The Extreme Event chamber is built to handle high-pressure events and heat releases, incorporating tertiary explosion protection and certified by the TUEV institution. Its stainless steel and reinforced design withstands pressures up to 1.5 bar and temperatures up to 650°C. Safety features include a pressure release mechanism with four flaps and two access ports for air supply and exhaust, allowing connection to an external temperature control unit. This setup achieves temperatures from -40°C to 200°C.
Primarily used for battery abuse testing, the chamber is also suitable for hydrogen fuel cell component testing and arc testing. Its modular design allows for customization to meet specific testing requirements.
