In Question 5 variable B should be =180mm then answer (a) 4871 is correct. (With B=185mm the mass is 4951 g)
I'm also having the same issue. All answer's are close to actual with 0.05% error. I've checked with uploaded part file with each and every feature. Is it system error or can we do something about it. Q5 my answer is coming out to be 4953.43 grams with B=185mm.
@@ankitsatija6647 No the problem its the real value is B=180 mm
Even i got 4951
For those that would like to try the problems ahead of the tutorial, some dimensions are impossible to read. Maybe 1080p upload would be better for next time. Thank you
Also a lot of mistakes, so don't plan to try practice the test ahead of watching the video....this is more of a tutorial video.
How do you configure the dimension to show the letter of global variable??
Questions are not clear. After spending a good amount of time, I figured out that the top fillet radius is 30 mm, while the bottom one is 20 mm. I am talking about the connecting part between the two cylinders which has an extrude value of Y or E (i.e. 50).
Thanks! Took me a while to comprehend haha
I assumed both the radii as 20
Went to the site to download the free test set, but the drawings won't open properly in SolidWorks :/

what's the value for global variable E?
It's the formula that is written under variable Y. Variable Y is not used in the first 2 questions.
@@bartveens5344 so E is Y?
There is a clearer resolution of the dimensions at 4:49. Also, i believe he changed the global variable from "Y" in the question prompt to "E" which is reflected in the dimensions and on his model.
Hi David,
Do you have PDF for these test cases?
I paid to BW Engineering, but did not receive PDF at all. I emailed to them, but there was no response at all.
If you have PDF, could you please send to me a copy? Thanks.
also, not clear from a monitor even after zooming in, what are the fillet sizes used?
4x2x45°

Holy crap, thank you.
Can you give the images of the questions as pdf?
capture the images using snipping tool. Then use png to pdf converter.

There are some problems regarding the question
1. It's E not Y, it took me 10 minutes to find what is E haha.
2. The picture is not clear, its blurry even in 720p (Max).
3. The some parts of the drawing are clearly in a state of over-dimension. Too many dimensions repeated over and over in the pictures.
4. While some part is over-dimensionalized, some parts are under... like the fillet in the neck, you only state the uppermost fillet, while not showing the others... which is kinda annoying.
At least give us proper problems. And you expect 33 dollars for your problems? Cmon.
I know it has been 2 years but their books are literally plagued with errors and lacks of dimensions lol
Good Idea with this exams, but can't f.. see a shit of theese dimentions!
Nice video, can you send the PDF files please

You are evil , you purposely put WRONG Values , like de Y its an E , B in question 4 its =180 , not 185, and also you pixelate some numbers. Lost a lot of time !!!
What a slippery sausage!
