Forgot to say this a long time ago, but thank you for being my mentor Matthew Ashworth. You taught me how to do electroswing, though I must admit, (only took me 4 months to learn almost every move electro swing has to offer). And with the support and love from my family, I have started my own TikTok account, and UA-cam channel. I owe part of my success to you Matthew Ashworth, and I hope that one day I will get the chance to meet you in person.
Oh wow, thank you very much for the kind words. I am really pleased that my videos have helped you. That is very impressive that you've learned every electro swing move in just 4 months. Must've been practising every day. I'll check out some of your videos. :)
@@MatthewAshworth Yep, at first I practiced everyday for 4 months straight for 2-4hrs a day, but somewhere along the line I became addicted now I cant stop dancing... Some days I was even up till 12 o'clock midnight just dancing nonstop. I'd dance until there was no more moonlight left...
@@mr.lostrythm7876 Woah! Your legs don't hurt after so much dancing in the same day? I can see how you've made progress so fast in 4 months if you did 2-4 hrs a day. I think if you keep up the frequent practice, you'll make progress very quickly and will be doing crazy stuff in no time (well, you've already started on that with the travelling Charleston). Practice is so important. Wish I had more time these days to practice daily. XD
@@MatthewAshworth Actually, my legs did hurt. At first it was the worst pain you can possibly imagine! To put into perspective how painful it was, try imaging what it'd feel like to saw your own legs off. Because of this, I try not to dance as much anymore, and limit myself to no more then an hour or two every other day. Overworking my legs like I used to, seriously injures them, rendering me unable to dance for long periods of time, or partake in my daily workout routine. Which is not good, because I can't live without dancing!
Thank you. That's awesome that the videos helped to get you inspired. I try to fit in the dancing every now and again despite the busy days. It sure brings back fond memories.
That was great, I really like the way you threw "almost all" of the elements together. It is nice to see someone that enjoys what they are doing rather than someone who tries to act like the world revolves around them. You make it fun not just for yourself but other people too. Thank YOU
Thanks very much for the kind words. I think to make this entertaining for the viewers is a big aspect of this dance style. Whenever I watch other dancers, it's the most entertaining dances that keep my attention the best. :)
Smooth mate. Excellent *chef's kiss* . By the way, will there be any further future tutorials. I have learnt like all that you've taught so far. And now....I...I so do need more. 🤧
Thank you. Much appreciated. I do want to make some more (I recall I had a few of them planned). Trouble is finding the time and energy in my day to make them. XD
Hey Matthew! Really great performance that you got there. I hust wanted to thank you for the fact that you devote your time towrds making these electro swing tutorials, I've really been enjoying these. I have a question though: when you do for example the running man, how heavy do you step on the ground (since you're supposed to be landing on your back part of the foot after all). I'm asking bc I'm afraid I'm to clumsy and making too much noise for my downstairs neighbours. Is it supposed to be a heavy landing?
Hiya. Thanks for watching and the support. With running man, I'd say when you're starting out, the landing will be quite heavy and firm as you'll be trying to maintain your balance, but as you get more familiar with it and it will be easier to keep balance, you'll be able to land with more lightness. At least this has been the case in my experience. However, if we're talking about downstairs neighbours, then yeah, there will be some impact against the floor even when you manage to do the whole movement with lighter landing. This is especially the case if you're doing it with shoes on.
@@MatthewAshworth Thanks for the answer. I guess when the dancing is all about really shaking everythin out, then I can't help but make noise too! I guess I'll have to pay the price of not being able to dance until 3 AM then ;)

@@schlaubischlumpf211 Yeah, it's kind of hard not to make any noise when dancing, especially when the dance is so energetic. :)
