Anybody else feel truly sorry for 179? She not only failed to protect us, but she also failed to stop whatever caused her brother “the sun” to become such a horrific and destructive monster...and even met her end by its hands
She also said that sauel acted differently just before he went off makes me wonder if another entity caused like maybe the entity in 5000 story latched on to it and took over the sun
@@AxxLAfriku yeah but Tell me this Axxl Is There a reason? You know life is more than Something to Brag about It's something to experience So Here's what i want you to do try To make others happy Help people Out
Not really? It would take a long ass while for the light of the sun to travel even over all our galaxy, and by the time it reaches the next galaxy over the sun would most likely be dead or dying. The universe is safe and most likely outside of about 4 systems of ours it's still safe
Unless the light is trapped by a black hole or the atmosphere is too dense for the light to reach inside or under water creatures that live so deep that the light never reaches not everything is fucked ok but majority is.
This has to be the scariest SCP. You can lock up 049, avoid looking at 096, immerse 682 in acid, but there's nothing you can do about this. Just skulk in the shadows and hope none of those things find you.
This is what makes When Day Breaks the best 001, this near-limitless potential to tie in other SCPs. The Broken God 001 did a good job of that, but this concept is just on another level entirely. No-one and nothing is safe, not even the benevolent guardians like 179.
I can understand why tie in’s like this among other details makes When Day Breaks one of the most popular 001 Proposals. But I can definitely agree that this is possibly the deadliest and scariest 001 to date!
While it is definitely an amazing proposal, I personally prefer the factory. When you think about it, SCP 001 is the designation for the FIRST SCP. The one the foundation came to exist because of. So having the sun as an SCP, while creative as hell, doesn't really give any backstory to the foundation. Unlike "The prototype" and "The factory", which are both brilliant in their own ways too. But I still love WDB, and it deserves all the love and support it gets.
This really conveys the fear of this event, just imagine being out on a sunny day one moment and you look around and then down at your own hand and you see yourself melting
Imagine being the 05. You were just notified the sun is now a threat to humanity. You are waiting to receive word from the observation post while looking at all security cams and systems to ensure they are prepared for what might happen. And just then, you see one of the agents outside melt.
The whole "every world that can see him will see his light and feel his rage" is a very interesting idea, the fact that it could corrupt presumably alien worlds just be barely being visible.
But SCP-001 can only turn you by physical contact of light rays; I imagine it depends on how far our suns light can travel up to? But alien astronomers would probably realise that something is wrong; the lookout is gone and she last pointed to our Sun. They’ll at least be more prepared than we were.
@@thecircleoft.e.d2121 depending on the distance, they could have decades to several milleniums to prepare. Time to build Dyson Spheres around planets instead of suns.
@@LaneyTheOne it might be hard to kill it, i would imagine that it would use solar winds or flares to intercept any attack, just like how it killed its sister

@@Avicerox he’s the one that came up with the theory of relativity, particularly how light behaves, ie The distance it travels in a year (light year), how gravity bends light and time and so on. He’d immediately understand that so long as the sun kept doing this, it was be an ever spreading, ever thickening wave going out in all directions. In 4.3 years The first extra solar system would be hit with our stars light and any life would melt, 10,000 years later the whole Milky Way galaxy. What’s more even if you can stop the sun, you can’t stop the already sent sunlight, which would continue to spread until it can’t... and we can see the light of other galaxies, and they can see ours.
No, not really. Just our solar system that's for sure, but other planets trilion light years away from our sun, are either safe, or their demise is coming veeery slowly.
nah that would be impossible, his light would soon turn red shifted and become the background radiation not to mention the sun wont last another one trillion years and the universe would still be kickin and livin
"I have failed the others, and I have failed you, and I have failed our home. I'm sorry." This part honestly made me tear up. I don't know why, but it did. Beautiful piece!
Reminds me of some stories that I've heard of. Long story short, the caring sibling got corrupted and attacked and killed the other. They then either became the bad guy or ran away in fear and regret.
"It will corrupt all life. And not just here but every world." I never thought about this but do you mean to tell me that a far away planet , for which our sun is a star , will also be affected? Are we gonna have a huge pile of space meat coming towards earth now? This SCP was horrifying enough without that thought already , god damn.
