Brendan, you wicked man! I am 68 years old and although I haven't received a stocking full of presents since I was a teenager, I know younger family members that still regularly receive presents, leave mince pies out for Father Christmas and still marvel at few crumbs he leaves on the plate. We don't leave him any alcohol as, after all, he is driving.

Vey interesting, Brendan .. I did not know that Ireland as island was divided on so many small kingdoms in the middle ages and before. In fact, I remember is history of Europe class in school that Ireland is not mention at all. Glad to know that you and Daisy Bell are alright.
Cheers Stefan! To be honest, I'd always heard about the different Kingdoms of Ireland in school but have only recently taken an interest in actually finding out more about them and where they were, having Daisy Bell take me through them helps 😁
The abbey reminded of the movie the name of the rose with Sean Connery. That Gaelic always twists my tongue as well as my brain 😂. Fantastic lil ride to a historical site and thank you for it Brendan!👍

Cheers! 😁 No one that I'm aware of has the 350 carburettor version , I do know a few with the 500cc version though!

Great for summer riding! Not so much for winter, and it's wise to pack a pair of rain coveralls somewhere in quick access to throw over 'em in the rain as you may have seen in some of my videos in Germany and Austria 😆

I know ruined monasteries are romantic and all that, but it was a tragic business. Not only were countless monks put to death, but monasteries were the equivalent of social services today and thousands starved at their doorstep after the dissolution. It's bad form to talk about old relics in earshot of Daisy Bell.
Hadn't thought of it that way, I ought to read more about that. 🤔 And not to worry about Daisy, she was wearing my gloves on her 'ears' so couldn't hear 😂
