I think the Chiefs losing 3 spots is kinda nuts, and I'm an Eagles fan. Detroit is the #1, but Chiefs are #2 until they lose more games. Buffalo takes 3, Eagles 4. That being said, I think the 10 best teams in football are indeed on this list. The order is probably more subjective than anything.
Don't sleep on Seattle....Jsn got like 400yds the last 3 games Metcalf been out and MacDonald(Trump) just out-coached Mcvay and Shannahan back to back games.
I’d really like to see the Chargers at least get to the playoffs. I’m 57 years old and been a Chargers fan forever since I grew up in San Diego. But when they moved to LA and then tore down the stadium it felt like a kick in the nuts. I didn’t watch football for a couple of seasons, but I’m coming around. I would love to see the Lions take it all though.
No way I'd put the Arizona Cardinals above the Texans (who should have beat the #1 ranked team last week)...🤔 But then again they did lose to the Jets. So I can understand them being left off the list.
@@atg1338 Just double checked to make sure I wasn't missing something. The only bad loss of their season is the loss to the Jets. They beat the Bills. Barley lost by 3 to the Lions. And had a blowout loss on the road to the Vikings.
No Texans is crazy but they’ll look dumb later 🤦🏻♂️ lost to packers by 2, gave away the lions game by a FG (the #1 Team). Not even top 10? Their defense is elite- offense will come around.
Rich, I am disappointed you are falling in line with other talking heads saying the Chiefs are done after 1 loss. I hope everyone writes them off, and takes them for granted. We will see where the chips fall. This is just pre-season for the Chiefs. The Playoffs is where they will shine.
I don't think most realize just how dominant the Lions have been. They currently are the 3rd best team of all-time in the NFL (goes back to 1978 I think) in DVOA (a per play, schedule adjusted analytics site) behind only the 91 Redskins and 07 Patriots at this point of the season.
That is not terribly shocking. They are barely behind both teams in terms of SRS (which takes into account point differential and strength of schedule).
This is why it made no sense to keep them behind an undefeated team. They lost in Week2 when Goff for whatever reason threw 100 passes. The team is clearly not that now. They're easily the best
Your boy threw five interceptions a couple weeks ago. I know that's happened in the NFL before I just don't remember ever hearing about it. Like I said I know for a fact that's happened in the past. I just don't remember last time it happened. That's like really really really really really really bad. It also means he can do it again.
@@BrettL250he did that on the road and they STILL won against a good team and it wasn't a fluke like the Seahawks comeback in the NFCCG. That's how good this team is.

Not sure why people are still using Curb Stomp as a way to describe dominating a team. Does this older crowd NOT know what the actual meaning of Curb Stomp is? 😮
If the NFC south is a metric for putting the Vikings at eight, the Broncos should be at seven because they beat every team by 20+ points in the NFC south
Not to assist you with middle school comprehension, but the Vikings record puts them where they are and the play vs the south is why they are lower than other teams with the same record. The broncos have 5 losses and don’t deserve to be in the discussion.
I already knew he wasn't going to move the Steelers up. You win the biggest rivalry game in the NFL and you get knocked for not scoring a lot of points. But that's the media.
Vikings could beat the Lions in the NFC championship and the media would still use the high voice and ask if they’re for real. As a Vikings fan this makes me more comfortable than the media hyping them up before the team inevitably lets me down.
I like the list, though part of me feels like the Broncos & Commanders should be on here. But that's hard to do when I feel like the 10 teams already on the list deserve to be there too.
Everybody is so high on Pittsburgh and I just don’t get it. I felt they were ranked too high, before they blew it, last night. Their offense is mediocre.
They should do a ranking of NFL owners. I am sure there would in the bottom 4 would include Jerry Jones, Woody Johnson, Virginia McCaskey and John Mara. Forget about players on the teams, it is the management that needs to be replaced.
He has had them overrated. Pretty much the only one pushing back on them being called #1 was Chris, and he was being called a hater with the only argument of "how can they not be #1 when they're undefeated?". They were barely getting past teams like the raiders and people were acting like they were the best team in the nfl and it wasn't even close. Blows my mind.
@@limitedbom2206 The Chiefs never blow anyone out and lost against the Raiders on Christmas last season and then went on to win the SB. I don't understand how people still expect them to be like other teams. They've continually shown they don't play their best football in the regular season, so I don't know why people think a close game against the Raiders is evidence of much. It could be, but I feel like it makes more sense to assume they'll do the same in the playoffs they've done for years now.
@popuri48 Dude, they're still killing the Chiefs for losing games in the 2021 season THIS YEAR. The Chiefs are simply graded differently than other teams.

Chiefs fan here, put us lower, maybe at like 5 or 6, I don't know if we'd beat the Steelers right now. Also I think the charger should be higher. Other than that a very good list.
I think you’d beat the Steelers but it would be an ugly game.
Fast forward to the playoffs, the Chiefs will still be the team to beat.
In their third game of the season, the Bills beat the Jaguars 47 - 10 and played many backup players in the 4th quarter. Also, rookies were new, and Samuels and Cooper were with other teams.
My Vikings are 8-2 (Barely lost to Lions) and have only played one complete game (Texans)....I'd like to believe their best football is ahead of them....but as a long time Vikes fan, I know it could all go south at anytime....Doh!...
I’m a bills fan. But I definitely agree that Detroit deserves the top spot right now until proven otherwise.
