When I first played Fallout, it was Fallout 1 and misreading the game made me think that Nuka Cola was both rare and never respawned, so I hoarded every bottle in a footlocker in the BoS bunker. Ever since it's been my Fallout tradition to play as a character that is a Nuka Cola superfan but never drinks it, just keeps it all in a footlocker somewhere in the world.
I used to save every bottle in 3 and 4 until I played 76 where your almost forced to used as health early. I don't cherish every bottle anymore...
I bet fallout 3 was a blast for you when you met sierra huh? God fallout 3 is my absolute fav game in the series...
@@MinutemanOutdoors Yeah she is great, holding off playing Nuka World until I can up my sneak skill so I can get the Nuka Nuke without killing her.
@@melkhiordarkfell4354what? You can get the nuka nuke without killing her and without sneak
Don't forget Nuka-Cola Dark. All the refreshing enjoyment of Nuka-Cola plus the joy of getting falling-down drunk.
Nuka Victory also technically gets you drunk (not in game though) because it’s Nuka cola and vodka.
The funniest thing about Nuka Cola is that they are somehow the most subtle and least exaggerated parody in Fallout, the Coca-Cola company is just like that.
Yeah, but the whole nuka cola thing does fit the universe very well and I love it
@@deanharstad5404 when you think about it…
what’s Fallout’s equivalent for Pepsi.
Coca-Cola should've done a Nuka-Cola bottle to promote the Fallout TV show
In 2015, Jones Soda partnered with Bethesda to make Nuka-Cola Quantum as part of a promotion for Fallout 4
Vim was my fav personally because they held better morals toward their customer base plus they weren't trying to give everyone a lil bit of cancer either lol
Yea everything about them and sunset sarsparilla are far better than nuka cola
Sunset Sarsparilla gang 👇
I remember 2010 playing fnv for the first time and thinking that sunsets were better than nukas...til i realized they are pretty damn close stat wise. It was about that time i stopped using anything besides stimpaks and radaway anyways so theres a nuka machine and a sunset machine in the lucky 38 chock full of the drinks i pick up but never use.
BIG IRONNN, BIG IRONNN, WHEN HE TRYED TO MATCH THE RANGER WITH THE BIG IRON ON HIS HIP, BIG IRON ON HIS HIPPPP
when i first started playing fallout i never noticed that nuka cola was a coca cola paordy
@@BOSBird anyway I miss zun it was a rocket bottle delicious drink(fizzy juice) but dum teenagers already on drugs got it banned by saying it got them high
If you listen to pirate radio in fo76 you can even hear radio dramas that are nuka cola ads violently slandering vim soda.
Not only is nuka cola a parody of hersheys/coca cola but i remember years ago reading something about nuka cola beating out coca cola from the market along with a couple other real world brands but it either didnt make it into canon due to copyright issues or it was in an early game and it was removed for copyright reasons.
So disregarding copyright, Coca-Cola is technically canon in the Fallout universe! It's like with Oreo, where the name brand Hydrox was beat out by generic brand Oreo that crowned that household brand title.
Especially since it’s said that Nuka cola was sued by another company, most likely coke, for stealing their soda bottle design.
Sound logical because in FO4 opinion you can se a soda bottle with no brand on it because it’s supposed to be in the 1940s I always saw that that as the coca-Cola
Never forget that when the Nuka Girl rocket suit was released as a Halloween costume, stores could not keep up with demand because it was so insanely popular.
If nuka cola becomes a real thing created by Bethesda, let's be real....may cause actual fallout 😂😂
This sounds like American companies before Teddy Roosevelt broke them up
You're everywhere 😂😂 had this thought too. People gotta ununderstand, nula cola is just like Cherry, Grape and Orange cola- which there was briefly an orange cream cola- wasn't bad
I saw on an info screen during loading a game, it said they changed the bottle design to the rocket shaped bottles after a competitor sued them for using their curvy shaped bottles. i believe that competitor to be the Original Coca Cola company.