I don't wanna get scientific but it depends on how far it is from other worlds. For example if a planet is 4 million light years away from the sun you most likely will be alright since the light will need 4 million years to change
@@erm4ck448 My thought process was, it seemed nearly instantaneous that the light just shifted and started that melting jazz. It didn't take 8 minutes to affect the Earth after the warning was sent out, it was just a few seconds. Which leads me to believe, it's "New Light" is either faster, or all of its currently existing light is shifted. Which means, any galaxy within 4.8 Billion Light Years of our sun would be instantly affected, it just needs to be visible. That is unless, a Black Hole consumes the light or something bigger overpowers the light. Erasing it from existence would kill us, but save everyone else if we assume all the light would also be erased along with the Sun. Basically, no matter how weak the light you can see, if you can see it, you will change.
you know what would be REALLY cool? if this is what the machine in Jupiter's red spot is coming for. It wouldn't be canon, but it would mean at least a somewhat happy ending
Like I’ve heard, the sun turned because the aliens on the Destroyer did some Bio weapon mess up, and they tried to fix their mistake but ended up on Jupiter
@@Fred-xy9ch but what if the threat it posed was for it to destroy the sun? That would have devastating effects on earth, and if she doesnt understand WHY the sun will be blown up, it would still make sense
I have the theory that the Aliens creators of the destroyers knew about the scp 001 apocalypse, because considering the technology they have on the destroyer, it would make sense they could predict the future by some kind of Technology also Because there's no fucking way they would destroy a star on the other side of the galaxy, and they actually wanted to help us in some kind of way, they sent the Jupiter Red spot destroyer. Because they know they're going to be detected by the SCP when they get there, they purposely crash into Jupiter to not get any disturbance and purposefully sent codes to the craft as a ruse for the humans to cover up their true intentions, that is the craft was programmed to wait for the day break apocalypse and just chill on Jupiter for a while And once it started and the sun to melt all living beings on the planet the craft went on to glass the entire world squeaky clean of the monsters, while the survivors were still underground so that when someday when the sun is cooled down and humans started to come out not a trace of SCP-001 was in the surface, the machine that they thought were trying to end all life on Earth actually helps them all and already goes back to the Aliens that sent it
@@beezmanit2683 wouldn't people from there turn into goo way more slowly? Since it takes so long to reach them and the amount of sunlight that reaches them is very low
@@arthurthekyogre9155 Would it even affect them like think about it first of all it is a loong ways away so the square cube law would probably stop 001 from affecting aliens and second of all the aliens have probably evolved diffrently from us so there biology might be so far removed from ours that it might not even effect them
@@ralphchandler1049 But 179 says that her "brother's light corrupts all that it touches, not on just here but on every world". This leads me to believe that any kind of sapient creature is turning into a goop monster. But is the same thing happening to plants? Like are there goop monsters that used to be trees? If not, does that mean plant-like aliens are immune to this somehow?
I've just realised - this entire series is basically The Thing, but powered by the sun rather than contact. Their primary hope is to outlast the event and hope that the flesh that remains, dies when or if the sun reverts. Although, I'd have thought that they ought to be getting some of their reality benders busy. Personally, I'd be putting SCP 682 and their other troublesome SCPsout in the sun to see if they could rid the planet of them, although a 682 version of the flesh could be even more terrifying. And I wonder what happens to the flesh that hates if the sun hits it?
If I remember right anomalies that are touched by the light loose their anomalous abilities, likewise if they're organic they also turn into 001 instances the melted flesh things. Victims of the flesh that hate would still be flesh soup monster but under 001 command if exposed, not the virus. They would be opposing each other. 682 would probably be too risky to let loose as victims of 001 sometimes use their memories to entice and entrap others so if 682 were to be exposed and melt, he would be even more dangerous. 682 has a history of surviving A LOT of shit. Even bending reality as it were to not die. So who knows?
001 - None Of Them Are Fake And None Are Real, They Are all Alternate Realitys, in some It Is A Strange Hill That Created Scps, Or A Simple file That Generates Scps, So all 001 Proposals Are True, Except for the 1 true one that all the other ones are supposd to trick you from finding it out.
