Anderson was easily one of my favourite characters in the entire trilogy. He always put the needs of humanity before anything else and always had Shepard's back no matter the situation. Plus, he was just an overall badass in general. I couldn't help but cry when he died. One of the saddest moments I have experienced in video games so far.
I always thought Anderson was a father figure to shep. his death makes me cry every time

even early on in ME1, he felt like my shepard's surrogate father and i loved him as such D: his death was probably the saddest for me, after mordin's death.

Whether the Indoctrination Theory is true or not, choosing anything but destroy at the end is nothing short of the greatest disrespect you can possibly show to one of the greatest badasses in the Mass Effect universe.

Thanks. That scene is from the Extended Cut DLC. It's different depending on what squadmates you bring and who the love interest is. It's a free DLC so it's worth checking out if you're interested in it.
great choice to include anderson's cut dialogue...very moving, very touching. amazing and poetic. thank you.

I cry everytime seeing my father figure slip away. One of the greatest mentors in all of gaming.
Nah, changed my mind. :P I realized there was very little decent footage of Anderson from ME1 and ME2 but there's more than enough in ME3. ;)
Another great video just finished the game last night broke my heart to see Anderson die :'(

So is that last bit of dialogue between shep and anderson in the game at all, or is it all put together for this video?
The dialogue isn't used in the game because BioWare decided not to use it in the finish. It can still be found in the audio files of the game when they're extracted though. Too bad it was cut, considering the voice actors did such a great job with the dialogue.

Though he says there he never had a family when he actually has a son and an ex-wife that he even mentions in ME3. There are some interesting theories out there... : P
