KSP - Adam's ISS - Part 3: Zvezda

- Welcome back to Adam's ISS series, this episode features Zvezda, the main service module for the ISS.
This video has ended up being much bigger than I'd originally intended. This was going to be an almost pedantic 10 minute Zvezda launch video but instead has turned into a 30 minute triple mission event that I am much more excited about sharing with you folks. Not only do we have Zvezda to enjoy but also the shuttle missions STS-96 & STS-101 that visited the station before Zvezda was connected to it. So we get an extra bit of history in the series and a Spacehab craft file to download for added immersion.
Last weeks episode was Unity, I really liked this video but I ended up using lots of extra sound bites last minute that were really hard to mix into the project due to their quality and even with a lot of effort I felt the sound quality fell a little short, this episode I took all sound qualities into account before I even started to edit, meaning that this is the first video where the sound itself has had a lot of dedication and attention put into it too. So please do comment letting me know if the extra time spent on that was worth while.
You will notice that even still, the sound can be a little off at times but I hope all this does is make it more clear to my viewers what kinds of processes I have to deal with to turn various videos filmed over many decades and many devices and qualities into a single seamless experience, I hope you guys appreciate this as aside from the craft files themselves this is the extra gift I am trying to give to the community with this series.
On top of all that please do keep in mind that the quality and rate of these videos and craft files will all depend on how much time I have to make them so please do consider supporting this series via patreon. The craft files will be stored on my Patreon and freely available so we can kill two birds with one stone with this one link here.

I have no clue how you make the replicas so accurate with stock parts. The station looks great so far.
Thanks mate :)
@@GameplayReviewUK no problem
Some bonus facts about the engines on STS-96 & STS-101:
(note that these are described as if looking directly at the rear of the shuttle)
STS-96:
The top (E2047) was the first RS-25C to ever fly. It ultimately flew 16 times and will fly again on the Artemis 2 core stage.
The left (E2051) was on it's 1st flight, flew 9 times and will fly on the Artemis 4 mission.
The right (E2049) was also on it's 1st flight, flew 7 times and was ultimately lost in the Columbia disaster.
STS-101:
The top (E2043) was on it's 5th flight and flew 8 missions before being retired.
The left (E2054) was on it's first flight, flew 10 times and will fly again on Artemis 3.
The right (E2049) (also flew STS-96) now on it's third flight.
love these videos they have so much detail and info in them and the time put in them is mind boggling!
Love the fact you put in real videos of the mission, adds a great touch to the series and cant wait for what you have planned in the future! :D
Hello from france sir,
The picture of ur replica was a beauty, is this going to be posted on ur kerbalx one day? Look at this zarya omg i m loving it, well done!
@@kellyleduc1791 Im glad that you like my replica! I've been holding off on that project to get some other things done. I do plan on completing though. Currently Im working on SN20 considering it should be launching in the near future. :D
@@spaceguy9025 hope this will be available very soon, i'm not good at building stuff in KSP, but i love the game. Pls don't stop making those awesome replica! Have a good day :)
It's quite nice that photos of Yuri Gagarin and Sergei Korolev is onboard the ISS
You never fail to impress me with your ksp crafts
I would love to see a construction timelapse, these things are just so realistic
Edit : I meant like VAB timelapse
It is obvious that from the high quality of this series that millions of dollars were funded to make it.
Hopefully I get reimbursed one day 😅
YES!
Very good video! But please make sure to low music volume please
It is as low as it will be, any lower and all you get is fuzz from the low quality audio sadly
@@GameplayReviewUK Oh ok, thank you for replying!
I would rather watch this than any documentary
precisely the sentiment I was hoping for :)
@@GameplayReviewUK your welcome, also I have a question. Will you be doing the cube sats that they throw and launch of the station?
@@louispowers3736 I want to do that yes but it all depends on how the series develops ;)
Are the heat shields flags
Oh that's sick
What I want to know how you make your Solar Panels so damn good
I just build them the way I want them to be when deployed then work backwards until the damn things fit into a fairing :D
What happened to this series I loved it
zvezda rocket had *pizza hut on the rocket*
how the hell did you dock this i need to know
Pog
Nasa want there computer back
The Russians make great space stations/space station parts
Yez
Can you link the mods?
Eve, scatterer, distant objects, planet shine, real plume, reentry effects
Imagine comenting second
Premier was going to be tomorrow but it is already setup to go and as far as I can see there is no point in holding back, but this means the craft files wont activate until tomorrow still ;)
This is some documentary-level material.
When will you start using Waterfall? The plumes look amazing!
Probably a couple more episodes away :)
Missed the premiere so enjoying this after my stream. Awesome!
Great video as allways! Love how you're giving us both quality and quantity!
Nice shuttle
:)
When can we expect next part?
probably a week tomorrow?
@@GameplayReviewUK I think that zvezda is broken
@@epyl3991 why is it broken? I've not had time to download and retest the file I uploaded in case something happened to it between my last test and upload?
@@GameplayReviewUK that back radar/antenna idk what is it, is upsite down in craft file
@@GameplayReviewUK at video everything is good but craft has an issue

This is the best I have ever seen. Thanks a lot for your video
