Hey guys my name is Blake also known as Nailed it here on UA-cam. I make videos about DIY & Home Remodeling.
In this video I am going to be installing a towel bar in my master bathroom. I will show you guys step by step how I did it. I will be installing the towel bar using the included drywall anchors. I will first be predrilling the drywall to make sure I do not break the anchors. Its a pretty fast and easy process and the towel bar will be very nice and strong when we are finished. I like how he demonstrates the problems that most of us face as well as simple ways to remedy them without stressing out. Of course, it’s not easy for just anybody to cut a rod, but still very good example. Nobody’s perfect but it shouldn’t stop us from trying.
You make it look so easy. I end up with huge holes in the plasterboard (drywall), bent rawl plugs, and a very squint shelf or whatever I am putting up!!! Thank you for this video. I appreciate it.
Even though the anchor is self drilling, making a pilot hole / pre-drilling as in the video helps to avoid having the tip of the anchor snap off.
Can anyone tell me what he did wrong when measuring so I won't make that mistake? It looked like he measured everything perfectly.

Great vid! How do you determine how much space, you'll leave on the sides?
Cut the towel bar to 16” and mount to both studs…….that’s the real solution…..
What kind of drill do I need for this?
Mine came with a template sheet that I taped up to the wall for the hole locations.

Those drywall plugs are self drilling 🤦
