  • ✈️Eastern Sky of Jeju
The east side of Jeju has many tourist points, such as Seongsan Ilchulbong, Udo, Seopjikoji, and Manjanggul Cave, where you can enjoy the island's beautiful nature.🌿🍃
It's known for fabulous sunsets just as incredible as the west side, and there are plenty of famous beaches, such as Hamdeok, Woljeong, Gimnyeong, and Hado. Plus, the beaches will be windy enough to enjoy surfing or other water activities.
    🏖️Woljeong Beach
Located on the east side of Jeju, "Woljeong-ri" is a small and serene village with its name meaning "where the moon stays." The beach here is pretty shallow, so it's perfect for families with little children. But if you prefer to be active and enjoy water activities like surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, or more, then this beach can accommodate you as well. Many surfers come to Woljeong Beach as the waves regularly come in consistent heights. Also, it's part of the Jeju Olle Trail Route 20 "Gimnyeong-Hado Olle" and "Gimnyeong-Woljeong Geo-Trail." It offers a breathtaking view of the ocean and a refreshing breeze for all tourists traveling by foot.
    🏔️Donggeomeuni Oreum
It's a parasitic volcano located in Jongdal-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si. It's 340m above sea level, its circumference is 3,613m, and it holds 466,283 m2 of land. The oreum's multiple vents look like a cluster of spider houses, so it's also called "Geomi Oreum," meaning "Spider Oreum."
    🏔️ Dusanbong
The crater rim that stretches from the east to south of the Dusanbong has eroded, forming steep slopes, whereas flat grassland has formed on its northern to western side. It is either called "Dusan" or "Dusanbong," meaning a big, stalky mountain, but it was also called "Mal(Horse)mi Oreum" because lots of horses grazed here in the past.
    🗻Seongsan Ilchulbong
Unlike other oreums, it was formed when magma flowed under the sea. When the hot lava mixed with cold seawater, it created a sticky paste due to all the moisture, forming layers and layers to make what we now know as Seongsan Ilchulbong. The sedimentary layers along the ocean have eroded due to waves and ocean currents, forming a steep slope. When it was formed, it was a separate island, but a build-up of sand and soil started connecting the island to the mainland every time there were low tides. Then, in 1940, a road was built to connect them.
    🏝️Udo
Udo was called "Soseom," meaning "Cow Island," early on because the island's shape resembles a cow lying down. It has gentle slopes, rich soils, diverse sea life, and even a list of eight scenic views. As one of Jeju's islands, its incredible nature attracts approximately 2 million people every year.
    🏖️Hado Beach
Hado Beach is located in Hado-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si. Its exotic landscape and wide beaches are kept in relatively clean condition compared to other famous beaches, as this one is less well-known. It's a "secret scenic point in Jeju."
The beach is on the shallow side, so it's great for families with little children, and people come to enjoy fishing or camping. The view is especially beautiful here, so those looking for quiet and calm places tend to enjoy this beach. But of course, water activities like surfing or snorkeling are offered at the beach for those who enjoy them.
