Dillard University Concert Choir Alumni Concert - Honouring S. Carver Davenport

In 2014, Alumni of the famed Dillard University Concert Choir performed a concert in honour of their esteem director's, Mr. S. Carver Davenport, 40th Anniversary.
The program featured distinguished alumni who have gone on to become national recording and performing artists. Notable alumni, such as: Alfred Waker ('93), Dr. Valerie Jones-Francis ('83), Olanna Goudeau ('04), Tyrone Johnson ('84), Dwayne Lee ('85), Rev. Cynthia Wilson ('82) and more were featured. Other alumni served as musicians and conductors, including: Felicia Hamilton, Timothy David Ray, Dr. Loneka Wilkinson-Batiste, and James Smith - joined by guest accompanist, Dr. Wilfred Dephin.
Mr. Davenport received a B.S. in Music Education (minor in Piano Performance) from the Hampton Institute,and the M.M. in Conducting and Voice from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