I hope the scp 001 stories just end because scp 343 just decided to yell “enough” and the sun just collapses then the story just ends with him sitting in his chair knowing that he turned time back and stopped the daybreak. While the investigators are wondering what seems to be troubling him but he never tells them
Oh god so that means, even if you were in another solar system, you'd still be affected by SCP-001 once it's light reached you. That shows how hopeless it all was.
That truly IS a terrifying thought. That even if you try fleeing to another planet far away from the sun, it’s possible you’ll fall victim to its light
@@nnzzj If it's just the warmth of the Sun's light, yes. However, if it's just the Sun's light, then the area of effect would be much larger. We do know from previous stories that it's light in the visible spectrum that causes the changes to occur. This means there is a point at which the primary source of transformation would stop. If SCP-001 works like a virus, and can infect other stars...then Alpha Centauri has just over 4 years to prepare itself.
11:06 "It will corrupt all life. and not just here but every world" I used to think that the when day breaks proposal would only effect earth and anything organic in the solar system but it seems this a universe wide apocalipse
People are forgetting that the universe expands at the speed of light so the sun's light would never be able to reach the entire universe considering only a fraction of it is even visible to us
I just love how the when day breaks series just keeps on going... I remember when I saw the first episode of this series that got me into the SCP stuff
Honestly? Despite how heartbreaking her end is in this universe, she probably got one of the best end, she died instantly and probably painlessly considering how fast that was, far better than the blob on earth
Wow! I really like this! SCP-179 tried to warn us!! I like how this story gives us an extra element of suspense and horror as the people at that site were the only ones in the world to have received even the slightest warning of the SCP-001 event.
So if "Every World that can see him, will see his light and feel his rage" that basically means, the entire galaxy is doomed? Holy crap, if that's true, then yep, we're doomed. Can't even run away to another star system
I mean technically you could, If its carried by the sunlight it means it moves at the speed of light, next nearest start is four years away at that speed. If you're on the edge of the galaxy its about 125,000 years away. Another galaxy is about a million lightyears away. Technically it would spread to the particle horizon of the observable universe in about 96 billion years. There have been SCP entries where the foundation has technology that can outpace the speed of light by huge orders of magnitude. Sooo its possible to outrun it and get somewhere to buy yourself all the time you would need to figure out a solution, it would be too late for the rest of humanity but I figure with enough time the foundation could figure out a way to cause an artificial supernova in our sun or causing it to collapse into something like a blackhole that would prevent anything from leaving it by the event horizon.
In my opinion, (in order for this to be a little “realistic”) the “Evil Sun Rays” affect only near and around our solar system Or who knows, maybe the ENTIRE galaxy is fucked ;-;
Tersidre True that, maybe blowing up the Sun could stop it from killing all life in the galaxy. That is something the Foundation would do too, with moving out to a far away solar system with the ship that they used to find "The Truth" (SCP-001 tale with "The Architect" SCP (forgot the number :/ ))
@@ArturerroPL If we blow up the sun... - We lose the planets’s rotations around the sun which means everything (planets and asteroids) can collide with each other - No heat and no light. - What about that SCP that can eat shadows? - *NECK SNAP* - No light means no photosynthesis which means no oxygen
Dude remember the last order given to scp 2399? "Target is out of range, proceed to planet 3, cease repairs". What if the target was never us... It was always Sol
It took me around a year to realise how horrifying it would be to have everyone you know tell you to come outside, and even then its scarier that you dont die. Anyway, everyone reading this come outside, its beutiful
This once again helps narrow possible "motivations" or reasons behind WDB yet further. I love this unravelling, expanded universe storyline that's been going here, and I'm VERY interested in seeing the supposed 'last resort the o5 are cooking up'. So, open discussion on Sol. It's made very clear that it is a 'he', and was seemingly holding an argument with The Lookout. Unless she had just suddenly and inexplicably gone absolutely insane, then this would logically imply a sapient (or somehow higher) level mind centered in Sol. The change was also abruptly sudden, as Lookout seemingly was caught completely off guard by Sol's change. Sol even went so far as to directly lash out at her with what I assume was a massive solar flare. So, my question is then much easier. It's a very easy assumption now that Sol, or whatever may have corrupted him, is in near-direct hive-minded control of the flesh. This was a likely guess, but it's made pretty blindingly obvious now, barring some sudden revelation. So the question is much easier now. What happened to Sol? Did he suffer some kind of total mental breakdown? Did he have a cosmic-scale Anakin moment and start using his powers malevolently from a gradual and unexpected turn to darkness? Did something take control over him? If so, what would it be? And again, if so, why? If I had to make two personal guesses, I would go with either the Anakin Moment theory, in which Sol had changed in a way too slow for his sister, The Lookout, to have noticed until it was too late, and angered by their argument, he lashed out against her, or, I would turn my gaze to a much more hateful star, out there in the distance, firing off its threatening messages and moving ever closer to Earth. Is it possible that the Hateful Star has either corrupted Sol in some way, be it mentally or otherwise? Or has it perhaps taken control of Sol directly? Regardless I again would love this series to continue. This is getting very interesting.
