This was definitely an interesting video. Here and there I like to learn about odd or unique events of history but I didn't expect to be watching one on a tapestry.
    Well done!

I certainly wish I had seen this Tapestry when I visited France this last spring (2023)! Surely next time!!

Love that tapestry! When I went to Normandy to visit the D-day beaches I made sure to stop at Bayeux to see the Cathedral and the tapestry there.

Definitely a must see! I'm hoping to head down to Reading and see the copy there

I've researched the tapestry for years, this is exciting new info about Sir Lancelot's documents!

seeing as how much textiles have failed to be preserved even from 500 years ago it is amazing that this piece has surved in tact pretty much for this long! Understanding how much human history has been deliberately and accidently destroyed... it is a good lesson.and I think this should be completely secular

Fascinating and as in-depth as possible given the time limit of the video. Bravo! Another outstanding and capturing historical info blitz!

This was really nice. Didn’t expect to pay full attention to a vid about a tapestry. History just has a way of making things interesting

    it's a misnomer.
Embroidery really. Still, tells a story vividly.
The audio moves you along at a cracking pace and when it ends, you can't rewind. The end of the audio is at the end bit of the cloth and you pop out at the exit.
But the other exhibits in the small museum is good too.
Base yourself in Bayeaux and do tours out to the landing beaches and a day for Mont St Michel.
    cheers from Sydney Australia

When I make a tapestry, I hire a decent artist.

Yeah, I think this was a few hundred years before the art of the renaissance period. Even in the 14th century things remained rather grim on the British-Franco art front.
