it does a 10x it would cost around 200 dol with a 5 bi market cap. If you take in consideration just the dex, a 5 bi market cap dex in cardano is def a conservative prediction.
Am I the only one who sees the risks presented as bullish catalyst ? By the title of this video, I had a strong feeling it was going to be ERGO. Ergo starting to get the appropriate attention as we shifting to the blockchain 3.0 era with almost zero marketing from their side (which is the only minus I could have found)
PoW is still very popular as it has a lower entry point either from a capital (hardware, staked amount) or social (vs. stake pooling) for investors, for instance with a few hundred dollars a potential investor could participate in the ecosystem and start earning rewards vs. PoS which has a much high entry point for rewards. also worth noting that investors love talking about (pumping) their investments so I think this was a good initial move for ergo (also a huge fan from a technical standpoint). oh almost forgot, dodge is mined, litecoin is mined there are still many PoW mined coins out there that are quite popular (as empirical evidence)

Given the Chainlink partnership announcement with ADA, has your outlook on Ergo changed? It doesn't seem like ERG will be the primary Oracle for ADA.
If you are even a little versed into the ADA verse, you know there is no such thing as a monopoly. No maximalism in the space. Ergo will offer way more than just oracles to all of the networks out there. Don't be affraid to dip your toes into the ERGO life :)
Ergo is it's own blockchain with many use cases, oracle is just one of it. Cardano is an open ecosystem, it should have many oracles (each with their own speciality), not just one.

People are saying KuCoin. And apparently now KuCoin is set up to take fiat but to do that need to go through the KyC stuff.
@@janellc900 I looked it up and it said KuCoin is not licensed in the US. So they can't do anything for your account if stuff happens. And the gov can freeze your account also.

Thanks for the video, you forgot to talk about their stablecoin, of which the reserve system design is pretty interesting, and will be similar as the cardano one as they were co-developped, as well as the mixer which, as i understand it, can render every coin private.

What I like about is that Ergo dev is fair. They launch this coin and alloted only 4.4 percent on their side. Other coin have huge marketcap because dev already alloted half percent coin on their side. You should keep in mind on that. 4.4 percent only is on ergo dev.

I just moved one of my Mining rigs from Eth to Erg. I know It's probably a bad move but I got plenty of hashing power on Eth. so I guess ill be okay!
ETH’s income been stable since 1559. ERG plummeted since I started mining in May.
Went from almost six a day to slightly over two, that’s how hot the network has become/difficulty has risen.
Best get in there while you can still mine a decent amount a day/week/month, even though ETH brings in more $.
A little spec mining never hurt anybody.

@@momostube9625 The market cap is the amount of money invested in that project/coin. Basically the more people that buy the coin, the more the value goes up. If coin already has 838 billion dollars invested in it, like bitcoin, a lot of people already know about it and there's not as much room to grow as a coin that only has 500 million like Erg. So basically the smaller the market cap, the lesser known the project is, so the earlier you are on getting it... but that just means potential. If its a small market cap it also means it has a long way to go to gain enough popularity to stick, so it may just go to zero at some point.
Basically don't look at the price of the coin, look at the market cap to understand how much room it has to grow... also there's a lot more to tokenomics than that, but that's a good starting point.

KuCoin or Coinex! By the time it's listed on Binance/Coinbase the price will probably be several hundred dollars based off the rising market cap and tokenomics. It inconvenient but probably well worth it to set up an account to get in early. Especially if it gets in the Top 25 coins which could mean 1500$ per coin..

it probably won't hit that this cycle, maybe a couple hundred but the thing is ERGO is under 1bil market cap, its growth will be exponential over the next 4 years and in 12 years it will be 40k/ERG
If it does a 10x it would cost around 200 dol with a 5 bi market cap. If you take in consideration just the dex, a 5 bi market cap dex in cardano is def a conservative prediction.

PoW is still very popular as it has a lower entry point either from a capital (hardware, staked amount) or social (vs. stake pooling) for investors, for instance with a few hundred dollars a potential investor could participate in the ecosystem and start earning rewards vs. PoS which has a much high entry point for rewards. also worth noting that investors love talking about (pumping) their investments so I think this was a good initial move for ergo (also a huge fan from a technical standpoint). oh almost forgot, dodge is mined, litecoin is mined there are still many PoW mined coins out there that are quite popular (as empirical evidence)
