What's contained within this song, is one of the things that makes the classic animes so great. I can't understand a single word, but I feel it so deeply.
Honestly, it's kind of sad that the Zillion anime in general is widely unknown and has already fallen into obscurity. I count myself as lucky that I did see what little Streamline was able to produce before the company folded. Zillion will always remain as one of my favourites and I'm glad that it was one of the first series to introduce me to anime.
I disagree, Zillion has the most unique history for six reasons. 1. The anime featured in music video Scream by Michael and Janet Jackson. 2. Opa Opa is likely the first Sega character to appear in an anime and one of the earliest examples of a guest character. 3. Zillion the game was so popular in Brazil that it prolonged the life of the Master System long after it was defunct and Japan even had to make merchandise exclusive to the region. 4. It's also Production I.G's first ever anime. 5. The dub was also sampled on the single Cyberpunks by Del the Funky Homosapien (the rapping ape that once sang with the Gorillaz) 6. The guns were modelled on Sega's Light Phaser Gun for the Master System. I'd say it accomplished more than you think.
Worry not. There is still a fair number of people (such as myself) who have been continually collecting and sharing not only ALL of the music but the anime itself. I personally have all 31 episodes, this OVA and the four soundtracks that exist. (That I know of.) That includes THIS song, of course. Plus a very pleasant instrumental disc with lots of the background rock music from the anime...and even some tracks of a Apple just speaking...in that oh-so-sensual voice of hers. It's archived. :)
hell yeah! I have this on VHS, and I rememeber when I was young I dubbed the audio on to a cassette tape so I could listen to it on my walkman... damn...those were the days...the late 80's/early 90's...
one of the first few animes i saw when i was kid staying up way too late, lol i still have it on vhs, it was network one that started my humble beginings. im so glad i taped it and the others that came after it
Man... I know this comment was like 3 years ago but... She's STILL one of the hottest characters I've ever seen in an anime. Something about the chicks from the old anime sets them in their own class; apart from the rest. Apple will always be one of my favorite girls. She's always been a shining example of the kind of woman I've always wanted in my life - ever since I was a kid watching Zillion. :)
I miss beautiful, hand-drawn animation like this. Streamline Pictures fails for not dubbing the entire Zillion series in the US. Funimation needs to pick it up!
Well said. But yeah, that's another thing I loved about Rick's character. He was really the only character I liked. I wonder why it didn't work between them I wish I could find pictures of Rick, but I only found one.
Oh... And I'm currently at work listening to this song on my phone. MAN I just freakin' MELT when I hear her voice in this song. This is one of THE best tracks in anime. There is also the OVA intro. ("Nageki no KIDS".) That comes with the FULL bad-ass guitar solo by JJ. Hell... I still own the original VHS from Streamline. You can find it all on BakaBT. (Search "Zillion". But observe the rules there. They have a firm but fair trading edict. GREAT site.) Let me know if you need help. :)
Oh. Honestly, I would love to visit Japan someday while I'm still young, but that probably won't happen unless I hit the lottery anytime soon. I was also under the assumption that Japanese people made more money than average middle-class Americans, but I guess you learn something new everyday. Thanks for the info.
Hey there. If you want ALL of the music from the soundtracks and from the OVA itself... It's available. I have it. You can find it on BakaBT. (An anime torrent community.) It's all high quality rips, too. Let me know if you're still looking for this. It'd be very easy to hook you up. :)
Beautiful.

A bittersweet sayonara to the classic era of anime for me. SNIFF!
But you got to know that old anime. Better to have loved and lost.
Love this song, still do after all these years

Old generation, as long we keep the memories

Funimation ruins everything. Fuck them.
R.I.P Yuko Mizutani T_T
i absolutely loved this song and this anime...
さよならの街角
懐かしすぎる
I love this song.
To me it's more than just the end of Burning Night. It's in fact the end of all the good anime I watched when I was young.
懐かしい

I honestly thought anime made in the 1980s was darker than most of it made in the '90s and the 2K.
The feeling in the music of the era.
Still, I would love to see the Zillion series in its entirety.
Oh hell yeah
Does anyone know the lyrics to this song (Japanese) version, I want to learn this song if possible :) Please and thank you.

A song from my geek high school days dedicated to who ever .
