Mostly is not Designer clothes, is Turkish, and that. Is not real brand. If you look most accesible thing for peoples would be from Gucci that are socks and it cost like 75$ But i'm sure there are peoples that eventualy pay even more than that for Originals.

High-end Luxury Fashion is just another scheme the ultra wealthy use to take more money from us. People these days have no common sense and have been brainwashed by social media like instagram, tik-tok etc and are following one another with these stupid trends thinking they're cool for wearing items that costs more than they can afford just for status. That's not what fashion is about. It's not about the brand but how you put everything together to make a fit. Stop being so braindead people.

True luxury is not having to worry about bills. NOT looking at a credit card debt that you can’t pay off and realizing you either can’t remember what you bought, or that it was something stupid or just not needed.

I agree! My wife and I started out with nothing, she became a lawyer and I start a small business, we worked very hard, invested our money in stocks and real estate, and now many years later we retired fairly early. My only vices are my GT3 and a few nice Swiss watches, but those are long term assets that I love and will lose little to no money, unlike $10,000 jackets or purses.

@@SuitedSkaterLion no offense, but those people you're referring to already know they have it. Mean while you and I will never understand their sophistication on why they own those things because we can't afford it. I don't mean the mainstream brands that everyone defaults their taste on luxury. Their taste is more suited on things that are more bespoke (unlike Gucci, Versace, etc..).

    • @VerleanHurd

    • @Nylon_riot

Because they look good by having quality tailored clothes. He is correct, luxury brand names are for poor people. But you can look put together by buying mid-tier mayerials, having it tailored, making sure the cut and colors fit you. They can hire stylists to do the work for them, but anyone can research this on their own. Most neighborhoods have a tailor. I would actually recommend investing in a quality haircut instead.
The watches and jewelry work more like art pieces, they are only valuable if you can afford the insurance to replace them, but actually have massive markups of 1000%+, and unless they are stolen, lose a lot of value on the resale. The diamond engagement ring is considered the most successful marketing campaign of all time. Diamonds aren't rare, their sale are just restricted. Which is why DeBeers has campaigned hard against lab created diamonds and immediately buys up any land where they are found.
A lot of these people only stay wealthy by not spending money. Expensive homes and yachts are stupid expensive to maintain, and can easily put millionaires into the poor house if their income is not managed properly. Which is why normies don't understand why there are so many abandoned mansions. Despite what we think, outside of old money in a handful of people, millionaires hang onto their wealth an average of 20 years. Which is why the lower class doesn't understand why some millionaires seem to work constantly, as opposed to only earning their money once and retiring. Maintaining wealth can be a cost in itself when you have to pay so many people just to manage it.

Is like you go to a Tailor for a suit or you buy a suit from shein, you know there will be a difference, that's with the brands too, idk where it come from that peoples say that the brands cover you in logos, look for all brands there are clothes that have the brand, and there is clothes they make with the brand tag inside the clothes not outside...

Hopefully more young people will start understanding that they need to save money, and they should stop wasting it on trying to satisfy their EGO. In the end, you only hurt yourself by wasting your money. 😢

To be honest this so America's problem. Or "work is valued high" society. I live in Poland and mechanics or truck drivers don't earn enough to buy shoes for $1,400. And we don't have an issue with kids running in Sephoras as this topic was showing up on my feed recently. Luxury brands are either for business people who want to show how serious they are or fashion and showbiz/influencers. Anyway you look at prices in a different way if on minimum wage those shoes are your two months salary. And our economy is not even that bad don't get me wrong.
If you ask working people here what would they do if they had $10 000 to spare most would overpay their mortgages. And waiting to get a bag? Please, my parents and grandparents were waiting in queues to get basic food products and buying things because they were available not necessary needed because you could trade them later. Fun times (not really).
Hopefully this perspective from a country with a different historical background was interesting for you as your was for me. Cheers from Poland ❤ your video randomly appeared on my feed.

Rich people will not be your next door neighbor or shop at H&M. Rich people will absolutely spend their money on their homes. They will not live in a neighborhood, they often reside in super secluded locations.
H&M is fast fashion, fast fashion is simply not worn by the rich. Rich people spend there money strategically. Clothing purchased strategically would mean a high quality purchase; high quality and H&M are far from synonymous.

I bought it used because I can afford a new one, but the vintage one is just as good. I bought it because I like it, not to "look rich" haha. I wear it with whatever I wear daily and believe me I don't wear designer everything. Too much is tacky anyway.

This UA-camr (@curiousBash) ripped at least parts of this video from MUCH BETTER essay called *Luxury Fashion Is For Broke People* released 3 months prior and changed the word Broke to Poor in his copycat title. How brilliant! Want proof?
13:26 Here's his BARELY PARAPHRASED animal analogy and the use of the word _douchy_ compared to the plagiarized source: ua-cam.com/video/FGDB22dpmwk/v-deo.html
18:33 Here's the reference to the $625 featureless hat from *Succession* and _"stealth wealth" conversations:_ ua-cam.com/video/FGDB22dpmwk/v-deo.html
He also uses the exact same bag clip from that show to make the exact same point using barely paraphrased words.
These are examples I identified from that one source and the other bits are very likely stolen from other videos, including the one you pointed out.

In order to afford a 11k jacket you either need to have the cash laying around or have good enough credit for a line of credit of 15k up. I don’t know not even 1 single poor person that has that good of a credit, that good of a credit line or has 11k to spare in a jacket.
I would say middle class yes, they have that money but they’re not rich and they can afford those pieces, but saying poor people pay for that stuff is stupid. I know tons of rich people that are insanely flashy and are worth several millions of dollars driving rolls Royce’s and being as flashy as they can. In my opinion billionaires are the ones not flashy, poor people can’t afford even if they want so their market is the counterfeit one and middle class and high class are buying those stuff

    • @ReemTahir

100% agree. There is a trend of these types of videos stating “only poor people wear luxury.” I hate it because it’s not even rooted in reality. In what universe does a poor or even middle class person have $11k lying around to buy a bag?
The wealthy financier class exudes quiet luxury because it’s not considered professional to be flashy. However their wives, mistresses, and children all dress ostentatiously.

That is not true. I live in some of wealthiest areas in the world, both in the US and Europe. It is more rare not to be wealthy in these areas. We actually do wear luxury brands. We simply are selective, and never wear labels from top to bottom. Many luxury items are very well made. One must be discriminating, use good taste, and know quality vs status symbol. No, we are not misers who shop at Walmart, drive old cars, or cheap. We do invest in quality, and can be frugal.

Thank you for the video. I’m not attracted to luxury brands because I’m past that stage (50 yo) and I prefer clothes or bags that are classic and with good quality.
When I see someone with something with a big logo on it, it screams low income. It’s so obvious. People need to be aware of this.
You explained the tactics of those brands very well and I hope that lots of people will make better decisions regarding the way they spend their money because they will be aware that they got influenced without realising it.
Same for social media. When you don’t have a huge income, it’s not normal to buy things and make hauls all the time. The idea of those influencers is to make you want to buy … anything… again and again….
Save it for a real project like a house or education.
NB you could do also the same kind of video with the “luxury” 600€ face creams (where a 20-30€ one will do the trick).