i don't know if this is canon or not but in "heart and sol" it is implied that the reason sol did this is because he wanted to protect the creations of his beloved earth from an entity that was jealous of him cause the creatures were able to admire sol yet the creatures that the entity was caring for was not. so in general, he did it all out of love. maybe that was why his sister the watcher can't refute her brother. this is just my understanding of the work tho.
If You Think About It The UNGOC Or TSH If They Where Supervised By Say The GOC Are The Best Defenders Of Humanity The GOC Doesnt Give A Fuck What Your Intentions Are As A TE They Will Fuck You Up The Only Thing That They Cant Fuck The Scarlet KIng And Most Likely The Sun Really Thats It The GOC Would Fuck Everybody The TSH If They Were Supervised Under The GOC Or SCPF Kept to A Semi Independent State Of Authority Then Research Of Thaumiels And Other Shit Could Be Useful But In A Day Breaks Scenario We Going To Need The UNGOC
They can escape. They can migrate to galaxies away to evade the Sun's light and destroy the Sun as a safety measure. But what maybe even after the Sun is destroyed, it can still cause damage because technically matter cannot be destroyed.
@@mikadosannoji553 from how dr bright thinks of his immortality, he might be happy to finally die, but I would say with brights luck, option one seems about right. That actually COULD be a possible solution. But they would need to warn 179 about what will happen to her brother and she would have to try to find a way to stop it from happening
This may sound stupid but I want to know what might be happening with the “red spot” or scp-2399 mainly because the race that built it must be able to see the sun/light so they may be effected and they are advance enough to make a doomsday weapon? Just curious and if I’m wrong about anything then oof
I’d believe they’d send a new repeating message to their planet destroying weapon, if any of those extraterrestrials sending the messages to SCP-2399 managed to survive the initial daybreak event- or at least caught on to what was happening before the sunlight reached their planet.
@@kubelek37 If we consider the daybreak scenario, 2399 would already of had been in Jupiter’s red spot waiting for a command. If the aliens, since they would most possibly be affected too, were controlling the weapon and realised what was going on Earth (or perhaps their own planet/station wherever they are, if waited long enough) then they would most definitely try to do something about our sun. They seem capable enough to build a planet destroyer, I’m sure they would find out about the sun causing all this newfound destruction.
I think it's the Sarkic God it has infected and corrupted The Sun making this happen plus I don't think his sister is gone just dormant. I think The Broken God will arrive and set things right and have a confrontation with The Infected Sun. Respect and keep up the epic work.
I had heard of when day breaks before I heard of 179, after learning about her it hit me about a day after. As i lay in my bed the thought wouldn't leave my mind "what happens to 179 when her brother breaks" . I played with the idea in my head, trying to find an explanation. When I finally found this video it resolved it perfectly, even though I cried it was one of my favorite scp stories I've ever had the privilege of listening to.
