OMG, I requested this within weeks of starting my subscription early this year and playing around with the TR-808 and 909 as VST's in Reason (I had a 707 back in the 80's which I sold a little over 20 years ago)! I was told that there were alternatives via various modules, but I was SO GLAD to open up my RCM and see them there. I had to jump on Google to see when they were added, lol. Thank you for listening Roland!
As much as I like the 707 and also the 727, watching this video does not spark "I want this" in my head... Clicking on a computer screen is so different compared to have a real device in front of you. Like night and day. Computers are great for office work maybe. Using one for music creation simply bores me to death. Whereas the actual machines really excite me. And they sound great, too. Using the mini faders is also of much fun.
Michael McDonald "Sweet Freedom" and "Yah Mo B There (with James Ingram)" uses TR-707 for drum tracks and 727 for percussions. Almost all songs produced by Stock-Aitken-Waterman uses TR-727 for percussions and a few of them uses TR-707 for several drum elements. You can hear many of them like songs from Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Samantha Fox, Mel & Kim, Jason Donovan, Hazel Dean, Brother Beyond, Donna Summer, Laura Branigan, Bananarama, Cliff Richard, Sinitta, Sonia, and many many more.
Yah mo be there is a Linndrum with the snare 2 chip eprom installed . Not to mention that song and album came out in 1983 , two years before the 707. Sweet freedom is a 707 yes .
Has anyone been able to tame the "sub output" witchcraft? I'm trying to route individual sounds into different channels in Fl Studio, however to no avail....If anyone has succeeded, please let me know what must be done.
Very nice...! However, why does every demo of Roland hardware and software have to use House music examples? It gets really old hearing the same basic 4/4 patterns played out across all these great machines. Cheers!
Modern Roland drum machines are not great. They need to make a comeback but we honestly don't have nothing new, their best effort is to remake versions that were designed 30 or 40 years ago. I love them, but they need to level up their game
i work only on hardware, so the cloud is not for me.. why don't you re-release the real 909 / 808 / 707 etc. ? boutique has not the same sounds, i tested the tr-09 with my tr909 and i was laughin : tr-09 sounds plastic & poor (kick, handclap... )... some companies are coming with 909 & 808 serious replicas, it has the same dimensions, the same shape, same design, same sound of your vintage machines - it is not from behringer which made poor/bad clones - so i will spend my money on this other companies...
@Жан Клон thanks for your explanation ! however i don't mind what bonedo did even if i respect a lot ; from my personal experience, i tested at home and i guarantee boutique 09 vs real 909 is not the same; with the same level etc..by the way i wanted to sell my 909 but, i have to keep it ...for example : handclap on the tr-09 is totally plastic sound, far away from the real 909....Then, i serviced my 909 recently, it is pure, as always, all work perfectly, why do you say that machines " tend to change their sound over time" it is not the truth...mine has the same sounds since more than 10 years now i own it ...i produce records ..go to the mix & mastering session..i didn't notice strange or bad sounds ...strange reflexion...maybe on some machines yes you have to service them...anyway... best regards
so many things come and go, but my 707 and 727 have been with me longer than my wife, and that will always be the case.
This is my favourite comment of all time
These machines were so beautiful.
Roland Cloud getting better and better all the time!
Thank you, we try 😅🧡
Wow! I was playing on the Roland Cloud the other night thinking wouldn't a 707/727 be cool. Next day they've added them!
You're a wizzard Harry!
Amazing, I love them and all the Roland Cloud emulations!

Finally they are available! Both are the king and queen of pop drum machines in the 80s.
🧡🙏🙌
Amazing! I never thought you could do this with the 707 or the 727

In the 1985 Gymboree version of the song "Shakin' It" (1984), the Roland TR-727 was heard.
Roland, please come out with the Boutique versions of the TR-707/727, show them some love

After This,We needs Roland R-8
🧡
Please a R8 Mk2 with all the expansions cards and outs ect ect🤗
Very cool 😜
right!
Very good!!
Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!
This is nice. Will there be a software version of the R8?
Thanks for the request.
That snare just begging for the funk to follow.
Need to make new reasonably priced hardware version
Nice!
Did the original TR727 hardware drum machine allow pitching down congas?
Huzzah! Finally. :)
Has anyone found thorough independent reviews of this on UA-cam? Is Roland not allowing reviews of the TR-707?
Por que não relançam essas máquinas ?
Boutiques???
If boutiques don't happen for these, you could look for a TR-8 with the 7x7 expansion on eBay. It's the same ACB code (sounds great!).
We need the CR78 Plug-in please
Are you gonna soon revamp the fp10?
Yes!,
Let's go!
Where do you actually drag from to create the audio? I cant work it out ha

Probably because then you focus on the sound and not the pattern.

If there was a VP9000 in the pipeline....
All products are excellent but they concume too much CPU power.
URL?
No reverb ?
Ah yes, $100 for some static samples. Def seems worth it to me
Not "static samples". Watch the video or read the product information where it's all explained.
