ty for uploading. In Risk turney there was a dice roll in each battle, deciding if player would keep their build or swap it. i think thats why he didnt went with more oathsworn. fearing it would end up in my hands.
Unlike Warhammer you can actually get good damage by charging through your units in a melee engagement. It also lets your cav pull out safely taking little to no casualties. It's one of the many benefits that spaghetti lines let you do. Kind of stupid to be honest, but hey whaddya gonna do.
On top off increasing the surface area for as many units as possible to use their charge bonus, if a compressed unit is charged by a line, the line wraps around it like paper vs rock, effectively flanking it. (Think Hannibal at the battle of Cannae) Spaghetti liens are also less vulnerable to skirmishers and artillery, particularly in Attila with it's blobby, volley fire skirmisher system- vs a line most of the missiles fell short or went far. While this mechanic was somewhat mitigated by the fact that spaghetti liens were more vulnerable to head on cavalry charges, it also made them fairly resistant to cavalry charges into the flank- as only a small portion of the cav unit would successfully make contact on the charge (because of the shallow line), the rest would spaz out and ride past the target. It was just an unlucky product of the various ways units "fought" in rome 2, and fairly ahistorical. Spaghetti lines would get wrecked in real life.
Thanks for doing Rome 2 on the side, great fun to watch. Could you look into maybe some Ancient Empire campaign? It looks so cool, and I have yet to see an actual campaign or a patchy battle in the mod.
Heir any chance at all of a Rome 2 campaign in the near future? I've been enjoying some barbarian campaigns myself lately, it's a nice break for me from the attila type engine.
Is the point of spreading your lines thin like that just to avoid being out-flanked? It's kind of annoying that it's the standard way to play multiplayer, looks goofy
yeeeeeeaaaaah boii
Sachiel The Angeru damn you
Sachiel The Angeru I dont Getae it...
Here comes Dat Boii, o s*** waddup, Getae rekt.
Am I the only one who just loves the way falxmen look?

But but .. Romans called them Dacians and Greeks called them Getaes .. this game is weird
yaaaaaay I love warhammer but Rome 2 is equally if not more enjoyable to watch
about time some more rome 2
An enjoyable battle. Always satisfying to see a faction like the Getae used effectively
Getae grip
Adam Ruzic lol
Spagetae lines
Always good to see the Boii getae wrecked
watching 2 high skill players on this game is like an art man simply amazing to see.
Rome 2 MP FTW.
More of this, please :)
Rome content for the win!
What a game. That really was a great play by the Getae. Hats off.
thank for doing a Rome 2 :)
Never thought Gatea can beat Boii. Great play!!
this battle reminds me of the battle of cannae
LOL what how?
The one side with lots of heavy infantry, another with cavalry, no artillery, the getae won and the center line broke for the getae
Cannae both side had cavalry, artillery was only used in sieges and the Romans heavily outnumber the Carthage.
I understand that, I am just stating it reminds me of the battle because of the way the battle went and the outcome.
You should've brang a giant
"brought" a giant.
AzureDragon100 Thank's
Sir, that is some of the finest trolling I have seen on youtube in a very long time... if I had a cap to doff, I would doff my cap to you.
+Jimbo Slice Id tip my fedora for this man
This was *very* well played!

I never played R2TW multiplayer so I have a question : why all these spaghetti-thin formations ?

Gatae these dank memes out of here
Heir don't you mean the... BOI skirmishers ;D you really miss out on some dank memes ;P
Look what you need to do is use spears. Bows and melee cav defensively then annoy the with bow cav
Hey i am back again
Yess more replays

Wooooo
In the risk tournement their is a chance your armies are switched with ur opponent that's why the boii wasn't the best army
why do they extends their lines of troops so thin and long?
What about getting Sol Invictus on and co-casting a battle?
Sol's channel doesn't exist? Is this to with country of origin or something?
Look for Celtic/Balkan factions spears are mainly cheap and good
Also boii why not
Why didn't you bring any magic Heir?
Get-eye
Boi-ee
Why everyone like thin formations?
my longest gee boii ever...who know in 2013 wtf happened with boi in 2016 lmao))))))))))
Hate the spaghetti. Thank god for Warhammer
idk why nobody talk about the daco macedonian conflict
I can't wait until he start uploading something other than Gayhammer
Dat Boii
Oh shit, waddup!
see him rollin' down the street,
he be rollin to the beat
third! just kidding. wow its 2 am here and I'm watching some heir. I'll take it.
where do you live o_o
Arkansas USA like heir.
Hi
do you still play rome 2 frequently lol
Is the point of spreading your lines thin like that just to avoid being out-flanked? It's kind of annoying that it's the standard way to play multiplayer, looks goofy
That's one reason. It also applies the unit's charge bonus to a wider area, causing more damage.
Yes as their no depth in rome 2.
A 2 rank phalanx works the same as a 6 rank phalanx.
these 1v1 animations are spectacular but theu have killed total war series
Something other than WARHAMMER?! HERESY I SAY!
Also, having not seen them before, those unit cards are fucking shit.
Terrible Boii build
I wish I could like Warhammer more, but these eight dollar micro DLCs are stupid.
