thanks for the video, keep up the great work. I played for years on MO1 and had a full Necro, Elementatlist and Spritualist. All spells were available. The Elementalist was most effective in group fights when either seiging or defending against a seige. It wasnt so effective in short range as say a necro. The comments you made re heat damage are spot on. In Sarducca there were spots where 15 damage per click unless you had some decent heat resistant armor. I had a small town/paliside near Heat Ramp where it could also do decent damage if unprepared. I have a human with similar stats but mana at 203 currently and I too was preping for Elementalism.

Hey man nice vid! I'm quite new to MO, the game is rough around the edges but I'm loving it! Noobquestion: I see you are not using the "normal" spellbook. Do you have it banked or are there different spellbooks in the world other than the book you buy from the npc vendor?
Its called the lexicon its from the fab tower boss its nothing but a cosmetic (for now)

Human only does mounted hybrid well that and mage for big group foot fights but there really aren't any big fights. You might get lucky and some clade change for humans will come along and make them OP.

I want a DRUID build. Tamer/Elementalist with Human build and medium armor
I don't agree that it needs a nerf. The cost and time alone in making the build offset the ease in PVP. Even then it still requires a decent player behind the keyboard. It isn't an "I-WIN" button like people make it sound.
There are fixes that will come... Like no longer being able to cast heals on your mount while on it. And no longer able to wear a tower shield while mounted.
Those two changes will bring it in line.

Grind shouldnt equal power, remove the grind
Cost should equal power, but marginally
Not being able to heal your horse would absolutely decimate the build and make it unplayable
Tower shield nerf is fine and a good call
What should really happen instead is they should stop balancing the damage done to your shield as an avg of your chest and shield because the broken part is when you have a beefy chest and massive shield that avg super well. If it just considered either armor piece when calculating it would be fine all of a sudden.
@@Devildog0491 there are some laws in Mortal Online.
1- you can balance for pvp or pve but not for both.
2- balance between classes i.e. mounted vs mounted, footie vs footie. Not mounted vs footie.
3- gear cost vs grind cost.
Melee characters generally have cheaper grind for their character. This is especially true when compared to a mages cost on build. Ignoring the fact that several schools of magic are locked behind bosses that require melee characters. Yet no melee skill is locked behind a major boss or any boss for that matter.
A footie can grind to max skill in Haven with a few exceptions. And do it for less than 250g. A mage, dex or fat will easily be four times that.
Now if SV removed the grind to make a mage of any school. Ok nerf it. But as it stands right now the only changes that are warranted is either what I suggested or what you suggested. Past that it shouldn't be touched.
@@louhodo5761 none of those are laws, I disagree with most of your thought process. Balance is game wide. Grind shouldnt equal power. The overwhelming amount of powerful spells are in the basic ecu tree for under 62 primary points. Yes a full mage is more expensive, that doesnt mean it should be overpowered. Full spiritism aka portals is locked behind a boss, that isnt used in pvp. Nothing in necro is locked behind a boss. Nothing in ecu is locked behind a boss.
If you balance mounted vs mounted but not vice versa exclusively you trash the game because for any fight to conclude somebody has to get dismounted first. I hope you dont work for SV or have their ear in any capacity your logic is extremely flawed. Sorry.
@@Devildog0491 You cant balance mounted vs Foot. It is like trying to balance a Jet vs an Infantryman. Or a Helicopter vs a Tank. It doesnt work.
Majority of the spells used in ECU are locked behind random mob drops. Again.. nothing footie related are locked behind a random mob drop. Crafting is though.
I am also looking at the spells in their use more than just PVP. Because while PVP is part of the game, vast majority of the time the playerbase is doing PVE... And well portals had a REAL use for a long time. Need I mention all of the exploited bosses using portals?
So how much do you see this build changing since elementals isn't compatible with mounted combat ? dump mounted Margery totally? because now you'd have to basically be a foot fat mage lol so what daggers?
I'm guessing that Carry Weight of 62.52 is coming from trinkets? unless there is something I'm not seeing.
Is there some reason a guy can't just mount at you with EQ to dismount you?
Not as much of a mana king as I thought … he only gets 1 extra mana compared to 62 huergar

Pretty well, I've tweaked some things like I only have 25 points in MM and I use EQ to dismount ppl. Works really well

Ez, get off your mount and cast. I'm dropping mounted skills on this build to unironically run obese fat mage on foot. I've been doing it a lot lately and it is FUN AF. If you know what youre doing and have necro leveled.

@@Devildog0491 Thanks, I watched it. Respect. Would love to see more. I've been playing Obese Oghmir since beta, but it is too slow. Thinking of going Fat. 10 less psyc and int than your build, but 20 more HP and the glades make him tougher.

I don't understand how is Fatmage always called OP and S+ rank pvp. They're too slow, on foot the nearest melle just runs up and stabs you before you can cast a spell and there's no escaping it. If you're on mount the nearest MA just shoots you in the face before you can cast a spell. Like concentration doesn't guarantee 100% spell cast, and if you are getting hit 3-4 times a second its actually guaranteed to fail. Yea you can wear armor and a shield to mitigate damage, but mitigate doesn't mean cancel. You're gonna die to a thousand cuts and still not be able to do anything about it. If you're in a group Yea, maybe you can 'be situationally aware and stay back away from the group and what not' but chances are, that's not gonna be up to you. The enemy knows you are target number 1 and they go at you first. In 1v1 well like I said above. You better be good with a dagger to parry everything, and then you're better off as a real footie and dish out some melee damage because -18% and 10str isn't doing shit.
I've been this build for 10 months and I had to drop the fat and go lean to be able to survive encounters better. Its not great but its better.
What's the difference between PvP and 1v1 ?

Why Combat Maneuvering if its a fat mage?
combat manouver is prereq to armor training
unfortunately Henrik said in the last stream that elementalism will not be usable on mounts. so being a fat mage on foot is quite difficult
I find it extremely fun but yes, its tough
I've done it since the start, you have to predict how the battle will go and position for picks/heals/good escape. Still always important to have a horse backup, just in case. In caverns/dungeons you gotta play the rear.
they just tweaked and made some nice changes to humans. im thinking of trying a obese fat mage today.
The buffs were largely insignificant

Fat mages dont need spell resistance
The mana regen bonus is miniscule

Hello man thanks for your guide. I've a question. What about foot human mage? Is it useful in teamfights? I wanna go in elementalism and be on foot in middle armour (13 kg) and fit weight? Wanna hear your thoughts.
