JYP also played “Feel Me” the longest. So it is in his mind better than the previous 2. I like the beat. It also shows how high of an expectation JYP has for his artists. So they will produce even better songs.
I am a classically trained musician and criticism is something you have to learn how to accept because it is the only way you can become better. That is how I became a good musician and one of the best. But I didn't pursue music because classical music isn't supported in the USA and you cant make a living from it even if you are the best. Even the best have to have side hustles and my motive in life is work smart not hard. This why i pursue my second passion which is engineering. Classical music will always be my first love, and I still play my various instruments to this day for my own leisure.
JB is the type of man who focused at everything, every little things come to his mind and he remembered. He will treat people around him like they are an important thing even just a friend God i need this type of man for my entire life.

looking back at this 2 years later made me think this: jyp is in his 40s and a lot of the music got7 makes sounds really similar to his own. i have this gut feeling that the reason jyp is rejecting his songs is because theyre not something he himself would release as a song. got7 are in their 20s so theyre making songs that they think people in their teens or 20s would listen to. but jyp's ideal music type for them is for people who are closer to his age, so people in their 40s, which means jb needs to think like someone in their 40s if he wants his music to be apporved by jyp.
I have a similar gut feeling. Since jyp has been in the music industry since 1994 (which made him about 23 years old then) he’s been working with and writing for teens and 20s year olds for the past 20ish years. There’s a part of me that thinks he may be kinda out of touch of what teens and 20s year olds listen to today. He probably thinks they have a similar taste of music with 40s year olds. In other words, he probably thinks that music hasn’t changed that much since he started, even though in most ways it has. Also, in a musical sense, there's another part of me that thinks that jyp is still in his 20s for the same reason why he seems out of touch of what young people like today - him starting his career in his early 20s and his inability to change his mindset of the music industry today. Since he has been in the music industry for 20 years and works with 20s year olds all the time, I don't think he realizes that he's going to be turning 50 soon. For me this can be shown through how he treats other artists and his music. For his recent music, it feels, in a visual and audio sense, like you would hear from a young (who's first starting out) artist in the 90s or 00s. From jyp's experience and career, I expect something fun (because in a way that's jyp's brand), but something more lyrically and visually mature. edit: fixed spelling and added some things

JayB is such a talented song writer. He wrote so many bops of got7 himself and I never encountered any other group that actually writes their own songs. Think JYP is right. It is indeed hard to please korean music taste because honestly, from my perspective, I've been into kpop for 10 yrs exactly and I've heard 100s of songs that sounded so good it could've become worldwide hits being wasted because Korean public didn't like it or didn't find it interesting. It is indeed hard to make a solo that would increase soloists or groups popularity pretty fast. JYP knows what he's talking about, man has been in industry for so many years.

You want to release a song that could be considered “timeless”. You could release a lot of good songs that sound good for the moment; but then people will forget it after a while. As a writer, producer, and artist, you want people to feel your songs. You want them to think about your songs. The k-pop market is flooded with “hits” but then they all sound the same. Like a cog in a machine. JYP is picky because you have to have an ear for it. Some people naturally have it but most people have to learn it. JB is getting his lesson now.

I will always acknowledge the fact he really tries hard for us and regardless of what anyone thinks, JB has nothing but pure talent in my opinion and he can’t do no wrong in my eyes. I really believe in creative freedom so it was upsetting that those songs weren't formally released to the public. Like you can't just base it off your personal opinion because others don't like the same music as you do. Although who am I complain? I really do agree. The creative freedom is so limited for jyp artists thst they might as well just be called idols.. you cant shut down an entire song after 5 seconds. You can also try an bring out the best of each song and tell jb what he could build on or what he did really good. People dissmiss jyps attitude just because hes been making hits for a long time, but i think its(not only very rude but also) theres a lack of room for artistic evolution and expression. JayB is such a talented song writer. He wrote so many bops of got7 himself and I never encountered any other group that actually writes their own songs. So seeing him, a leader who not only is in the group but also who is involved in their songs, being turned down by his boss without real explanation makes my blood boil. How are you expecting good songs to be written by your artists when you do not give them artistic and creative freedom. I absolutely cannot understand how some people still like this old dude and defend him. I'm so glad got7 is out and freed from his fangs
Think JYP is right. It is indeed hard to please korean music taste because honestly, from my perspective, I've been into kpop for 10 yrs exactly and I've heard 100s of songs that sounded so good it could've become worldwide hits being wasted because Korean public didn't like it or didn't find it interesting. It is indeed hard to make a solo that would increase soloists or groups popularity pretty fast. JYP knows what he's talking about, man has been in industry for so many years.

You want to release a song that could be considered “timeless”. You could release a lot of good songs that sound good for the moment; but then people will forget it after a while. As a writer, producer, and artist, you want people to feel your songs. You want them to think about your songs. The k-pop market is flooded with “hits” but then they all sound the same. Like a cog in a machine. JYP is picky because you have to have an ear for it. Some people naturally have it but most people have to learn it. JB is getting his lesson now.
jyp is right, i completely agree with his instrumental critique. but he didn't even let the song play out! i wish they had slightly more creative freedom like straykids, because despite what jyp says, hes better with his gg than the bg. he knows much more about gg, and his gg are pretty manufactured tmo

I really believe in creative freedom so it was upsetting that those songs weren't formally released to the public. Like you can't just base it off your personal opinion because others don't like the same music as you do. Although who am I complain? If I was JB i'd probably put those songs on soundcloud or something.

I really do agree. The creative freedom is so limited for jyp artists thst they might as well just be called idols.. you cant shut down an entire song after 5 seconds. You can also try an bring out the best of each song and tell jb what he could build on or what he did really good. People dissmiss jyps attitude just because hes been making hits for a long time, but i think its(not only very rude but also) theres a lack of room for artistic evolution and expression.
Instead of liking got7s songs we seem to only get to enjoy jyps tastes on their albums and it kinda pisses me off thst no one is bothered at all by this.....