Atomic Era art always comforts me and makes me happy for some reason. It's just so inviting and happy. All we have today is that DISGUSTING corporate art style that Google and instacart and all other big corps use in animated ads. We need to go back
Lol for real, ive never played fallout but i do line metro 2033 and wolfenstein, their architecture and art is nostalgic for some reason
I’m personally more of a Sunset Sarsaparilla person but nice video mate
It's so popular in fact it's popular outside of it's universe.
Controversial opinion but after finally giving in and buying the Far Harbor DLC...Vim Quartz is superior to all Nuka Cola
They made a whole ass amusement park 6 years after the founding of the company
Don't forget the best flavor: "Nuka-cola vaccine: It has my blood in it!"🤣🤣🤣
I love the dlc when you can just mix the nuka-cola to make better one it makes it more interesting
Gotta love some isotope in your Nuka cola quantum 🙂
Love the sentiment, it's just that nearly every element is an isotope. Carbon-12(better known as just 'carbon' because it's so much more abundant than the others) is a prime example.
@@phoenixofthestix the difference with isotopes is that there's more neutrons, but because there can never be less we can call that limit a base element instead of an isotope. FFS
Never played fallout, do they actually put nuclear stuff in the soda 🤔🤷♂️
@@Virgus-vj3xrIn the blue glowing one, Nuka Cola Quantum, there is a bit of nuclear material called Strontium-90 or something. The reason for this is that Quantum isn't really supposed to be drank, it's a modified version of a government funded weapon. Actual Nuka Cola has, IIRC, 120% the daily amount of sugar, so it isn't much better lol.
Fallout lore is pretty weird
@@Virgus-vj3xrIdk? But you can achieve bioluminescent blue when you add a certain species of algi.
My personal favorite: *Nuka-Cola: My Blood's In It!*
Nuka cola is one of the most interesting things about the fallout world
I’m pretty sure this is word for word from a Nuka-Cola short from N_orte
Nuka cola is life, baby.
Always been a sunset sarsaparilla guy myself, I prefer my drinks without the rads 🤣
the only thing I just don't understand is, that in the cinematic intro to Fallout 4 you can see a Nuka Cola bottle way back in 1945 in the clip that showed Nates Great great grandpa's wife and his son.
My guess it's just an error from Bethesda, sorry I mean a feature.
Imagine Fallout in Atlanta and seeing Nuka-Cola as a larger presence there
I absolutely love the bottle design of nuka-cola
I really want to taste grape flavour Nuka Cola 😅

Nuka Quantum was also used in the war since it made intestines glow and could be seen at night to find enemies. Always thought that was cool
How this is not yet a product is insane ..
Sunset gang rise up
I sure do love all the side effects of sunset sasprilla (can’t spell) (I’m retarded)
Bro this is wild, i just stumbled upon two lore videos with the exact same script word for word.
Vim is more like Faygo, more of a local phenomenon than a real competitor to the world wide Nuka Cola.
Nuka Cola Cherry was always my favorite
I don’t care what people say Nuka cola is better than sunset sarsaparilla
I agree but I love Sunsets existence, I wish Fallout 4 had some scattered around.
"Nuka-Cola, a refreshing explosive flavor"
Probably their slogan before the nuke start dropping
Quantum : You need A LITTLE REVIVE!
You forgor nuka victory
Wish Bethesda would marked Nuka cola as it's on brand would love to see Nuka cola machines every where in real life 😂
Universal needs to open a part of the park up and recreate nuka word
The Vim captains blend hit hard
In 2044 in real life, I'll be 45. I hope there's nuka cola by then.
The nuka-cola mascot is like peashooter mili r34 type.
