Mechamorphs are made of symbiotic nanites, but they should all be the same size. So if anything, they would just mash into each other, resulting in a bigger upgrade because there's now more nanites.

Actually it was an error as the Omnitrix sensed a hacker so it attacked ben but its fail safe kicked in attacking the Omnitrix trix causing another fail safe to take place so an error deleted up grade

Ben forcefully tried to upgrade the omnitrix which activated the safety protocol of the Omnitrix

Basically upgrade or any galvanic mechamorph can upgrade the watch but cause it has safety features to prevent the Omnitrix from being tampered it can't in the sense when Ben has it.
Upgrade technically can’t upgrade the omnitrix, because the omnitrix already IS Galvan tech. Its patterns are the same as an Upgrade. It’s proven to shapeshift, interface with other tech and organic matter, and have sentience. Which means, it’s the same thing as a mechamorph. This also might explain how it transforms humans or others into different species, including being able to warp itself to latch onto Ben’s arm.
Never thought of that, I guess the omnitrix is a mechamorph that just remembers dna. And that makes the mechamorphs being a creation of the galvans rather than a species make a lot more sense
@@BigblackDavis the transformations are “upgrading” human dna to adapt to the alien species. This is why all characters in the show call humans “primitive”. Because our dna is on such a baseline, that it can be altered with relative ease. Seen with the DNAliens.. they can be altered and repaired without any long lasting damage to the person. Like nothing ever happened.. looking at the omnitrix, you can see the same green “motherboard” design on the dial piece.
Not only, it “updating” itself IS it upgrading itself.. it cannot be altered by an outside source, because we saw how that happened in the movie. An Upgrade interfering with the omnitrix only caused the aliens to leave the watch as they became sentient beings separate from Ben. Even turning any living creature, like Ben’s parents, into aliens, like Wildmutt and Heatblast. It malfunctioned and overloaded.

I think we're forgetting that Grey Matter is also in the watch, being Ben's most intelligent alien. He should be able to solve the complexity of the Master Control and assist extracting a sample of Upgrade to be infused into the watch permanently
and he did, in that one Ben 10k timeline in UAF

While it's plausible, it would come with some hidden consequences such as being stuck as an alien for days or weeks without changing back. 🎉
It sounds like there was a consequence - apparently the Omnitrix’s antivirus kicked in and deleted upgrade

You know what, I think it's logical and illogical simultaneously.
Logically it makes sense that Upgrade's kind can unlock everything in the device (features, DNA, master control, etc.) and I think it's logical that to keep the access, you need to make that DNA constantly work within the Omnitrix at the expense of losing the transformation. Fair trade.
Here's why I find it dumb... It's technically not upgrading anything and Upgrade is being treated like a key which is dumb. If the upgrade solution was to turn the Omnitrix (Original Series) into the final Omnitrix (Omniverse) AS WELL as unlock everything, THEN I wouldn't complain because Upgrade improved the tech and unlocked everything in said tech
Upgrade isnt just an alien that upgrades things he can control and manipulate the tech as well. He can be used to hack and just operate the device normally as well. Besides the omnitrix is made of nanotech thats similar to upgrade so he might be able to hack it but he wont be able to improve cause the omnitrix is made of similar tech and its more advanced than upgrade himself

We did see Ben upgrade his omnitrix as a galvanic mechamorph in the reboot, but could he actually upgrade it in the classic series, and could he upgrade an another ben varisnt's omnitrix like ben 23

Plus, mecamorph armor altered the omnitrix in Destroy All Aliens.

My head cannon is the prime Omnitrix doesn't allow upgrade to merge with it and if Ben tried either Upgrade would get an error message or the Omnitrix would just turn Ben back. I also believe that the Omnitrix has mechamorp components mainly the dial. Either it's an earlier version of mechamorp from before Azmuth glorped the moon or a kind of Ship situation where yes it is technically mechamorp not enough to be a person but enough to learn and understand Ben

What if upgrades upgrade to the omnitrix is making the omnitrix no longer a seprate device that fuses to the wearer but instead and actual part of the wearers DNA. Like it can no longer be seperated, because Ben is the omntrix.

