Now we want to give our spaces a makeover too! We hope landlords everywhere watch this and learn that artists are the best tenants because they really care about details- every artist we know spackles and sands every single hole in the walls before they move out of an apartment! Training and studio craft changes everything, like printmakers who only skim across the surface when they eat hummus (never gouge the surface of your ink) and painters who can arrange a whole room in perfect right angles because they can square up a stretcher frame by just eyeballing it!
I hadn't thought about how the peach walls reflect in videos, but it absolutely makes sense and you can really tell the difference in the end clips! The room looks a lot tidier and more organised, you both did a fantastic job 😊
Where your husband picked for the wave painting was perfect. The colours in the painting comes out even more vivid because of the sofa.
I love your gallery wall. I never keep my finished stuff. Oddly, my favourite painting I did, is unfinished and has been unfinished for over 6 years. I think I need to accept that it's actually done...lol.
Honestly the best part about cleaning/organizing is finding all the stuff that you forgot about. It’s like Christmas 🥰

Yes to a spa day for your palettes cuz there are few things more satisfying that peeling that stuff off. I'm really digging your .... dresser(?) thing that you use for storage cuz I've honestly never seen drawer carved into like that and its really neat.

Growing up, my dad was a handyman, and when I got old enough to work with him, I would go and help paint, and I just loved to cut in. Lol. He never used tape, so I wasn't allowed to either. Lol. Not in a bad way, he just taught me how to do it without. Love the video! ❤

Recently had to paint my apartment and it was a bit of a tough experience, so this was really cathartic. I did the same in terms of turning everything into a bright white and it's calmed my mood a lot to have that blank slate.

I love a refresh! I actually painted my art room walls a soft peach color and love it. 🙊 I don't think it's as saturated as your old color was, though. I also just hung up quite a few of your prints. They make me happy and brighten up my space even more! ❤
@SusanStella1942. I start planning for birthdays and holiday gifts in January. I usually cross stitch throughout the year for gifts, and I put it into overdrive in August for the December gifts. Sometimes, I get the idea to paint wooden ornaments (from Mira's videos) or something similar, and I'll start those whenever I'm inspired. I'm almost done with all my cross-stitch gifts for this Christmas. Way to go already being done and working on the next Christmas! That's impressive!
@SusanStella1942. wow! You've been busy! I think I have five more cross stitches before Christmas, and my bestie's daughter asked me to make one, too. I feel rushed, but honestly, I'll get it done. I used to make my own cards, but I haven't done that in a bit. It wasn't something I really enjoyed, and life is too short to be doing things we don't enjoy. I can't get over how prolific you are with your crafts. So impressive!

WITH WHITE WALLS YOU CAN MATCH ANYTHING WITH IT EVEN FURNITURE, ALTHOUGH COLOURED WALLS IN PASTEL COLOURS WOULD LOOK NICE TOO. FOR AN ART ROOM

💖 I love your changes, especially getting to see so many of your beautiful paintings in the background! I brightened my studio walls with white paint too. It really makes a difference, only in my situation my canned ceiling lights now cause such obvious shadows everywhere! 😂 It is a work in progress, but it is so much fun to transform our creative work spaces! 🎨👩🎨✨

Painting is not easy to do at all!! I remember remodeling our home years ago and painting was one of the worst projects. I'll hire professionals from here on out if I ever decide to do it again. Your art room is beautiful. Enjoy every wonderful minute of it, Mira!

I love these kinds of videos. My art shed is currently under construction and I’m so excited excited because it’ll be my first ever designated art studio space so it’s fun to get inspiration and especially to think about how my choice of wall color will affect my mood and my art once I’m finally in that space 🤔
Excellent work, Mira! I remember doing my art room with my dad. It was full of stuff and I wanted to give it a full makeover. It took me and my dad weeks but it was all worth it.

It looks beautiful! 🤩 Your art room color scheme is exactly what my living room was for years, up until just a couple of months ago! I had the same color teal sofa, and possibly that same rug exactly, if not, then super similar! I actually hate the new color scheme and miss this one a ton 😅

Personally I don't like all white walls, but for the purpose of your art room it makes a lot of sense. And your art on the wall just pops so much more! Looks really good :) I can't wait to have my own hobby/art room one day!
Lol I definitely need to take a pic of my “crusty” palette lol. I actually used a cheap half of a plastic deviled egg holder for like taking on the go but anywho it’s a great palette that I could clean easier but ehhhh it doesn’t need to be lol has so many little cups that I can just use similar colors in each lol. I have such an add personality with crafts I kinda rotate so I’m not painting all the time anyway but yeah I’m team crusty paint trays lol 😂

When my daughter was 6 she got a giraffe which is her favorite animal, she named it jeff and calls him Jeffie the giraffie :) ❤