Big game in 3 weeks
I got Steelers vs Lions for the SB.
Detroit winning 37-17.
GO LIONS!!!!!!!
"Finally, best team in football!" ONE PRIDE!!!
Vikings, tied for 4th best record with two other teams, and Rich gives them 7th place. Whatever.
Maybe dont beat the jaguars by 5
Too much history of the Vikings falling off a cliff 2nd half the season
Purple teams don't deserve high rankings.
They haven't been as good as they were early in the season. If they were they'd be 3rd probably.
Why are Viking fans such whiny babies? They're all over this comment section crying about the Vikings ranking.
Nobody can hate the lions. Let that city and team have success. If a Steelers Super Bowl win isn’t in the cards, I hope the lions win it all.
It’s just week 12. Bills are on the bye. One game at a time. GO BILLS 🔵🔴
You're still welcome in KC Rich..
Don't let some psycho Chiefs fans get you down.. losing is not new to me (someone who has been a die-hard of the team before 2017, lol) and I am very confident that the Chiefs will win in the playoffs, maybe not SB but at least a game or 2.. No problem with the top 5
The Eagles have beat 6 teams with a losing record 🤣6
I do understand where you're coming from. They did lose though. Both of them lost to the Lions by a score
Texans 🤣🤣lost to the jets and needed a miracle to beat the Bears 🤣 beat 1 team with a winning record 🤣
The Bills? And what miracle are you referring to?
@@atg1338 Just double checked to make sure I wasn't missing something. The only bad loss of their season is the loss to the Jets. They beat the Bills. Barley lost by 3 to the Lions. And had a blowout loss on the road to the Vikings.
No Texans is crazy but they’ll look dumb later 🤦🏻♂️ lost to packers by 2, gave away the lions game by a FG (the #1 Team). Not even top 10? Their defense is elite- offense will come around.
Try actually scoring points in the second half some time.
L power ranking 6-4 cardinals over commanders who scored 42 on them
Commanders are trending down though. Power Rankings usually weight recent play.
Record and head to head matter..Rich is on crack, having Cards above commanders..and packers..got smoked by both teams
@@ryanblosser6081 I hear you, brother. I like theLions. I'm just telling you without googling it name the last time a quarterback through five interceptions in one game. I bet you can't do that without looking it up. That's impossible. And the Lions won that game despite him.
Damn Rich. Absolutely savage with the Siegfried & Roy joke. Hahaha 😂 that's good comedy.
Not sure why people are still using Curb Stomp as a way to describe dominating a team. Does this older crowd NOT know what the actual meaning of Curb Stomp is? 😮
Just a Lions fan here quoting Lizzo, "It's about damn time."
You guys should do the 10 worst teams. Then the Jets would be on there every week.
@jtfike salty Vikings fan sad about a mediocre win over a garbage jags team 😂😂
Steelers beat the previous #3 but don't move from #5... OK
I already knew he wasn't going to move the Steelers up. You win the biggest rivalry game in the NFL and you get knocked for not scoring a lot of points. But that's the media.
Rich disappointed me with these tiers. Dropping the Chiefs to fourth is absolutely wild.
Rich, Have you seen Jared Verse? He’s the DROY and it’s not close
Washington has beat 1 team with a winning record 🤣🤣🤣 1!
If you’re going to do power rankings pick the top 14. 14 teams make the playoffs. Com’on man.
I work for Sleep Number. Great beds. Pricey, but great.
Is this Chiefs team really that different than last week's team? Or did you stubbornly have them overrated for a while now?
Who thinks Pittsburgh will defeat the Chiefs?
🙌
Nobody
@@jamesperry3818there are dozens of us, DOZENS!
It won't be easy, but it's certainly doable with their defense.
I do
Other than the teams obviously picking early in the next draft the rankings/predictions for the rest of the league as always depend on late season peaking. Until the morning of December 10 any of the teams with a shot could start peaking and any of the top teams could fall to injuries or other factors.
“My first read isn’t there let me run Russ” 🤣🤣🤣 the Steelers receivers other than Pickens are just struggling to get open for him, watch the all 22
Right. Oline is struggling too. Both Fields and Russ were having a tough time behind that line.
I 100% think this is the best OFFENSE Josh has ever played with… it’s def the best OL, but I could make a strong argument that these are the best weapons of his career too
Both Siegfried & Roy have passed on. Roy Horn, who was attacked by his own tiger in 2003, died on April 28, 2020. Siegfried Fischbacher died on January 11, 2021. Of course, you can read about them on Wikipedia.
Love is polarizing for sure. This season he's looking like Favre, last season when they went on that run he was looking like Rodgers.
As fat a the Lions 52 dropped on the Jags, It should be said only the Bills scored easily on them. And that same defense only gave up 12 points last week against the 8-2 Vikings. Lions can only stop themselves
JJ ISNT GOING OFF?!?!?! HES 2ND IN YARDS?!?!?!?!?! LMAOOOO
It's going to be really funny to watch Rich's "I can't believe we doubted the Chiefs again!" video in 3 months. It's like clockwork.
Did you even watch the video? Rich said he is still picking the Chiefs to win the Superbowl.
Jared Goff is Mahomes kryptonite
@@joshlewis575Right.
I remember when it was Joe Burrow.
With a little help from the refs.
Why would they do that after the Chiefs lose to the Lions in the Super Bowl?
