Columbus Cromor is an excellent tube set (it has the same mechanical performance as Reynolds 631). The frame is welded with a micro-TIG technique (not simply TIG), so it is certainly very resistant. The frame (without fork) weighs 2kg, so it's quite light too. It's definitely not a high-end track bike, but I wouldn't call it an entry-level bike either. It is certainly an excellent mid-range bicycle and by changing the fork it can certainly be used to try the first crit races

I like Cinelli styling. The tipo pistas have the best paint colorways in the industry. The eggplant purple one is unbeatable. The Mike Giant stuff is cool.

I've seen the supercorsa up close - they're super nice, but expensive - like I said - you are paying a brand tax. At least it's not another Vigorelli (not that I have anything against Vigorellis, but it seems like every Cinelli posted online is a vig, with a few sharks thrown in).

I like that they do full custom sizes and colors. Not many companies do that and if they do it is over 3000 easy just for the frame or around 5000. I can not afford It now but it would be about 1500 US from Kory York if I ever went for it. They compete with Dosnoventa as "hand built in Italy" frames. they ky initials remind me of KY jelly tho... haha
it's a clip from an earlier batch of videos - you can see it was taken at a different location. The chainring is also different, as is the cog (a 17T novatec), and you can't see it, but I had a different stem and bars back then (bullhorns). I took the brake off in August, when I changed from bullhorns to risers, and my current fork (a Kory York r28) is undrilled.

The All-City Big Block, which you’ve reviewed favorably, is also 4130 chromoly, and it has, in my opinion, an overpriced of $1,000 for the complete, $599 for the frame? Yeah true, I noticed the overpriced bikes myself and no one seems to talk about it. Since you seem to be like minded, what do you think is worth the complete bike for some one who can't spend $1000 or even $700 on a complete bike, $500 might be pushing it too but that could be something I could work towards in the future. I have spent about an hour on a fixed gear bike that wasn't mine. It had toe straps and I spend a good amount of time trying to figure out how to skid and cannot, in a million years, even after getting it down, imagine using mtb pedals on a track bike. If (when) I build a track bike, I hope I discover that I was doing something fundementally wrong, because I would be accidentally unclipping 100% of the time and only slowing down by sliding on my ass if I were to use mtb pedals.
Heck yeah! I have an old prerrie breaker, a Schwinn traveler, that mostly just sit there now as the Wabi urban also just sits there, cuz im always at work... :(

My experience is sort of the opposite this summer I went from fixed (because of your videos) to single speed, then drop bar gear road bike, ultimately ended up at weird hybrid cruiser distance rider. I appreciate the uncompromising character of fixie riding but like hills, cars, weather, real life shit just gets in the way. Also consider changing your stance on biking bibs (bike clothes). My asshole and taint are forever grateful I spent the money to keep them happy

The "not stylish" thing factors in for sure. For me personally, as much as I like my fixie, it's not my only bike. Messenger bags can be annoying for sure, but once you get a system down they're pretty handy. Your not getting around that back sweat on moderate or longer commutes though..))

hard to say in that case. I spent over 1200 on this (give or take, and I got the frameset at a discount), but that's a 365 euro wheelset, and them NJS components are not exactly cheap either. On the other hand, you could get something like this: www.njs-export.com/collections/frames/products/stratos-double-purple-fade-55-5cm (I don't know your frame size, so I linked a 55.5cm one) - these are used NJS Keirin frames (and the price includes NJS-approved bottom bracket, and headset - typically a shimano, or a hatta super swan). Depending on the frame you chose, they go for anywhere between 500, and 1200 bucks, but, you know - NJS ;)
The Tutto is the continuation of the MASH Work. The grey one is cool and masculine. The new one is more feminine in style. My favorite bike is my MASH work. It's comfortable and lends to more upright posture. And, I have 38 c Herse Barlow pass tires on it.
Call me a fool, but to me a bike with carbon fork is a road bike, derailleur on or off. As I see Nitto, they make some not common parts like bag supports and handlebars of unique geo and sizes. But Nitto stems, are they unique?
@@event4216 i also liked that at 73 degrees, it's almost paralell to the top tube (headtube angle is actually 74.5). And for what it's worth, I have since switched to a flat crown steel fork, for that full steel frameset feel, though the carbon one rode great.

i practiced on a flat patch of dirt and/or lifted my rear wheel to start it to make it easier to get the technique down.

Why do fixie riders rarely have pannier racks on the back of their bikes? It just makes it much more comfortable and less sweaty when riding.

I started at 46x17, now 46x16, and no problem riding up 5-6% inclines (we have a couple of those in Warsaw).
A commuter frame whit out rack/fender mounts? why is that a thing I see that allot.
What about Cinelli Tutto Plus? Seems like a good commuter but pretty heavy
If you think the stock gazzetta fork is ugly, the tutto fork is next level hideous. Fortunately, Kory York makes a nice, lugged, flat crown fork.