My favourite part about the quantums was reading about how the first test batches pretty much ended the people testing them, thanks to the radioactive ingredient they added to quantums (the advertisment gimmick was that it made your pee glow,, as well as making the drink glow as well)
We need a pre war fallout game based on the rise of nuka cola where you play as one of the mercenaries to hunt down competitors lmaoooo
If only I had this much interst in the lore of real life I'd be a goddammit professor
Nuka cola went from founded in 2044 to so big they opened an amusement park in 2050 🐐
"clothing-" *pauses*
Petition to put Nukaine back in Nuka-Cola
It's also worth noting, per Fallout Tactics, Nuka Cola changed up their flavor at one point, which ended up being a total flop, after which they went back and called it Nuka Cola Classic, a parallel to real-world Coca Cola history
Sunset was my favorite simply for the start bottle caps side quest.
Oh boy, only twenty more years!
i never could have thought it was so new compared to when the bombs dropped
you could say it was the cola wars
BOS Bird, This is amazing! I subscribed right away!
"John-Caleb Bradberton? HOW EXCITING!"
Did you know that whilst under the effect of jet, the jet pack is more effective? You fall slower, and move faster, which allows you to fly better, also you can fly basically indefinitely if you have aid which restores AP in bursts.
We just gotta wait now
My fav Nuka Cola is Quantum it makes me feel radioactive 😂
sunset sarsaparilla was a real competitor with nuka cola and they put up a hell of a fight
vim didn't stand a chance
ever time i see the nuca cola fridge i immediately think juggernaut
They should make Nuka-Cola armor and it’s made of whatever Nuka-cola bottle is made of
nuka cola has always been nostalgic, i made a entire bar in fallout 4 with as much whisky and just about almost every nuka cola flavor
Interestingly, since the Fallout world only diverges from our own after 1945, that means that Coca-Cola definitely existed and was a thing for more than 50 years at that point. Considering Nuka Cola wasn't created until 2044, it was probably still the most popular Soft Drink up to that point.
My favorite version is Nuka-Shine. You never know where you end up
Shortly before = a few hours
John-Caleb Bradberton. I love subtlety.
I find it comforting that so many still enjoy FO4 as much as I do. Then I discovered in game roleplay. This has made it 100X better. Simply having a mindset during the entire game is fun. I err on the side of good so I preserve human life. Extra safe places for humans to exist. We do tolerate robot kind and synths too 😁
I roleplayed as a Chinese spy/ tech enthusiast. Such a fun experience, and my character was gorgeous
I was so high, involved in eating my Cheeto puffs I thought this video was talking about the Juggernog perk from call of duty the *entire* time…
Something about playing a game for the first time as a kid you jsut cant touch later in life man
The fridge looks like the juggernaut power up in cod
The nuka-cola machine looks just like the juggernaut machine from call of duty zombies
Actually, vim was only popular in the state of Maine, while sunset was popular out west mostly
Also something not mentioned is that nuka-cola weaponry went under development at some point with the nuka-nuke, weaponized nuka-cola grenade, and thirst zapper+weaponized nuka-cola ammo (Project Cobalt), but maybe that would require a more in-depth video than what a short can provide
I always horded it but recently found how useful it is as a healing item
I love the graphic t shirt creation club add on because I thought it made no sense that the only place to find bucks cola gear was in nuka world
There was so much Red in the Nuka World dlc that I started to despise the color for a while afterwards
A glowing pop would be a good seller.
The nuka cola corporation is such a cool rabbit hole to explore.
Dang I didn't know fallout is that popular this august
Vim and nuka cola are like the same. Vim captains blend is like nuka victory or quantum. Vim even has a quartz version just like nuka cola
If disney was a soda company.
As i remember, there also was an Not realesed Nuka-cola clear , recipe of which we can find in fallout 3 in the Nuka-cola power plant.
Learning fallout lore almost makes you wish for cyberpunk dystopia instead
Man, the Fallout lore is deep.
You forgot about Nuka-Cola power armor, the most expensive merch out of all
Back in the day, all nuka cola was nuka cola quantum
Actually, Nuka-Cola Quantum was released on the EXACT day the bombs dropped.
Yet it somehow is fucking everywhere, very cool bethesda. :>
