I’ve been to that area twice although never to Rigi (we did Pilatus) so I would give the world to do this ride. To me, it’s like you’ve landed in Heaven, it’s just so perfect. He is so well behaved. A real gentleman. I wish we could enjoy his presence for another ten years, despite his good shape. And that train journey is so beatiful. All the sorroundings are beatiful. This was such an amazing video. That shot close to the edge in the snow with the sea of fog in the background at 3:05 was breathtaking! We skipped Rigi when we visited, but this will be on our list when we re-visit!

Absolutely glorious video, as always! One of the things that strikes me about it is how hard it is to recognise anything in winter. I've been up to the Rigi many times in spring and summer, but with the fog below and the snow on all the mountains I'm not sure about anything except Pilatus and the distant Bernese Oberland giants. Is that tiny island that you see on the journey down the top of the Bürgenstock? Anyway, it's fascinating and I loved it!
Yes, I totally agree with you - you lose your bearings if you don't have any mountains or towns to guide you. I really like that because it feels like I'm in a different country. Simply fantastic! And yes, this must be the peak of Bürgenstock