A theory This is related to the new Hateful Star SCP, where the sun has many alchemic and magical sigils in it, that protects a sort of bubble around our solar system, keeping what can only be described as Eldritch horrors, outside if this bubble, if any of them enter, the sun will send a beam that will incinerate them, the Foundation attempted to sent a ship outside of this bubble, it succeeded, but opened a way for one of the horror to enter, it was a strong one, that the sun used alot of strength to kill, leading to Mars red spot, now to my theory, these Eldritch beings, somehow, entered the sun, or corrupted it atleast, turning it in When Day Breaks
I have my own future idea story for this one. "When Day Breaks: The Death of Sauel: The Sun" 5 years ago, the sun turned us into fleshy creatures. It was a nightmarish time. We cannot forget what happened to SCP-179, when she turned into dust particles. It was unexpected by the foundation, none of us were prepared for such an event. 5 years later, here we are now, still hiding in darkness. A sun is out there, waiting to melt us when we step out to see it's light. No thanks though, I'd much rather be in here than out there on a sunny day. 3 days later: I checked our cameras once again, waiting to see if the sun is about to approach, and ready to warn the others to come into hiding when I see it. Strangely though, there was no sun. I asked the foundation personnel, the remaining ones with workable sky cameras that is, to see where the sun is. Everywhere, every camera, there was no sun. It's as if it just blinked out of existence. One day, we constantly see the sun and we get ready to hide. Now the next day, the sun isn't here anymore. I would be happier, knowing that we're now safe from what was supposed to be a permanent threat to humanity. But my satisfaction changed once earth started to become colder. 2 days later: The world started getting colder. The fleshy creatures were starting to die off, now that they have no sunlight. This was an unusual turn of events, but at least we're safe from those hideous things now. I found out that one of our cameras in an uninhabited foundation facility caught a recording of what happened to our sun. I was sent there to try and retrieve what data I could, and avoid any monsters lurking about, especially the SCP anomalies. I managed to get a hold of the footage, I was thankful to know the equipment was still intact. 2 hours later: After careful observation, we could not believe our eyes. Another being flew straight towards the sun, glowed a dark purple as if being engulfed by the energy, and shot a beam at the sun. That was a terrifying event, an event we could not ignore. This 'thing' destroyed the sun, but why? Shortly after, we saw it land in an area not too far from where we were. I went to investigate, to find out why this thing did that. Members of the 05 council became aware of my plan, and warned me about approaching that thing. If it can blow up our sun, imagine what it can do to me. Nevertheless, it's time we need answers, so I went against 05's advice. I also took an audio and video recorder to capture live feed of the upcoming events. 1 hour later: I found the entity, but it didn't look too happy. The entity is crying while holding something. It was a bag, but of what? Then it saw me, and I see it's face. That's when I immediately recognized it as an SCP, "the angel of death." It's been a long while since we kept track of SCP anomalies, so instead we were more worried about the sun. 05 council members looked into their documents, and immediately had me on the line. They told me to be extremely careful, as this SCP is also an Apollyon class. But I didn't freak out, I've got nothing to lose anyway now that the world went straight to hell. But when I saw his face, he looked like he had been crying for days. Something must've happened that drove him this way, something not pleasant. He looked away and spoke in a language I couldn't understand. Luckily I had someone who could understand and translate it at the facility. Then he looked at me, spoke to me, and gave me his bag. Once I got back to my facility and got my translation, I understood all that happened. Translation: "Sauel, you killed your own sister. How could you do that? I loved her so much. She was my lover, and now you killed her and took her away. Now you're no longer around, and won't be causing any more future trouble. I destroyed you, so that you too will understand pain and sadness as I. I didn't care about what you did to the inhabitants of this planet, but you crossed the line when you scorched Ariel: Your sister, my lover. I could not see her in the stars anymore when I came back. Instead, she was dust. Her voice cried out to me, and I learned who the culprit was. It was you." (He looks at me) "Ariel was no mere SCP as you referred, nor a mere star entity as some referred to her. She was once an angel, as I am. She became a watcher of the stars. Sauel, her brother, became a star himself, the sun of this once vast and beautiful world. I chose to remain the way I am. I'll always look up and see her smiling at me, and I smiled back. This changed in time, she was busy pointing at things that threaten your existence. I didn't care much for humans, but she did and I respected her choice. So I decided not to get involved but to obscure my presence while your foundation protected humanity with her help. I'll miss her. She is long gone now. But I'll always love her. But for Sauel, it was unexpected of him. For the first time, he's acted out of character. He was never this violent and angry before. He was always respected and admired. At one time, he and I were best friends. Now we are bitter enemies. I did not wish for this, but the death of his sister changed all that I had thought about him. He is gone now." (He gives his bag to me) "This is all that’s left of her. Please, find her a resting place." (End of Translation) 18 Hours Later: Normally I would think I'm made of stone, but I cried at that. Now I wish I knew I could translate everything he said to himself and to me, before he disappeared. As for the bag, that's one priority I have. I cautiously opened the bag and discovered that what was in his bag he gave me, had dust particles. I noticed some of these dust particles glowed a familiar color, and then I recall that these weren't mere dust particles; It's SCP-179, or what's left of her. When he asked us to find her a resting place, it's something we're gonna do. She helped us out, it's only fair that we help her now. I'll never forget the night I found out his true identity, and the identity of the Sun and SCP-179. We learned that Sauel was the name of an angel that became our Sun, and Ariel was the name of the star watcher, or SCP-179. I got the answer to my one question before he left and before I headed back to my facility. We used to call him SCP-XXXX, now we know who he truly is. "What is your name?" I asked. He gave just one word: "Lucifer."
