  • The log cabin is starting to take shape. I got the gables done, purlins on, and ridge beam installed. Next video I will carve out the door and windows and get a roof on it.

I’m an old man now but I used to do things such as this throughout my life and lament that I’m no longer able to do these things. The smell of the woods. The wood submitting to your will. The progress. And the earned nights rest due to a days honest and rewarding labors. Thank you sir for allowing me to participate in your project. Thank you. Thank you.

For me, the ideas in ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

One of the things that I think is really cool, is that log cabin building in this way, you have a built-in ladder to help you hoist your heavy logs up …..unlike traditional milled lumber.

Kyle, I just watched the series and thought that you might consider a log end floor. Level the inside of the cabin and put down your barrier of choice. Then, cut log ends to 4 inches and placed on the floor until the area is covered. Like hockey pucks. Then, fill spaces with sand or dirt. If it shifts a little, it will not affect the cabin.