That probably only works in the reboot, in the Classic timeline Azmuth design the final omnitrix so no Galvanic Mechamorph can tamper with it (not even Upgrade)
This could apply to the reboot series but not the OG Ben 10 continuity.

Actually in the original ben 10 continuity ben uses upgrade on the omnitrix while fighting vilgax

Ngl the reboot's Upgrade actually looks cool, the black and purple gives it a feeling of arcane which works perfectly with his power to upgrade anything with technology in it

He installed this after the prototype was tampered with by Malware, who was the primary offender. Likely though, other Nanomech species like Megawatt and Nanomech would also be defended against.

In Destroy All Aliens, we can see a mechamorph suit be used as a tool to repair errors in the omnitrix so it's already safe to say that the mechamorph can indeed upgrade the omnitrix. And to prove the possibility of the DNA itself removing itself from the device to upgrade it is plausible, we can look to Primus in AF. Ben tricks Vilgax into becoming Goop and take the omnitrix off, leaving Vilgax still in the goop transformation for a brief moment.
Everyone be told hates on rebooted series, but no one has brought up the fact that the bed was the only been to think of using Upgrade to upgrade the Omnitrix. They one time a Ben has thought of doing this.

Well in the prime multiverse we also see a gavanic mechamorph upgrade the omnitrix, more specifically mechamorph armor briefly, as well as Ben 23's Upgrade upgrading Bens Clockwork
There was also in Destroy all aliens where a Galvan piloting a Galvanic Mechamorph Suit fixed an issue with the Omnitrix thereby also implying that Upgrade could upgrade the Omnitrix
as a kid i always wondered this for the classic series but they never explored it , so i just came to the conclusion that since the omnitrix is embedded in ben's dna it could have a negative effect on his genome giving him deformed mutations , on the other hand it could turn him into an osmosian but even if he was mutated, the omnitrix has the power to correct damaged dna like in alien force when he defeated the highbreed , which is why upgrade cant upgrade the omnitrix , it would just revert itself back(since its part of ben) , another theory

I think this would have been handled better if he met another of Upgrade's race and ended up befriending him, only for his new friend to have to upgrade the Omnitrix to save them from Vilgax. Could have been a sweet moment, along with this idea that his new friend is always with him in the watch.

I don't think so like the great azmuth already used galvanic mechamorphs parts in it and the prototype has a mechanism of constant upgrade. Azmuth already thought and placed certain parts that will evolve prototype to his max form or until Omnitrix is ready
Personally I’d like for it to be that galvanic mechamorphs can’t combine with things that are a higher tech level than them. Which would provide justification for why it never happens in the first three series.

Unlocking master control in exchange for upgrade is interesting but I feel like upgrade is underused in general so it's not a huge trade off

Azmuth was smart enough to see this coming so he made the Omnitrix in a way that upgrade can't get in the Omnitrix

A upgrade to the omnitrix would be a better version of the ultramatrix and the fusion omnitrix from ultimate alien being able to maximise the power of a alien and combine 2 or more alien's best qualities sounds like a good upgrade to me.

Well I don't think so cz a galvan likely created the species of "upgrade" so he should have made sure that the species of "upgrade" couldn’t upgrade the omnitrix and whereas many galvans like Azmuth even could not totally know the knowledge and the functions of the omnitrix.It was only Azmuth who was the master and creator so as the species of the creator can't do anything to the omnitrix usually so upgrade will be unable to do it
It could upgrade omnitrix if the user was a galvanic mecamorph but that would just make all the aliens into a slimey

Ship was a piece of a fully sentient mecamorph. Since he was only part of one that became it’s own creature, he suffered a state of less intelligence. I’m not sure if this is permanent or more like Ship was the mecamorph’s child and it just needed to grow up.
If mecamorph’s reproduce asexually, then Ship being a piece of one would be just like having a child for them.
Actually on the Classic series it's impossible becaude there is a lock, mainly because of malware. But in the reboot is possible

Also, the omnitrix can be upgraded. It upgraded itself between the first series and Alien Force. Then Albedo made the Ultimatrix. Then Asmuth made Ben his “perfected” Omnitrix at the end of Ultimate Alien.

Actually, this is only true in the reboot, as in the classic, the omnitrix is stated as "level 20" technology, and upgrade can only reach "level 5"
