I am a big fan of this opera I first heard it in early 1968 on a Met Broadcast with Caballe Tucker and Milnes the music was very intriguing to me at the time later my brother brought home a recording with Anna Moffo from then on I was a huge fan and still am of this masterpiece by my favorite Composer the one and only Giuseppe Verdi!!

I love this opera. So intimate as Traviata. I listen to it for the first by Luisa Marigliano, Nicola Rossi Lemeni, Flabiano Lavo, Victor de Narke at Colon Theater. Opera House, Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷 one Sunday afternoon on 1968. By that time. I was a teenager.
I like the present version and I t is the first time that I listen to Cedolins.
On record , I have a version with the beautiful Anna Moffo.
Thanks for uploading it, it is a balsam in hardship days of pandemia.

I love this production and the singers especially Nucci who I met back in 1985 is the San Francisco opera after a performance of Adriana Lecouvreur I was an usher for several seasons

Quisiera ver a uno de estos críticos en un gran escenario de ópera. Definitivamente el mundillo de la ópera está cargado de gente que no canta ni en la ducha y critican hasta a los que hacen temporadas en los mejores tablados del mundo. Pero en fin, esto pasa aquí y en cualquier disciplina. He visto muchos criticando deportistas y no son capaces de hacer 3 flexiones de muñecas
Luis actua demasiado prepotente, no se supone que es una humilde joven de campo? 🤔

Verdi resiste a tutto, a scene e costumi stupidi e inappropriati, a registi pretenziosi, a cantanti in disarmo. Viva Verdi.
There is nothing stupid nor inappropriate about this. From all of the productions in the Tutto Verdi collection i have seen so far (and I have seen all previous 13 operas) this is the first one were the staging feels natural and not like out of a museum where the singers have no idea what to do with themselves.

Una volta l'intonazione non era un 'optional'...
The whole first scene is miss-lit. It is so dark it must be night or they are in a cave. The singing is excellent from the three principals. But their work is sabotaged by the stage scene.
