Black guy here who's voting for Trump. The problem I'm having convincing more Blacks to vote for Trump is that there's just too many open racist in "conservative" spaces. Take one look at conservative twitter spaces and it reeks of anti--Blackness. Trump could easily win the Black vote but his followers can't help themselves. Black people are not wanted in the Republican party for the most part. I few times I thought about staying home myself.
Voting for Trump in 2016 was a gamble. Now that we have their report cards, Biden has done all he warned us Trump would do. On the other hand, Biden has done all that Trump predicted.

I think the "anti-Trump" vote was the biggest reason that Biden got such big numbers. Now, a lot of people that voted against Trump in 2020, are figuring "well, Trump can't be any worse than the disaster of Biden's tenure ..." and they'll stay at home.

The Senate is weak.
I think it is basically the only way to have trust in a deal. So the Republicans want better border policy/laws, and the Democrats and President want more money to Ukraine. If they hatched a deal involving separate bills for each issue, one bill would have to proceed another. So lets say the border bill goes first, and the Republicans get what they want. But when it comes time to do the Ukraine bill the Republicans (only takes a handful to rebel) renege on the promise and sink the bill. So to ensure both sides get what they want in a political deal, they wrap both issues into a single bill that passes at one time.
It is not the way things should be done. Not least because the bills end up being so huge nobody has the time to properly read through all the consequences. It basically becomes governance via a handful of politicians (who hatch the deal) and an army of bureaucrats that actually write the bill. It just becomes a Washington political machine bill.
What's the need for a Border bill anyhow?The INA is thorough.