There’s no shortage of feelings of hopelessness to be found with When Day Breaks stories, but it’s one hell of a gut punch when one of the most valuable Thaumiel-class SCPs is lost. Such a sad ending. Remember the Lookout. Remember her warning: Hide. R.I.P SCP-179.
When Day Breaks (SCP-001) will always be my all time favorite apocalyptic story and SCP. It's a genuinely hopeless scenario where there are no solutions and survival futile. It's tragic and yet so beautifully well done that I honestly want a story on the warped perspective of the creatures created by SCP-001. Every story spawning from this always makes me feel something and I can never have enough.
Literal gods on earth when humans want to know what is going on: “HOW DARE YOU” The gods when the sun is messing everything up: “ understandable, have a nice day”
5:15 That scene of her pointing at the sun shook me to my core. "The entire site gasped when she raised an arm and pointed at the Sun" I'm gasping too. That is genuinely so terrifying to experience.
Cosmic horror? Nope. Cosmic heartbreak. This one hit me hard in the gut and the heart. Am I the only one who wishes they could have given her a hug before vaporizing along with her?
179's last message, it really makes you think. Surprisingly, the Foundation doesn't bring up aliens all that much. Not in the Star Trek/Star Wars sense anyway. But the suns light will be visible from countless light years away. At least we know what's happening. But imagine being out star gazing one night, and then suddenly people start melting. And no one knows why.

@@Fred-xy9ch but what if the threat it posed was for it to destroy the sun? That would have devastating effects on earth, and if she doesnt understand WHY the sun will be blown up, it would still make sense
I have the theory that the Aliens creators of the destroyers knew about the scp 001 apocalypse, because considering the technology they have on the destroyer, it would make sense they could predict the future by some kind of Technology also
Because there's no fucking way they would destroy a star on the other side of the galaxy, and they actually wanted to help us in some kind of way, they sent the Jupiter Red spot destroyer.
Because they know they're going to be detected by the SCP when they get there, they purposely crash into Jupiter to not get any disturbance and purposefully sent codes to the craft as a ruse for the humans to cover up their true intentions, that is the craft was programmed to wait for the day break apocalypse and just chill on Jupiter for a while
And once it started and the sun to melt all living beings on the planet the craft went on to glass the entire world squeaky clean of the monsters, while the survivors were still underground so that when someday when the sun is cooled down and humans started to come out not a trace of SCP-001 was in the surface, the machine that they thought were trying to end all life on Earth actually helps them all and already goes back to the Aliens that sent it

Personally, I'd be putting SCP 682 and their other troublesome SCPsout in the sun to see if they could rid the planet of them, although a 682 version of the flesh could be even more terrifying. And I wonder what happens to the flesh that hates if the sun hits it?
Good question
fleshier flesh
scp 682 would just change atomic structure so it will be no longer organic insted stone, metal, ect.
SCP 682 will adapt maybe

Victims of the flesh that hate would still be flesh soup monster but under 001 command if exposed, not the virus. They would be opposing each other. 682 would probably be too risky to let loose as victims of 001 sometimes use their memories to entice and entrap others so if 682 were to be exposed and melt, he would be even more dangerous. 682 has a history of surviving A LOT of shit.

SCP-179: you're not yourself when you're hungry

THAT'S IT!!! WE GATHER UP ALL THE NOKIA'S ON EARTH AND THROW THEM AT THE SUN
This may sound stupid but I want to know what might be happening with the “red spot” or scp-2399 mainly because the race that built it must be able to see the sun/light so they may be effected and they are advance enough to make a doomsday weapon? Just curious and if I’m wrong about anything then oof
I'm just glad they get screwed over again by another celestial body in our solar system. It's kinda funny that this keeps happening to them.
