As person who has played for a long while. The movement system update made it HARDER for new players. Better players still have their good aim and understand the maps. But new players have less movement so they can’t run away, avoid enemies, etc; at least as easily.
your delusional, and it’s funny to see. No rank 20, or 50 is moving at the same level as like a decent 120 or so. They literally just got out paced in movement and skill in aim before

They take criticism horribly they know that the community would sucker punch lito once for the movement update without testing and killing off letting noobs in.
As a newer player, I can tell you that the gunplay and aesthetics felt meh at best and there really wasn't much to do besides getting flattened by sweats with zero recoil ar builds. Although, skill creep and age kill pretty much every pvp game. Good players empty lobbies, it's not really their fault but that's just how it is.
I've played PF since the demo days in like 2013-2014. But I haven't played in months. I sometimes return to the game and play it like every day to the dismay of my friends and developers. Then I just hard stop and go back to the usual of not touching it for months. I didn't even know they changed the movement. I haven't played in so long that I thought you were talking about the stamina bar. I think one of the biggest problems PF has had since it came out of alpha about 8 years ago is balance. I don't think any game with this many guns in it could be balanced. I can't recall any time where there hasn't been an extremely common "sweat-gun" that literally everyone uses just because if you try to have fun with some of the more wacky guns, you'll fall off in the kills department, and everyone knows kills are everything and playing the objective is totally meaningless. Sure, games like Battlefield have tons of weapons, but they also have tons of developers. Even after a decade, and especially now with the game getting little attention from its core developers. I won't claim to know the inner workings of Stylis, but I think the only dev working on it semi-actively is raspy_pi, but I only get that impression from a private Roblox dev rel server I'm in where he talks sometimes about the new tech he's working on for PF and later COR6. The only recentish update that got me interested in playing again was the daily challenges because I like being given a goal to work towards beyond mindless kill grinding.
Here's the thing about that movement nerf - super high rank players and super good players are seldom going to use movement that doesn't directly benefit them. Most advanced movement which was removed did NOT give them much of a benefit, and the "advanced" movement that did benefit them was just binding a few things to one key and pressing it once. Wanted to move at mach 3? It was called "hopsliding", and you would press a grand total of one button to do it. Hardly a "sweat" if you're pressing one button and maybe two others to jump out of it and using an easy gun like the KRISS Vector. I've been playing PF for roughly half a decade. I was very much used to how the movement felt back when it was that much slower, and it was... okay. Picking the pace up via the techs that multibinding created allowed people of any skill to move fast, including me, someone who has never been that good at the game! It let me weave through incoming fire way better, and allowed me to strafe quickly and fire for short bursts, creating fun moments of going back and forth with opponents and meleeing when needed. Did I get 100 kill games with this? No. I have never gotten a single 100 kill game. I mostly played terribly. You know people who would do better than me? People who would camp a few memorized spots at the back of the map with an LMG and spray everyone down or people who would lock onto every head they see and use their 6th sense to have ridiculous positioning. The difference between players like me who suck and players like them? They use their brain. If you really want to do that much better in this game, you can just play smart and use info to the best of your ability. I never did that. I played to have fun and go fast. Now I don't have that, and guess what? I get better KDRs on average because of it. That's right, they nerfed movement and it made me get MORE kills. Why? Because instead of having fun, I'm more encouraged to stay back, use my brain, and try harder. 'Try harder'? So sweating? The thing that this update tried to combat? No wonder people get annoyed when they run into a bunch of enemies sitting in one place! It's annoying to a lot of people when they have to fight players who don't rush and just stick back and take as many advantages as possible. And that's not to say I'm actually mad at players who do stay behind like that. It works just fine, play like how you want to. It's just that I want to be allowed to play like how I want to as well.
I been saying for years that they really needed to change the spawn system, with how current movement is for me, I been getting spawntrapped more frequently cause I can't really move lol, I feel like this could've been the best year PF had in a long while if they actually tested the shit they produce
let's not get into how they completely broke TRG conversions when pushing out the turtle movement, I don't really mind movement exploits getting removed even if they were fun, it jus seems ass backwards to kill 85% of the movement that sliding had, which is like 90% of how current movement works
Honestly when they added the new movement it was probably the most fun that I had with the game since the cold front update then they started nerfing movement into the ground which made the game borderline unplayable due to most guns killing you in 0.5 - 1 second also it seems like the devs nerf the most random guns for zero reason and have some guns get powercrept by lower rank versions like the AG-3 and the G36
phantom forces can still be revived, i heard they were making a zombie mode for the game or something but the bad thing is that it will be a seperate game. if they port the zombie mode into the actual phantom forces game, the game will prob go up to like 7k players
as an old player, (Around dec 2015, I think) Honestly, I really regret this because the Phantom Forces community is a bit cringy and toxic and the updates always add things that aren't really important and they also ruin the original map with revamps that don't need to be done and yes, as a player, I like using slide to slide crouch and prone movement. (they nerfed slide to slide crouch and prone and kinda numb. idk if u feel it too or not but for me yes) it really made me bored with the game and yes I used to grind this game very crazy, I used to play in internet cafes and yes I spent 10 hours a day to level up rank in this game and at one point my rank reached rank 300+ there my phantom forces account was banned for no apparent reason and yes I only realized when I joined the phantom forces discord that the moderator (their game) was very toxic, sometimes banning people for no apparent reason. I stop playing this game from 2021, I already grind alot of account(rank 120,79,202, and last one 45) and yeah they ruined the game
Ima be serious with u, the Mosin was only good for aggressive sniping when using the 8mm. That's the only reason I got the Mosin, never used it for actual long-range sniping
I know i hear some of the player and youtuber said the gun got nerfed and 1 youtuber said the python or revolver is now nerfed and Previously, python or revolvers reloaded quickly, but now you insert the bullets one by one.
Something else to point out is that the TTk in PF is rather aggressive even by competitive FPS standards. It only takes one peek (as in less than a quarter of a second) and even someone with a 20 damage SMG can just wipe you to the floor before you can even reasonably react. Great for getting clips, horrible for the player experience aside from the pros. This is actually the reason why movement players have such a advantage because they can get in position to get a shot off first and 95% of the time get that kill. Movement is fine, but the gun balance and general dev mindset regarding TTk is not. Most movement shooters have much more reasonable TTk's IE Titanfall 2 where you can literally go across a map in seconds, making encounters common. And so to make them last reasonably long without getting too boring devs opt for longer TTK's. More deliberate shooters IE siege and or Tarkov has fast TTk to compensate for the slower movement, instead deriving their play value from the lead up to a shootout and the pregaming players can do. One way to balance this is to make recoil or bullet spread more random, but that is it's own can of worms. Alternatively, weapons just need less damage overall except for sniper rifles and shotguns (Which can be balanced by making their pellet spread more erratic/useless at ranges where AR's and SMG's dominate).
