Ok so this is probably a dumb question, but it’s for over clarification to make sure it’s possible to do what I want to- so can you use the app on your phone to program the vfo’s frequency’s on the fly/in the field or does it have to be saved and uploaded everytime? Reason I ask is I’m working on a Manpack project and it would be great to be able to place this with a 30-40w UHF/VHF Amp in a project box, then use bulkhead mounts for an antenna, audio/mic in/out (with connected handset to allow tx/rx remotely, etc using bulkhead ports on top, and then set it up to run off of a military 5590 battery or a large dell LiION battery- being able to program on the fly is what will allow it to be form factored to fit in a backpack and allow higher power usage
Very cool. I love that it can be programmed using an Android app over Bluetooth. I've recently wondered if somebody could make an Android Baofeng programming app that uses the programming cable via an OTG adapter.
You can charge this radio using a mini USB connector. If you have one or more ultra high capacity power banks (10,000 mah and higher) you can charge/operate in an emergency where the power is out, or if you are in the "bush" with no access to electricity.
Well only network radios, I would've liked an android smart phone to do the programming with. iOS is coming next week so will demo that using my iphone:)
Why are the Chinese so expert at making things look cheap, why does it need "SPORT RADIO" emblazoned on, and surely a more subtle colour might look a bit nicer, looks like a boy racer's ford focus
Nice little unit. The Nagoya style antenna is a nice touch. I particularly liked the VU meter, not something you see on a normal low end handheld.
Nice to see you back.

Thanks for this! Looks pretty good. Any idea where one can buy this one? Doesn't look like you can buy direct from the SenHaix website.
Mine are test units, the radio is launching soon so final details will be released
I just placed an order with them. Just need to send an email.
These look quite good, nice audio on receive, would be nice to hear how they sound at the other end, orange radios are cool. cheers m8
Coming in part 2 mate 😎 cheers
Bluetooth programming sounds nifty! Are you going to do a test of how waterproof it is Lewis?
Yes I will be doing test on both of the above :)
The Bluetooth is for programming only or can it also be used for audio out to a Bluetooth speaker?
Programming only

i want to buy do you think it is a good radio ?
Throw two on your dash and watch drivers pull over and get the hell out your way! Lol
How about the battery life? Hoping it shows up in the US soon
Can you recommend an after market antenna to improve 8800 range?
Can you review the Hytera TC-320
Great video Lewis, Where can one purchase these ? Dafydd M6ULU - Good old Salford!
Does anyone know the name of the programming app to download?
I bought one and tried, the overall feeling is good, but the RF frontend is easily overloaded by connecting to a external antenna.
Would you choose this over the Jianpai 8800??
Just found your site,, do you know if any videos that show how to use a dingel and how to set them up,, any info is app, Thxs gb
There were so many questions that never answered like frequency range, where they can buy one and how much, geez!
Acoording the manufacturer its $95 USD
It can only be bought from China - AliExpress.
Got mine a few days ago, can you give the link of the programming software for this? It's not included in my package.. :(
Would you recommend this for emergencies?

Do these use SMA-F antennas?
Looks identical to the GS 5B radio from Radioddity.
Yup it looks identical
Can have a copy of the programming software ? thanks mate !
I want this, but I'll wait until the price drops. Programming from Android or IOS should be standard. Not everyone has a PC these days.
Nice video. Looks quite a cutie. Any idea about the price? 73. Frankie.
73 de M6VMO I've got the same question
Mine are test units, the radio is launching soon so final details will be released
In the US they are marketed by Radioddity, and sell for $99.00 each.
This looks cool. Any idea what the street price is going to be?
Hi Kevin not sure mate
Nice review 73 M3X0A
Hi folks, does anybody know if the 8600 is the newer model or is it the other way round please?
8600 is the newer model
Any idea as to pricing?
what is the frequency range on vhf & uhf ? will it work on p25 phase 1 & 2 ?
No P25, homie.
Mine are test units, the radio is launching soon so final details will be released. It wont work on P25 no
It’s not encryption tho. That’s a mistake in their print. You can’t do encryption unless it’s digital like DMR or p25. Which this is not.
Is there a way we can join the zello
Link to purchase?
What is the price? I can’t see it anywhere?
It varies Mike, contact senhaix :)
Just bought the 8080 today
Good morning, download the programming software of the senhaix model 1430, where can I locate it thanks,
P.S. I do not speak English
Buscar en line por “CHIRP”, puedes usar este para prográmalo (P.S. no hablo español muy bien, mi esposa es mexicana)
Can you program these manually ?
Yes, on the keypad, or with an Android App that operates via Bluetooth
How much to buy
No android devices!? You do surprise me.
Phil M0KPH us quality people only have iPhones 😂
Well only network radios, I would've liked an android smart phone to do the programming with. iOS is coming next week so will demo that using my iphone:)
This might be my Baofeng upgrade.
Famous again lol
No bluetooth audio though eh? Interesting.
Does this radio have Bluetooth ?
It do
Freq display really tiny...
Are these Chinese?
Yes
The flashlight reeks of CCR. I can’t get excited over a radio with a built in flashlight 😒
i just buy a zastone a19 radio, 10 watts dual band, repeater, etc etc i think its better for 50 euro

That's so you can find it easily when you drop it somewhere
Sorry 8800
Do not waste your money on Chinese made radios.
