Erik says it was Kellie's spirit and laugh that won him over in a heartbeat. Spend 30 seconds with her and you'll immediately know what he's talking about. This girl's personality instantly lights up a room. We knew their wedding day would be full of energy and laughter, but it was the super emotional moments that really stole the show... Kellie reading the letter Erik wrote to her, his face as Kellie walked down the aisle, her father getting choked up as he handed her off, and the sweet (and funny) words from family and friends at the reception.

He's so well spoken! Howd you guys go about having him tell his stories to the camera & to the lads? Just like "everyone gather round, take a seat, and listen to how he met his wife" kind of a deal? I think id like to try implementing that idea myself
Yep! We get to know our couples ahead of time to find out if there is a particular part of their story we'd like to have them talk about so we can incorporate it into their film. Not everyone is up for it so we don't always do it. It's great when we have couples and wedding parties like this who really have fun with it.

Beautiful work. I can't get over how you hid yourselves with all those different (and wide) camera angles. How did. you pull off that dramatic high up recessional shot?
Thank you! That was a bit of an unusual situation. The bride wanted a photo of the two of them at the end of the aisle and their officiant was going to give everyone instructions. Since we knew they'd already be stopping the recessional and "directing" a photo, I said why not get a recessional aerial too after the photo. So while the photog did her pics, I moved tripods out of the way and Rick got the Mavic in the air. :-)

@@_TheShepherd LOL I will say, you can do some pretty amazing things now with content aware fill in After Effects. If you look at the aerial shots during the processional in this video... ua-cam.com/video/r2Xu9c0rb7U/v-deo.html ...we used After Effects to remove a couple of speakers, some people's bags, and a photographer walking around.