I’d believe they’d send a new repeating message to their planet destroying weapon, if any of those extraterrestrials sending the messages to SCP-2399 managed to survive the initial daybreak event- or at least caught on to what was happening before the sunlight reached their planet.
@@cheekydamnman516 to be far they did catch on to either the anomalies/SCP’s or humanities existence.
@@kubelek37 they mentioned it in the begining of the video 2399 is no longer a threat
Bro this is so sad because 179 probably the Earth's first Emergency alert. Seeing her die just sad
Yes. Very very very sad.
I think it's the Sarkic God it has infected and corrupted The Sun making this happen plus I don't think his sister is gone just dormant.
I think The Broken God will arrive and set things right and have a confrontation with The Infected Sun.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
Wait... so are you theorizing that 179 could be like brought back? If so, then I like that idea.

“Where did SCP-179 go?”
The Sun: Gone, reduced to atoms…
I knew that there would eventually be an episode with 179.
It fit far too perfectly.
Its such a good tale yet super sad. As I absolutely love SCP-179, I cried when she died, and when I heard her final words.

Scp 179 death is just sad, she saved humanity few times but her brother broke and killed her and humanity died

I'm still waiting for someone to post a report of what happend to SCP-093 when the day broke.
I was looking for an new episode of When Day Breaks the other day and now there really is !
I feel like there should be WDB tales hub now
Wow. Just wow. These SCP: 001 stories just get better and better. I can't wait for the next one.

Im always open to more day breaks stories they're so intriguing for some reason
I have actually always wondered what happened to SCP-179 during SCP-001 event. I am happy this exists.
Good job to whoever wrote this 👏
179's death is really depressing, shes thinking she failed everyone but she did all she could
I had heard of when day breaks before I heard of 179, after learning about her it hit me about a day after.
A theory
This is related to the new Hateful Star SCP, where the sun has many alchemic and magical sigils in it, that protects a sort of bubble around our solar system, keeping what can only be described as Eldritch horrors, outside if this bubble, if any of them enter, the sun will send a beam that will incinerate them, the Foundation attempted to sent a ship outside of this bubble, it succeeded, but opened a way for one of the horror to enter, it was a strong one, that the sun used alot of strength to kill, leading to Mars red spot, now to my theory, these Eldritch beings, somehow, entered the sun, or corrupted it atleast, turning it in When Day Breaks
"Hey Sis! Watch me throw the entirety of humanity into literal extinction and make the holocaust look like a tea-party!" - The Sun, May 2021
I have my own future idea story for this one.
"When Day Breaks: The Death of Sauel: The Sun"
5 years ago, the sun turned us into fleshy creatures.
Translation:
"Sauel, you killed your own sister. It was you."
(He looks at me)
"Ariel was no mere SCP as you referred, nor a mere star entity as some referred to her. He is gone now."
(He gives his bag to me)
"This is all that’s left of her. Please, find her a resting place."
(End of Translation)
18 Hours Later: Normally I would think I'm made of stone, but I cried at that.
He gave just one word:
"Lucifer."
Fuck.
So Dr Clef? Since he is basically attributed as Lucifer. The fallen Angel. You would have to tweak some things about Dr Clef.
@@ayushbhaskar4795 ???

Literal gods on earth when humans want to know what is going on: “HOW DARE YOU”
The gods when the sun is messing everything up: “ understandable, have a nice day”
This was actually fricking amazing.
"Hello Sun You failed Us, them, life itself and most importantly
Her........ Hope your happy Sun"
5:15 That scene of her pointing at the sun shook me to my core.
"The entire site gasped when she raised an arm and pointed at the Sun"
I'm gasping too. That is genuinely so terrifying to experience.
“ Bro I swear if you melt humanity again I will fucking lose it!” “Ha ha laser go brrrrrr” -the sun
Cosmic horror? Nope. Cosmic heartbreak. This one hit me hard in the gut and the heart. Am I the only one who wishes they could have given her a hug before vaporizing along with her?
Technically she didn't fail, they have the means to go back in time and the technology to block the sun or at least filter the rays.
