Ambulances responding with lights and siren in Helsinki, Finland. Both ambulances from private companies (9Lives, Onni Terveys) and from the Fire Department (Helsingin kaupungin pelastuslaitos). Also a doctor unit from the Fire Department can be seen in the video.

Yes, it's nice with all the different liverys and colors, but a little bit boring that every company and fire department in Finland seems to only buy Sprinter ambulances nowadays.

Amazing compilation, Helsinki never disappoints!
I've been wondering for a while now, it appears Finland is a country where ambulances are provided by both the fire department and private companies. Is there a difference in the level or type of services provided by the two?

Most of companies are doing transports from hospital to hospital. They have response ambulances too but mostly they are just doing transports.

In the area of the largest hospital, you can sometimes be lucky and see ambulances responding but it has happened to me that I have been there for 3 or 4 hours and not seen anything responding. At other occasions I've seen maybe 1 or 2 responding ambulances in the same amount of time.

I've never seen a hospital with more ambulances arriving there within a short time, but most of them went there without lights and sirens; Within 1 hour or 2 I spotted only a single ambulance going there with lights and sirens
