This album made it so clear that Rustage will always be my favourite artist. Everything about it is peak. The bars, the emotions, the production, the transparency, everything. I teared up multiple times during the album. He is the person i look up to the most. Can we all take a moment to thank Rustage for doing what he is doing? He deserves everything and more than what he has.
Relistened to MID and yep it's definitely about Scru! The main shit bar is on point! Scru main thing reactions and Rustage second channel (his side hustle) used to be reactions
I think my opinion won't ever be changed. Rustage is my favorite musician. Not just nerdcore, but in general. He's an amazing artist, producer, rapper, writer and at least a pretty decent singer too. But the one thing that makes him stand out so much is just his ability to find the right people to collaborate with for any song and also, even more importantly, get the absolute most and best out of the people he collaborates with. Like, if I listen to any other nerdcore artist it's just aight. It's not bad, but it doesn't hit right. But then I hear the exact same artist on a Rustage track and I'm just completely blown away. It feels like Rustage could just stand in front of a crowd of people, pick one of them, put a pen in their hand, give them a beat and boom, it's going to end up being an absolute banger
I was waiting for a reaction to his full album. Even the collaborations are incredible; it’s probably his best one yet. It’s surprising how he can turn amazing beats with incredible lyrics into perfect songs. "Shogun," "Moonlight," "Someone Else," "VIP," and "Take Me Back"-nearly every single one of them is beyond perfect!
I feel Rustage every album at least 1-2 songs (if not a set theme) have songs about his personal issues and trauma and “i still breathe” gives me a throwback to his 2021 album overflow where he really poured his heart and trauma out to the world in his songs “trust my sound” and “trauma” and he is amazing at being able to make you feel every emotion he felt while writing. If you haven’t listened to “trust my sound” and “trauma” I highly recommend, trust my sound is a sadder song but trauma, was depressing to listen to and it’ll leave you speechless defo a trigger warning for “trauma”
I like rustage music because it always makes me think and really deep what hes saying sometimes but he also can make just silly bars hes like a weird lil eminem in his own way its honestly so fun and u cant really get his style of rap in nerdcore tbh and we all know who MID was about lol
Shogun is easily my favorite track on the album, mainly because of the part where rustage and tophamhat rapped together, chills. Moonlight and i still breathe are top 3
In vip the line "keep telling me their names are pokemon, had their chance now the moments gone" is a reference to the eevee barbarian chance from pokemon dnd by lost pause where rustage plays the chattot bard charlie
According to shwabadi it wasn't about scru and on his reaction a couple people asked if it was nlj or scru and all he said was along the lines of "I promise it's not scru" never denied it might be nlj though so I'm leaning to nlj but that said I have no clue or deeper insight than anyone else
i thought i was tweaking when i heard dead or alive and thought he was taking shots and youknowwho. "two people hashing it out" "can't make a name so you got to take mine"... is this also shot at youknowwho for leeching of rustage for views and subscribers? But naw, MID just confirmed it for me :D "your main thing is just my side hustle" "Ain't got friends no more you can take from" / "Talk 'bout being better, but your "being better" getting no views" "You just a ghost of the life that you've never lived" IYKYK
Also food for thought. My theory for who it's about is based more on the bar about being out of the LOOP and losing all your friends. There is a collective in Nerdcore called LOOP (Last Of Our People) and quite recently one of the long time/original members left said collective and since has been on and has had a lot fewer songs with other people in the community.
See, everyone is saying they think it's scru, and hell, it might be. Though at the same time at least from my knowledge, scru hasn't ever said anything but positive things about rustage and I don't see rustage being the kind of person to just start bashing on someone with that kind of tie to him. Granted obviously I could be wrong, I don't know the previous situation to Jumpstart a diss track lmao
I said it before and still believe it might be nlj based on shwabadis reaction. In video: oh I know who ALL these songs are about. Multiple commenter's: is it NLJ? second commenter no it's scru. Here's why. Shwabadi: I promise it's not scru. (But didn't defend nlj) So either it's scru and shwabadi is don't a horrible job of deflecting (accidentally or intentionally) or it's nlj and shwabadi won't comment one way or the other on him but was trying to deflect it off of the assumed innocent scru.
@@xFayze I think the peso stuff is just generalized and his main shots were at scru and I didn’t think about the scru connection cause his and Mari’s beef was so long ago. I only thought about it as I recently researched scru and Knox and I’m like, wait Rustage touched on some this shit
@@Kickedbaker Just watch a few recent reactions he's done to nerdcore I think you'll see where the sentiment is coming from. To be clear, I agree with Rustage and am glad he addressed it
@@kenz3612 ya that’s the thing is some of the bars are broad and can apply to many at the same time his main focus was scru but by having some of the bars broad it can be interpreted as a diss to whoever the fans think of when listening. That way he’s covering a broad community
Rustage the 🐐! Glad to be part of this album, love seeing your reactions as always. Also excited to see our interview!
Thanks for checking this out bro always good vibes talking to ya 💯

"Eating colours" is honestly far too relatable

Yeah i thought the same when i heard MID, those descriptions fit exactly that person
Wait wait who? I can think of a few people but what are we thinking? ❤
@@RogueTheRabbit03 scru face
Who is it ??
@@gyaaAAaaaaaaaat my first thought was khan but he has no beef with him 😂
this makes so much more sense
For some reason after listening to Mid and Dead or Alive my mind went to Shao dow but Scru does make more sense.

yoo finally the album reaction!🔥🔥 ik it's lit even before watching
Didn't even get the chance to timestamp it LOL
Mid being about mr. Clown face jean makes it 10× better! Especially cus he used him on overflow as a positive figure lol.

Moonlight and i still breathe are top 3
dead or alive, shogun and david mitchell for me. I ain’t ranking tho 😂
Incredible album cant wait to hear what you have to say about it
I cant help but assume that having a Johnald feature in this album is another jab at the guy MID is talking about
Mmmmmmm I didn't catch that. That's a bar
Honestly I think this is some of rustages best work just a great album and really shows like all of rustage as an artist

The album review let's go ❤
58:41 that was teenage rustage voice am I'm the only one who is listening to him since 2016?
4-7, 10, and 11 are my favorites. 1, 3, and 9 are my honorable mentions. The rest are still great though.
tophamhat kyo featured on blood by rustage, by far his most popular song with 17 million streams
Such a range of emotions he puts you through with this, which to me is usually the sign of a good album.
~_~
Take Me Back makes me want to cry and idk why
think I know who MID is about, but I'm not sure. Let's say... does said person have a scru loose?
😂😂😂
I'm picking up what you're putting down 😂

its funny hearing david mitchell as a "little" british comedian
Wow coming back after finding out MID wasn’t about Scru I’m lost
then who's it about????
@@Wooooaahhhhh idk Rustage still hasn’t said but Shwab a close friend of Rustage said it wasn’t scru
The comments under shwabadis reaction suggest it is Breeton
love tophamhat kyo as and artist. dont even speak japanese but recomend checking him out
Eating colours is so real!
Cus Rustage obvious-
