Giraldo was able to make Martin Short break character at 3:46 I've never seen a guest reverse Glick on himself so effortlessly... Two geniuses at work here..
@Marten Dekker it's a well known fact that people who use the word shite, well, everyone knows they have the brain of a halfwit and a case of the downs.
4:04 I've seen all these and I think this is the first time Short breaks- if only for a split second then recomposes himself like a pro. Good job Giraldo, I haven't seen anyone break Jiminy at all.
Man, dont you hate it when you're about to add a comment and just happen to scroll through to see if anyone else made the same observation and then you see it. Then the question is 1. Be angry and dont thumb 2. Ignore and comment anyway 3. Thumb up comment and laugh knowingly feeling a sense of comraderie. 4. Thumb up and write a very long anecdote to make up for your loss of recognition. Four. I chose option four. Then there's this ugly thorn in my side about Short breaking in some other video. Well. Looks like Filthyrich has got us both over a barrel.
Love it. Love it. Glock! Second City spin offs. Sctv. OMG john Candy. Eugene levy. Cathrine O'Hara. Joe flaherty. Rick moranis. Harold ramos. The list goes on and on.
It’s selfish, but I wish Greg would have held on a while longer. He really brought a lot of joy to me, and the world. It was good to see Martin break with a real laugh and then instantly ‘suck it up’ and stay in character. I wonder whose idea it was to take the interview in that direction? RIP
@NamIsIll OMG...I had NO IDEA that Greg Giraldo died until I saw your comment here. I had a major life change in Sept. 2010 so I missed the news about his death. This is shocking to me. I used to watch his comedy sometimes on Comedy Central in the U.S.
Miss Greg. Another guy who would've slayed with Martin in these interviews would've been Patrice O'Neal. Patrice oddly worked well with old school comedians like Pat Cooper, Kevin Meaney, Colin Quinn and Jackie Mason to name a few.
If you search for “Dead Comics Live vol 2” you will find an hour of Patrice and Greg’s material over original hip hop beats. I made it as an homage to the greats. I wish they would’ve been around longer!
Not to mention weed makes Italians even greasier than they already are and they normally could grease a whole pizza with what comes off of a comb used in the morning
Martin Short, in hindsight, probably shouldn’t have done this skit with him. He died a year later. He was likely suffering when this piece was done. It couldn’t have been helpful, given his condition.
you know both of these guys are greats because they can make eachother break character.
How do you figure Greg broke character? Hes not acting
I didn't expect Greg to be so lovely with Martin. They're great together.

RIP Greg Giraldo...
Somebody really needs to get hold of the masters and upscale all of Jiminy's shows. They are an overlooked work of art
Love you Greg Giraldo, God Rest in Heavenly Peace
RIP Greg Giraldo. He could walk up to anybody and they'd like them because he had magnetism, humor, good looks and heart.
Yes. And great interaction with Jiminy!
@Marten Dekker it's a well known fact that people who use the word shite, well, everyone knows they have the brain of a halfwit and a case of the downs.
@Luna EB hickory dickery dock OOOHHHHH!
Material
Plus he had “that ethnic thing” 😂
I love Greg Giraldo. I miss him. He was one of the best.

Check out the Mel Brooks interview....he breaks Jiminy

I just found another one.
David Duchovny minute 145.
And here under the worst quality video will be the repository for Short breaks.
I've seen him crack many times but its never for more than a second and he's good at 'hiding' it/recovering
for tose who care, illeana douglas also broke him.
Two absolute comedic wizards. Nice to see them together.
"I've seen bigger lumps in oatmeal" Lol.
Greg was brilliant, Regis H.S., Columbia and Harvard Law. Chose comedy because it suited his personality.
Unexpected. I didn't realize he interviewed Greg Giraldo. I didn't realize he was so nice. Lol. Rest in Power G.G.
We miss you, Greg. Continued rest in peace. 💛
"You seem like a wonderful spirit"
RIP
4:11....he broke character n recovered instantly. Brilliant
Might be my Favorite Jiminy Glick Interview
The split second that Martin breaks is one of my all time favorite Glick moments.
"I think it's a drug haze. Off you go." Just amazing!
Damn, I miss this man.
It’s so sad to hear how tortured he was.
greg: "I don't get Viagra. Just when you don't have to put up with womens crap any more you take a pill and go right back".
GENIUS!!!:)
The ending is Gold.
2 GREATS !! RIP Greg....
Greg was hot
RIP beautiful 🙏🌹♥️
omg what a HUGE comedian this guy is ... and that's Martin and Greg
the arms of an otter LOL, RIP Greg you were a brilliant comedian
I miss Greg.
Greg was GREAT!!!:)
I involuntarily gasped when Jiminy said, "if you couldn't be in showbiz, and you won't be soon..."
Liam Hagan me too that is haunting creepy as hell
Imagine a Jiminy Glick Patrice O'Neal interview
I bet money Patrice would've called him "Sweetie"
Love it. Love it. Glock!

Greg had a law degree from Harvard.
for shame
I love jiminys tone in this and how he keeps calling Greg a spirit
Two fantastic performers!
Greg Giraldo died that same year. Was this his last interview? :( He was and still is the Roast King. RIP
A couple of years later, I think...this was in 2008...
He roasted the shit out of him in 30 seconds lololololol
I've never seen Jiminy be so complimentary of someone. Pretty cool.
nothing is grander and more pure than the respect of a good comedian to another
Martin almost lost it when Greg talked about men's boobies.... haha
interesting that Jiminy specifically mentions Greg's "spirit" multiple time
I love how he accidentally says he's Canadian.
“You’ve got the arms of an otter”
He said the same about Robin Williams
Damn, he was gorgeous!
OMG... the ethnic qualification was so slippery (but also so funny).
Roast in peace
NICE!!!:)
Brilliant, just brilliant!
I feel like I'm watching my parents talk to each other.
He’s was easily the best roaster, and it wasn’t even close. “Lobotomy Island” is all time.
Rip. I am here to receive your soul.

43.
Gutted to think one year later he passed
Jiminy briefly slipped in a British accent @1:00
RIP Greg
"If you end world poverty, how would a director shoot a crowd scene? "
“…and children with aids” 😂
I miss Greg Giraldo.
Giraldo was the best.
5:47 Greg laughs 😅 0:46😂 4:09 1:12
For how good this should have been, they were both off a tick in terms of feeding off each other. But did enjoy the post
A rare and unique interview
Roasting a Roaster.
Harry Ethnic
That's not Greg Giraldo, it's Harry Ethnic

If you wan to do drugs do marijuana. No one has ever died from that.
Car accidents. It can be like alcohol on that, unfortunately.
@@thebrazilianatlantis165 Yep, and stoners invariably think they can drive just fine or even better when they're high. It's sad really
June 2009.
2022 they still don't
3:42 is DARK
What? Greg is _dead?!?_ *SANDY, WHY AM I NOT INFORMED OF THESE THINGS!*
Absolootely

Not to mention weed makes Italians even greasier than they already are and they normally could grease a whole pizza with what comes off of a comb used in the morning
Slightly awkward not as natural weird Jiminy least fave interview so far.
Don't know the person either being interviewed
Martin Short, in hindsight, probably shouldn’t have done this skit with him. He died a year later. He was likely suffering when this piece was done. It couldn’t have been helpful, given his condition.
Mark Christopher Vattes lol that’s quite the irrational jump you’ve taken there. Greg clearly enjoyed it, was a skit between two comedians
