Many years ago when I was returning to LA from Mexico City, the plane had a serious technical problem that forced the pilot to make an emergency stop in La Paz, Baja California. The Airline gave us the choice to stay in a local Hotel until the issue got resolved, or take another plane back to Mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta to continue on to our destination. I opted for the former, took a local tour to Punta Balandra (suggested by a local tour guide), and after 'discovering' the true nature of Baja, I never boarded the plane back to Los Angeles. After living for a few months in La Paz, I discovered Cabo Pulmo, San Jose, and Cabo San Lucas and I got hooked. It would take me over two years, and a severe financial crisis (in Mexico) to force me to leave this amazing place. I will never forget the experience of being tightly connected to nature, as Baja makes you feel the moment you arrive. Thank you so much for bringing those wonderful memories back. Todo el mar de Cortés está ya muy depredado. Se ha saqueado sin límites. Una de las pocas zonas donde aún se puede apreciar la enorme biodiversidad original es Cabo Pulmón que se salvó de convertirse en un mega desarrollo turístico depredador en tiempos de Fox y Calderón. Afortunadamente se impuso la cordura y l visión a largo plazo y hoy es la joya del mar de Cortés. Ojalá su ejemplo sirva para preservar más áreas de esa zona.

Muy muy buen video Leonardo me gusto mucho, soy pasante de biología y nunca ejercí ni trabaje de lo que estudié creo ya se me olvidó casi todo jejeje
Pero eso no quita que soy un apasionado de los documentales de naturaleza o todo lo que tenga que ver con ella y tu video esta buenísimo se me pasó como agua 🚿
He visto por ahí otros videos donde quieren hacer desarrollos a gran escala en el mar de Cortez y bueno también en el pacifico en el litoral del oeste de la península y creo eso sería fatal para los ecosistemas que como en este caso que comentas de Cabo Pulmo ya se recuperó, aunque también hay pequeños desarrollos sustentables pero lo que no me gusta es que la mayoría son de personas extranjeras que compran las tierras y de una u otra manera los pobladores tienen trabajo pero si bien es cierto eso también es cierto que ellos se llevan lo menos

Solo tuve la fortuna de ir de vacaciones a los cabos pero hace muchísimos años, con tu video me facina tía ir a Cabo Pulmo y uno de mis sueños es ir a Guerrero negro ver y si se puede tocar una ballena
