- You never know what can happen in Rust, that's the beauty of the game. And today is no different! I am propelled into a situation that completely diverts me from my original plan. An unexpected base exploit leads me into deep waters as I choose between living on mainland, or living in the ocean. Enjoy.

Just a heads up but this was a raid defence trap base, not a standard bait trap base. I did leave the door open whilst I was offline and when I logged in the following day the twig was broken, so people did actually fall for the trap, but unfortunately I never got to capture it. Either way, hope you enjoyed the video lads, more to come very soon.

The issue I have with the placement of your shotgun trap is that if they have a teammate they can boost on top of it and then they can use the Rockets or other weapons I’d recommend placing the trap hire so you can’t get off-line rated that easily

that fish base you found. there's guides on it, you can make 1200 scrap an hour fishing for sharks and trading for scrap. you jus use all the small fish for bait to catch sharks then trade the sharks in.

So Jordan, when you do this again, a solid way to get back into your base is to actually angle one of the shotgun traps at a 45 degree angle pointing down into the water, it gives you something to step on so you're not relying on the water to let you into your base.
I like the idea of placing a chair, and having a shotgun trap behind the chair, so if anyone tries to sit to get up, they instantly get their wig chopped
@@Subreon While a great idea for the singular moment, it's much less effective when thinking in the long run. Once they fall for it once, they can simply swim back to the surface and loot their body without sitting back in the chair.

You alone have made me want to play rust. I've seen tons of videos about it I've always been interested but I haven't had any friends that play, but you've inspired me.
Being a noob fuckin sucks against the sweats who shoot everyone in a 100m radius and roof camp the forests or just hide in the forests to kill anyone farming... just a warning.. that made me quit playing rust, I understand you shouldn't hoard itsms bc it'll get wiped anyway and that bases will be torn down and you will die but just repeated death after death with like maybe one upgrade more to a base per death is not fun.. also these competitive games bring the worst outta me so maybe im just biased because of my poor attitude to being worse than someone...
Not even a noob I was somewhat good and STILL. THAT. SHR. HAPPENED. EVERY. TIME. though I did once last 3 days on a monthly wipe server... and one other that lasted maybe 5 days before i became too inactive, it was a really good base I found but I just didn't have the motivation as I was in the middle if a valley with no trees or protection from the 4 other bases (1 roof camper looking base, one full metal base, 1 group base that kill nakeds for fun, and the other was a bade I never saw anyone exit or enter...) so yeah I was like "Alr fuck me Im out B)"
edit: Maybe I'll try Rust again.. just gotta use my crappy internet to update it T-T

Always wonder with these - what happens afterwards when you move on? Do other people find the cool base and take over, or is it just looted and left. Glad the holiday was ace.
Bases decay in Rust. So whoever discovers it has the option to rebuild it and make it their own with whatever is left at the time they find it, or they can just loot it and return to their base if they have one.

About Original having no loot. right after you took him out someone else from the boat jumped out and grabbed it. When you look back you can see the splash in the top right corner from the one jumping in the water.
