- Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe, both 16, can now be named as the killers of teenager Brianna Ghey.
Sixteen-year-old Brianna, who was transgender, was stabbed 28 times in broad daylight in a park in Cheshire, England, in February 2023.
A judge has lifted the anonymity orders preventing the reporting of the names of Brianna’s killers.

I am sorry to the whole ND community, more needs to be done and parents and professionals need more support in treating and understanding the community. They're being detained at his magesty's pleasure, which means they will be in prison for as long as the parole board thinks they are a danger, which could very well be the rest of their lives. If they ever are released, they will be monitored for the rest of their lives and can be called back to prison at any time.
This makes no sense ... they will be given life sentences, yet there is some debate on when they will be eligible for parole??? A life sentence should mean the only way you get out of prison is in a coffin, body bag or cremation urn!!!

I feel Brianna may have felt she had met people she could relate to who accepted her for how she was but the reality was she was mixing with kids who were either sociopathic or psychopathic but nobody would have realized that until it was too late. I'm Sorry that this happened to young Brianna, it was a terrible waste of a beautiful youngster's life and she was a lovely-looking young girl. My heart goes out to the ones who are mourning for her and that this is that kind of this is that kind of mixed-up world that takes its grievances out on or predates on anyone who seems vulnerable and different.

The BBC and all.other media are staying law. They are children. Under 18s are children, the UK signed the UN convention on children's rights where tthat is stated.

I thank God, my parents and my upbringing that at 16 I had just finished my o levels and going on to form 6 to study my A levels in Zimbabwe......i passed very well and the rest is history. I can say the same for my siblings and all the my friends and classmates in school. None of us ever murdered anyone.... It just shocks me to see young children here in the west murdering other people. What happened to good upbringing..... This is bewildering.
It is universally agreed that these two killers come from good, intelligent, supportive families. It’s not always down to bad parenting, the big question in psychology is Nature or nurture?

@@dragonmummy1 it's always nature followed by nurture. A predisposition has to be there but the amount and severity in of adverse childhood experiences dictate how they turn out. In this case, these kids were running wild. No way their parents didn't notice anything unless they weren't looking
