I just need to say.. I simply love you.. I'm only about 3 minutes into this video but I have been binge watching you since this whole rona fiasco.. but when you stopped to just take a moment to scan and take in all of you and your family's hard work, and just prior hearing you call your wife " the beautiful one" which is so beautiful in and of itself, I needed to comment.. ( I'm not a big yt commentor).. thank you for being you..! you are an absolutely beautiful soul and your family is an even greater expression of that.. much love from Fla.. ( for clarity I'm a woman..lol..)
My chickens would dig under fences to escape, so I took a band of 10inch chicken wire netting, and pegged 5inchn to the ground and the other 5 inch to the fence. Stops foxes from digging in, and chickens from digging out.
Use 2 saddle clamps on each side for that cable, we use them alot in construction and NEVER use only 1. It will always slip, especially with the jerking you have to do to get the wrestling ring moving.
Randolph has done a wonderful job on the fence it's looks great. Thanks to the Rhoades family for keeping me entertain and teaching me about chickens during this quarantine🤗
I truly believe that your dad was there with you as you were talking about the conversation about the sweet potatoes 💖 Everything looks great! Y'all are living the dream 🐤🐄🐑🐖🌱🍅🍓🌽🌻
Im with Mr. Brown. Shoes are not necessary. I hated wearing shoes as a kid. I was often told to put my shoes back on at church... and the grocery store. Lol I was riding in the basket not walking WHY did I need shoes?! Lol
Never saddle a dead horse...the saddle should be on the live end of the wire. The U portion should be dead end and saddle on the live...nuts on saddle Hope this makes sense
congrats on this fence i always love the convenience of chickens in front but i always wonder about the neighbors and noise, yours must be totally cool
Hey Justin I have a question. Why do you call one of your groups of chickens the Breakfast Posy? What does that mean? Thanks! And congrats Mr Brown for finding your shoes!
For those gaps, you might think about those wind seal barriers that you put on doors to keep wind/rain from coming in your house... kind of like mudflaps on a truck (@ least that is what they remind me of). That might slso work... Have to think of ways to keep my 10 lb dogs in the yard & that what I have to think of with them. Good luck.
That is some great-looking spinach. I read that people with thyroid diseases shouldn't eat it raw because it's goitrogenic. How you y'all prepare your greens to eat? I didn't really grow up eating greens, and I'm trying to learn to expand my pallet.
Been doing that for 15 years. This is the only year we've had problems, so I honestly don't think it's that. It's more likely because we haven't been consistent feeding the egg shells back and they need more calcium.
I'm so sorry about your Dad. What a nice tribute to him to plant his sweet potatoes, I hope it brings healing to you both! Beautiful One, where did you order the sweet potato slips from? And what kind of wood do you use for your soil block trays and raised bed frames? Your lettuces look amazing, so big so soon, and such neat rows - didn't you just plant them with the new Jang? It looks like it did a great job for you!! Thank you!!!
That’s one of the nicest times of the day- taking a moment to observe and appreciate the beauty and the fruits of our labor.lavender oil ASAP works on stings for me. ( that’s bee and wasp stings). This is coming from a man who left you a sweet potato legacy....speaking for myself, there were several things I did after Dad passed that I know he would have done if he could. And it strengthened that connection I felt with him. Btw, lovin’ that pig dance!

Just got 5 chickens and planted about a hundred seeds. Homestead life

I love how Gideon has grown and matured over time in 2016 he could barely speak words now he's growing his own garden
Loving jonah’s entrepreneurial pitch about the excavator.
Those kids are learning how to work. ❤️ it!!
This is how you remember loved ones. Mr. Brown's grandchildren will plant sweet potatoes for Boots.
Randolph has done a wonderful job on the fence it's looks great. Thanks to the Rhoades family for keeping me entertain and teaching me about chickens during this quarantine🤗
Suggestion for the gate - gap: put a strip of that material, that is covering the mineral feeders, across the bottom of the gate. Blessings.
“Where is Mr. Brown’s bike?” Says the man who is desperately searching for his wire clamp!! Hahaha
I truly believe that your dad was there with you as you were talking about the conversation about the sweet potatoes 💖 Everything looks great! Y'all are living the dream 🐤🐄🐑🐖🌱🍅🍓🌽🌻
Love how you call him Mr Brown, can anyone tell me how this came about? Love it ❤️
Love the fence you had made to hold the chickens.
I think they recommend 2 of those cable holder things, side by side.
Sweet potatoes, made me smile!!! with moist eyes!!!
So glad!
Hello from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada! Love watching your channel!
I can’t wait to see the sweet potatoes growing in honor of your dad🥺💕 much love
What a team. What a well oiled machine!!!
Use some of the heavy plastic like on the door of the walking. Put it on the inside. It will give as you open and keep the chickens in.
the garden is coming along great. thanks for your video
Thank you for your videos, they mean more than you know. Your family always seems to touch my heart and I appreciate that.
Paving stones won't rot. Could be used to make the bottom of the fence less 'digable'. Leave a 1/4 or 1/2 inch clearance.
Lol. Just watched Jonahs blog. I really enjoyed that. I'd love to see him blogging about chores.
It's my birthday today (28th) as well! Happy late Birthday Grandma!!

Your farm is looking good :)
Just a little info, wood will rot. When I was a kid my mom always used metal pipes around the bottom of the chicken pen.
A great chapter. A little abrupt final . But excellent day. A expect the sweet potato
Wire rope clamp or clip. D clamp. They have a few names.
Jonahs vlog was great tell him I loved it
-his first sub ;)
It's called a cable clamp. For the pressure you put on your pull cable you should have two clamps on each side.
We need a amazon store from you see so many great things I could use but don’t know where to get or find it
Great vid
Love your new fences! Are you going to do more "car port" pigs?
Awesome guys!

Aww jail for chickens who break out 😅 naughty chickens

Love the video keep up the great work
Justin, every day I watch you let the chickens out of your chicken tractor. But I never see how you get them in there.
Sweet potatoes for boots 😢 I shed some tears with you..
You are encouraging the chickens to become egg eaters
Been doing that for 15 years. This is the only year we've had problems, so I honestly don't think it's that. It's more likely because we haven't been consistent feeding the egg shells back and they need more calcium.
Love you
Saddle clamp I believe
I would have trained mr. brown by tying his shoes with square knots.
