That's why I absolutely love watching your vids when I have the time... I'm mind blown 😳 right now. I never knew I could push up on my Hunder to open it. I have the flipper version, but I always thought the thumb studs were just for side to side stability and not for opening. And this was frustrating. But know knowing to push up instead of out and the dang thing opens... I'm so very happy... so cool 😎
Managed to score one of these in Battle Bronze, quickly became my 2nd favorite Hinderer 2nd only to my Reserve Line xm-18. It's now got me on the hunt for a NF XM-18
Ever since I was a kid when all blades where either non locking or locking with the rear close as they evolved it's natural instinct to go to the thumb stud since then becoming a common feature. I edc Milwaukee fastback original design spring assisted with thumb tab. I bought many replacement once the mosse oak version and fastback changed to a flipper. I have some knives that are a flipper with thumb stud so users preference. I have a second edc blade made by DeWalt Wich is a very nice blade that doesn't have a thumb stud and requires index and every time I go to use it no matter how much I train or use I always go for the non existent thumb stud before going for index. And those miliseconds could mean life or death. So I'm going to machine a thumb stub to it. But when push comes to shove these 40$ blades though made overseas hold there weight against my Benchmades and other American folders
Damn. With the Nymble T drop Saturday, the V4 J Cape preorders at the end of the week, and then this, I’m gonna be eating Raman for a while till my wallet can recover! Never wanted an Eklipse til this non-flipper! Thanks Metal! My wallet does not thank you, but I certainly do!
I purchased one from EKnives and had to return it because the lock bar would not stay put after deployment. I prefer not to feel movement when I grip my knives to cut. QC...it really helps!
You would think with the demand for XM-18/24, full tracks and half tracks that Hinderer would pull their heads out their asses and produce more instead of steadily losing fans and customers by not meeting demand. Emerson is following in Hinderers foot steps also.
Lol... I love it when people say "why don't they just make more?" As if Hinderer etc is just sitting around doing nothing. Bruh, they are operating at maximum capacity. They cannot produce their knives fast enough. They are currently fulfilling orders for so...many... retailers... you have no idea. Don't oversimplify it to justify your frustration. We all want then and Hinderer knows that. They're doing everything they can.
@@metal_complex Actually as a employee of a local cutlery shop (that you know because you have reviewed one of our exclusives) I have dealt with them and others, and no they're not doing everything they can. As recent as a couple months ago they are still using Covid as an excuse for so many back orders including ours. If you don't think I'm serious feel free to give me a call at the store and i would be glad to share with you insight from actually working in the industry verses just uploading reviews on UA-cam.

I’ve got a kid who’s a big Hinderer fan. He’s a lefty though. I’m really hoping Hinderer makes more lefty models so I can get him cool gifts.

If I wanted an XM-18, is it pretty much impossible? Should I give up all hope of ever getting one unless I pay extra for it on the secondary market?
Nice ! My 3 inch xm18 is impossible to thumb stud deploy. Detent is excessive even with flipper.

What I miss is when Smith and Wesson knives where made from Taylor cutlery in main. Those where really nice affordable blades back in the day.

I like flippers but the flipper tab gets in the way of some use’s. Great to play with but ehh on function.
