Hello can you please explain why 10 is added to the amount of Net Assets?

The company is purchased on 1 Jan-18 with net assets of 40m and generates a 10m profit for the year ended 31 Dec-18. The 10m profit increases net assets by 10m. So 40m + 10m = 50m.
