Not sure, but it looked like he asked the next-door lady for permission to clean it up, leading one to think it's her old garden area. That said, the children now have a cleaner view of their world. TY to the men of Clean up 68 and to the elder neighbor lady for her ok of the project, making the view of her world better too.

Great idea to make a school area neat and safe, for all. Looks like the initial particle-boards were laid down to cut down weeds but ended up making more of a mess over time. Was thinking that some of the trash dumped, people didn't think ahead. In an emergency, would they be wanting to run through broken glass or have children crossing through? You had a lot of safety cleaning you did, before you could use string trimmers to clear weeds and restore property lines. You regained a lot of usable street space and made a walkable area for passers by. That took a lot of courage and persistence to get that much done. It does take removing layers and layers of problems with a place like that. A great benefit to the neighborhood. That was good manners to blow dust off the school when finishing. You couldn't help the dust drift from the wind. Congratulations for your good efforts.

That was a lot of hard work to do what you did. It was amaizing the amount of trash you had to picke up and dig out. Uncovering a wider than car width street was also a dirty job.
