Pretty amazing. You really have to know your stuff to design and set up a rig like that. One practical thing that sets this apart from most "van" tiny homes is it has the all important toilet/shower. Even if it's a small space, those two things are must haves/

I agree Riogrande. Way too overpriced for that conversion. Also has the worst motor even produced by Ford. You’ll hate the spark plugs when they snap on you. That 5.4L must get 7-9mpg down the highway especially those high of gears. Should of just spent the extra $2-3K for a 7.3 that year. More power. More efficient and more reliable. This is sadly lipstick on a pig.

People keep mentioning the cost.. and yes, it isn’t cheap.. but the professional conversion to an off-road capable 4x4 was 25K of that.. plus he farmed out the interior to a pro as well..
Having looked at a ton of the Sprinter, Transit and Fiat(RAM) vans I am familiar with their pricing.. hard to touch one for less than 100K and some can run 200+K with AWD Sprinters at the top of that. And you might need to compromise on features you want or need so… If you look at it overall.. it is kind of a bargain.. not one you can finance with any lender, but a bargain, considering he paid someone else to build it for the most part.

I appreciate the owners detailed descriptions about how the build was first conceived, designed, and then implemented. All very good choices and all made on solid considerations. The end result is a very capable off-road RV that practically anyone would be able to use and enjoy without further modifications.
However... I don't know how much power an incinerating toilet requires, but that would be my choice, and I would try to devise a means to increase the solar panel surface area.

It will go through an approval process and you will have an in-person inspection to finalize. Lastly, your rate will go UP!

I'm watching this like "yup, this is the one I'd take on the road because it's most like one I'd build." Then I see the price tag at the end and realize I'm a bougie bitch 🤣🤣🤣

The only thing that's more impressive then someone who knows the nitty gritty details of their gear is when they imagine, design and build it... this cat is the real deal!

He spent roughly $100k on something that is depreciating in value every day and will eventually rot and fall apart in the not too distant future.
I'm not saying it's a bad build (it's pretty cool actually), I'm just saying from a logistics standpoint it's a huge waste of money, but whatever! ~ LoL

With regards to your electrical system, does your AC unit have a soft start on it? Just curious.
